I've gone back and forth on how to write this review, but I finally think I can handle the task…read more Let me rate it this way first: New students: 2 stars If I were an existing student: 3 stars I purchased ten sessions through Groupon and let me tell you, I was pretty stoked for this. I thought, "what a great way to get into shape!" So as soon as I ordered it, I booked my first session. I came early like a good student. Was greeted and told I needed gloves or a wrap which they have for purchase. It was listed in their site so I wasn't thrown off by this. $10 for the wraps, not a big deal. I asked how to wrap my hands and was told, "ask one of the students, they'll show you". Ok, not necessarily what I wanted to hear being brand new. Hey stranger, can you wrap these for me? No one else will, but nonetheless I did. The students were friendly; ranging in varying degree of skill. I was wrapped up and ready to go. The class: There is no introduction. It's just get to it. You're told what to do and you better do it. There's no lesson on how to do it, you just better catch on. You're partnered up so I asked my partner how they liked it and I was immediately told that this really isn't a spot for beginners because the instructor doesn't go over basics. I was totally bummed. Never was I told how to hold my hands. Never was I told how to properly do anything- I was just told what I was doing wrong. They teacher is a great fighter, but not a great teacher. I thought the facility itself was nice and if I had the experience I'm sure I would enjoy the class. It's a great workout. I definitely was sore, even though I'm sure the wrong body parts were sore. Without having the ability to ask questions in the class, as a new person, I have no interest in going back. It sucks as someone who wanted to learn that I kind of have no chance of learning anything. I think if you have the experience you would more than enjoy your time here. I have a 9 free classes available if anyone wants to use them.

You think your child is being very…read morewell taken care of, then to come pick him up and find the instructor locking your child in a cage with 2 other kids that are well trained to jump your child. Who does that?? How can a professional have kids fighting each other as if they are savage animals in a cage. How can you train kids to bully and beat up on others. You shouldn't have to fear leaving your kids at an establishment where you are paying to take care of your kids. This establishment has traumatized my child to the point were he thanks me for picking him up early if not he would have been dead. My child has epileptic seizures.

My 1st experience was walking in (not being greeted), seeing a man with a mouthful of a burger answering my question (since I wasn't even acknowledged). He was not friendly, didn't introduce himself despite finding out he was my son's coach. Didn't seem happy to be there at all (prior to and during my son's class). Looked miserable, didn't demonstrate anything to the kids. He also never introduced himself to my son when the class started. After telling someone who worked there, my experience- she didn't seem to care at all- did nothing. Very disappointed, I was hopeful this gym had so much potential.... It's all in the people who run them which will allow them to survive or not. I'd suggest anyone go to any other gym and have a far better experience.

I come in to pick him up when his mother and I have something planned, and the staff is always very welcoming. I don't think it's just that they're happy to see the kid go home, but maybe. He can be a handful. But mostly, I think it's just that they really enjoy taking care of the kids. The place is always clean, and they teach the children well. He's learning to share (he's an only child so he doesn't get that at home), as well as social skills. He already knew how to read, but they encourage his reading and they keep him active, which he needs. He'll continue to go here for a few more years. It's helpful for his parents to know he's in a safe place while they're at work.

There is a front room with tables and chairs and then the back room for the painting. The area is taped off and the kids just start doing their best Jackson Pollock impersonations. The teachers keep the fun going by constantly squirting more paint on the walls, floor and tables. Once the kids felt comfortable, the teachers squirted the kids arms and the kids get really messy. They also have groovy music playing and the lights go out and the neon glow appears. The teachers were very friendly and accommodating. When they are finished the kids get hosed off in a tub and wiped down. A change of clothes highly recommended. We will have to come back for some classes to see what else they have to offer.

I've been through three other schools previously who nickeled and dimed me every time I walked in or so that's how it felt. Other schools also did not foster a sense of team and belonging. Level Up offers a quality traditional Korean taekwondo program and a true sense of camaraderie amongst parents, students and siblings, making it a true family sport. They also offer more a more specialized poomsae program than most other schools. We parents spend countless hours at the studio. All of these details have been well though out. The studio has wireless so you can get some work done. They also have a coffee and tea bar and a sibling area stocked with toys, books and computers. It's an amazing customer service experience and immaculately clean. We won't train anywhere else!!
