Store is clean, in busy shopping center with lots of things around but their prices are so high and overpriced. No one asked us if we needed help and we were looking around in all sections for different people in our family, everything is marked up anywhere from $10-35 more than what you could find literally anywhere. Walked right next door to journeys - Birkenstocks $30 less. Husbands shoes $50 less, middle kids shoes $45 less. I don't understand why they're prices so high? read more

The bald manager I think his name was ken basically said you clearly didn't read the tag it clearly states that this is a whole different shoe because I did the mens section yesterday and it was not with that shoe but the shoes display and boxes underneath were all near that price tag. This isn't the first time he has been completely rude when I go in and same goes with all the employees they hound you at the door as if you are going to steal while you are there. The only manager that actually has any customer service skills is Anthony and I think he works during the day. But as for kens disrespectful customer service where he thinks he's better than the customer needs to get his team trained and actually doing their jobs ensuring that everything is priced correctly before telling the customer that they were in the wrong and not the store itself when it was their fault for mislabeling prices and not blaming other customers throughout the day that could have moved the price. MAYBE HAVE YOUR EMPLOYEES CHECK DURING THE DAY THE PRICE TAGS AND NOT HOUND EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT COMES THROUGH THE DOOR. Honestly I can see why many famous footwear's went out of business. One star...yeah, that's pretty harsh. However, here's why it was warranted: I was in this Famous Footwear on a Sunday at 5:30 looking to buy a pair of shoes for work. I work as a manager in a warehouse, so a good pair of shoes is vital. I was looking to buy a pretty expensive pair of walking shoes (somewhere in the range of $80-100, more if it was warranted), and I made this very clearly known by trying on multiple pairs of shoes in the store. At 6 PM (30 minutes after I initially entered the store), an associate comes up to me and asks if I'm doing okay. I was relieved because I wanted an opinion and I had been waiting on someone to check up on me. I asked him which he would recommend, and he very, *very* quickly ran down two or three brands without any justification as to why. At that time, another associate very conspicuously began turning off display lights. "Are you closing?" I asked. The guy answered "We're closed." Not "Yeah, but I'm happy to help you find a good pair of shoes". It was extremely obvious that they wanted me out of the store. They had to unlock the door to let me out. It was *exactly* 6:00 PM. As a former manager of a Best Buy store, that makes me cringe; we would NEVER do such a thing. A customer that chose to come into our store and chose to buy from us was cherished like treasure. So, I left. I went ahead and shopped online (on the website of the company I work for which sells everything "from A to Z") and found an amazing pair of shoes. In fact, it was the same pair that Famous Footwear had, but for way less. I want to emphasize that I had every intention of purchasing a pair of shoes in that store as I was in dire need. However, given that they didn't feel the need to assist me and wanted me out of the store because they were closing (at 6 PM? What is this, the thirties?), I decided I could wait a couple of days and have them shipped. Sorry you didn't want my business, Famous Footwear. read more

A very friendly and helpful staff offering a wide selection of shoes from a variety of manufacturers. I have difficulty finding shoes with a narrow cut, especially sports-oriented shoes, but I was able to find a "Nike Air" and a pair of "Under Armour Charged Escapes" that fit perfectly. You won't find many bargain prices at Famous Footwear, but what they have is first rate. read more

Don't work here unless you like to be degraded or like the feeling of being scolded 24/7 for uncontrollable issues. This place of employment was a waste of time! General manager Ken makes fun of you and mocks you, highly unprofessional and socially profiles staff and costumers. Hours are very intense and a lot of gossip within management. No team effort at all. And if your a new hire they don't fully train they just "expect you to know". Sonia has complete attitude when it's not going her way. She isn't a very good training manager and causes arguments in front of costumers ken as well. They both like to belittle you. Never in my life have I felt so bullied at a work place... geez not even in school! Talk about unhappy people.... read more

Large shoe store with a great selection of footwear, socks, purses, etc. Really great prices, too. However, I gave the experience a 4 because of a somewhat minor complaint and I don't know if it's a complaint about Yelp or a complaint about Famous Footwear. But, AFTER I purchased the shoes, I checked-in on Yelp as I was leaving. Up came a notice that there is a check-in coupon for 20%. So, I go right back in and ask the manager if I can return the shoes and repurchase them at 20% off. Although I know it's a pain, the manager was very kind about it. However, when I clicked on the check-in coupon of 20% it was actually a 15% check-in discount. Also, while the manager honored the coupon, he said it was an unauthorized coupon and that Famous Footwear blocks coupons on public sites like that. It was just a big mess-up. Pretty sure this was the Assistant Manager by the way she was dressed. So I went in because I wanted to order shoes to be shipped to the local store. Since I had to be at work in that same area. I came in and was greeted fine, I saw a woman standing at the registers so I walked up to her and said "Hello, can you look up a pair of shoes for me? I also wanted to see if I can ship them here to the store?" she said "why do you want them to be shipped here? Why cant they be shipped to your house? What's wrong with your house" I was so shocked by her response and I wanted to leave right then and there but really wanted my shoes. I told her "I am hardly home since I am working so much, I am always in the area so it would be more convenient". She totally ignored me and was looking up my shoe size and color I wanted. Once she was done I told her "have a nice day" (kill with kindness) once again was totally ignored and I knew she heard me because I was right in-front of her near the register. I mean I like Famous Footwear but their management is horrible and she was VERY RUDE can't believe she had the nerve to talk to me the way she did. read more
