They carry accessories as well as a great line of shoes to fit the normal sized feet out there. It is just over a year later and I've ordered my fifth or seventh pair of shoes here. Except, this time I discovered my feet had gotten bigger so the usual size I get was a little tight. I went back in and talked with the owner and she had a pair of 11.5 EEEEEE shoes for me to try. They were a much better fit so she ordered me the new bigger size. Who else would do that after a special order? Check this place out if you need shoes. If she doesn't have what you want she will order them for you.

I was there today to find a matching wallet & purse. I took a wallet over to see if it matched. I put the wallet down by the purse, decided to think about it and made one more loop around the store before exiting. I got half way across the parking lot when an employee came hoofing across the parking lot and accused me of stealing the wallet - I told him it was by the matching purse and went back in the store to show him. He didn't apologize, not at all. I was humiliated and will never ever go back. I've shopped local for years to support this store, but I can order on line just as easy, and will.

But I had such a bad experience trying to return some socks at the Ankeny store I was mad enough to leave a review. The check who waited on me,I wish I had thought to get her name, was rude and condescending to me right from the start. When she heard I was making a return she seemed to have it already decided not to accept it. We're talking $20 socks with a receipt and the original pkg. I left the store so disgusted I vowed to cut up my card and do my future shopping elsewhere. Now for the flip side of this. I decided one clerk would not have won this and decided to try a different location. I went to the Merle Hay Mall location and got the pleasant customer experience I'm used to getting at SC. I wish I had got her name also. She was pleasant and efficient and I was in and out in less time than at the Ankeny store and actually got something accomplished. So 5 stars for the Merle Hay store zero stars for Ankeny. I have decided to keep my card and just avoid Ankeny SC. Thanks for letting me vent. I guess I had to give it 1 star but that isn't my opinion
