Looking at this place you would think they must be better than your average fish and chips. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, the chairs, the layout and even the technology this guys are using is top of the range. I came here because of that first impression and the very friendly staff. But none of those mentioned above will compensate for the terrible food they are making. I mean you would think that after all those decades ( apparently this is a chain of another fish and chips shop that has been around since the 50's) you could put together some kind of a killer recipe. I had the wagyu burger with chip and a drink and my wife had the chicken chips and drink. The wagyu beef burger had this dry feeling and it just smelt awkward like a lot of burnt oil or some kind of grease. Nevertheless extremely unappetising. The chips is nothing special just dry. My wife's chicken burger: the chicken was next to raw with blood still inside.
I could not have had a more terrible experience. The only reason I'm giving this place a two star is because of the counter staff and the very nice lady who held the chips outside. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE CHIPS.
hopefully in the future other yelpers give this place a positive review in the future and most importantly the people running this place realise they have to live up to the promise of something that have kept them alive for all those decades. I certainly saw nothing special. read more
