I love to find board books for my toddler and they put them inside, right in the middle of the page and several books have been destroyed because of them. I would just leave the sticker on if they would put the sticker on the back of the book, on the outside... Even when I successfully get a sticker off without damaging the book the stickers they use are very tacky and leave a large amount of residue behind. Something has got to give here, I would go with better sticker placement. Or like other thrift stores mark the book with a crayon on a slick surface and it'll wipe off later. Otherwise this is the best thrift store I have ever been to... a few years ago I wouldn't go in it. It was dirty, smelly and everything looked like it was plucked from the dump. I've been shopping here since high school (not this location). While a scent allergy keeps me from wearing a lot of the amazing scents offered, when I do find a fragrance that I adore, I stick with it. My current favorite fragrance is Champagne Toast. My current favorite candle is Sweater Weather. On this trip, I bought the room sprays as stocking stuffers for several coworkers. I pulled into the "curbside pickup" space around 12:30 p.m. I waited for 5 or so minutes. I thought that was sufficient for someone to notice I was there. So, I honked my horn once thinking perhaps they'd hear it. I waited again. I honked the horn one time again when I saw someone dusting a shelf through the window. I waited again. No response. At this point, I probably should have gotten out and walked in. I tried honking one more time. Needless to say, no one came out at any point. By now 10-15 minutes had passed. I walked up to the counter and said nothing about waiting outside. I was asked what I was there for. I said I had an ornament to pick up. "Did someone call you and tell you it was ready?" "No. I received an email." "An email? We don't email people." I just looked at the employee; what was I supposed to say? "How did you order? Did you order online?' "Yes, I ordered online." Then, I received a short lecture about all the ways you can order and why she didn't know that and that I received an email. She then went to look for the ornament. She came back out with it after 2-3 minutes and handed it to me. I walked out. My point is this: If you're going to have curbside service, then you need to watch/listen for cars. And don't lecture the customer when you are the one at fault.

But the fact that she had to tell me how to even get the fabric cut and paid for should tell you how blind I was going in. After navigating my way through painted quotes, giant fake flowers, and light up fixtures of things you see at the top of the number keys on your computer, I found my way to the fabric section. Well things only got uglier from there. They have everything from plain white satin, to spider-man fleece! I took about 15 seconds of walking through and decided to seek some help. A very friendly lady was helping cut some fabric and asked if I needed help. Even during the middle of her project, she noticed a puzzled (and might I say handsome) man standing in the middle of Fabric-opolis. Once she was done and able to help, she was not quite sure what exactly I needed. I learned she was normally in the floral department and someone else was the "section expert". We started discussing the bounty I was seeking and a by-standing customer laughed that simply looking for this ONE item, was not as simple as it sounded. On our way to where she thought this might be, we came across the true guardian of textile goods. She was more than happy to show us both where the drapery liner was. You could tell both of these ladies were friendly, funny, and happy to help however they could. This is now the third unpleasant interaction I've had here, and I feel compelled to finally leave a review. My cashier, Treann, was quite rude throughout the entire transaction. She didn't return my greeting, ignored my attempts at small talk, and frowned at me the entire time. What bothered me most was how she handled the display box for a set of surprise ball toys I was purchasing for my niece. The toys weren't individually priced, and the display itself had the price listed. Since I intended to buy all the toys anyway, I took the display box with them. Treann went out of her way to ring the display box up as a separate item. I asked if I could keep it, and the manager said yes, explaining that they would have thrown it away anyway. Despite that, I was still charged for it. The whole interaction was just strange and unnecessary. I understand that everyone has bad days, and I usually don't take these things personally. However, this is not the first time I've felt like an inconvenience at this location because of an employee's attitude. Customer service doesn't require anyone to go above and beyond, but basic courtesy, a returned greeting, or even a simple smile goes a long way. We're all going through things that other people know nothing about, and kindness costs nothing. I genuinely enjoy shopping at Hobby Lobby, which makes these experiences all the more disappointing. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and invests in customer service training. Employees who are naturally more comfortable interacting with customers should be placed in customer-facing roles. I simply expect to be treated with the same basic respect and kindness I extend to others. We're all fighting invisible battles. Be kind.
