The IG page instructs customers to DM with booking questions, reference pictures of the style and size tattoo and deposit requirements. I sent a message and got an immediate response which included clarifying questions of what style and size of tattoo, placement and length of session. Once all details were confirmed my appointment was book. Two days before my appointment my tattoo artist Tony sent me a reminder message confirming the address and time. Upon arrival I met with Tony to review the design and we got started on the stencil. My first appointment was 6 hour session. During my session Tony made sure that I was comfortable and stayed hydrated. Once my session was completed Tony made sure I knew how to properly clean the area and future aftercare. Tony has worked on all of my tattoos, completed forearm and additional smaller pieces on the other arm. I have recommended Tony and Sky to my family, friends and co workers and they have all had an incredible experience here.

1/10 -- Would Not Recommend Sky Ink Tattoos in Katy, TX…read more I took my 14-year-old daughter to Sky Ink Tattoos in Katy, Texas, to get an industrial piercing, and unfortunately, the experience was very uncomfortable from start to finish. Before going, I was told through text that the price was $70 for two piercings. When I arrived, I was told it was $70 for one year/two piercings on one ear. I showed the text messages to the piercer and explained the misunderstanding. I was completely willing to pay the price they were asking and told him it was fine. However, he insisted on speaking with the receptionist and called her. While on the phone, the receptionist and piercer began going back and forth, yelling and arguing about the situation. The phone was eventually handed to me, and the receptionist explained that it was originally supposed to be $70 for one ear with two piercings and that the text exchange had simply been a miscommunication. I told her that was fine, thanked her, and handed the phone back. Unfortunately, the arguing continued between the piercer and his wife/receptionist while my daughter and I were there getting her piercing. It was extremely awkward and uncomfortable to have customers sitting there while employees were yelling and arguing with each other. In my opinion, that is not professional and is simply bad for business. Afterward, the piercer acknowledged that there had been a miscommunication and offered a $10 discount, which I appreciated. The money was never the issue for me. My biggest concern was the lack of communication and professionalism. My daughter is only 14, and after getting her piercing, no aftercare instructions were provided to me. I actually had to ask how to properly clean the piercing. I was also left feeling like the piercer was rushing because he had another tattoo client waiting. I understand that mistakes and miscommunications happen, but how you handle those situations matters. I would strongly recommend better communication among staff and, most importantly, not arguing or yelling in front of customers. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend Sky Ink Tattoos. 1/10 for me.
