During the wellness visit, the provider briefly reviewed outside lab results I had brought with me, and I was later billed for a separate office visit associated with that discussion. I was not informed during the appointment that this could result in an additional charge. After reviewing my visit documentation, I also felt portions of the note did not fully reflect my understanding of the visit, particularly regarding the extent of evaluation performed beyond the wellness exam. After raising concerns and providing supporting documentation, the office acknowledged overlap between the preventive visit and additional billing and indicated the matter would be reviewed. However, I did not receive a final follow-up or resolution regarding the coding review or reimbursement request. I would encourage the practice to improve communication around preventive visit billing and provide more consistent follow-up during billing disputes.

I feel that the concierge practice model has provided care far exceeding what my old local medical practice had become after losing a few key physicians through retirement. I'm not sure if they are accepting new patients, but if Lifetime Internal Medicine is, I highly advise trying this 'small' team concierge solution as a return to times when medicine was practiced by Doctors instead of Doctors applying a one-size-fits-all template strategy for the codified roll-out of big-med:-)

Again, I have no complaints about the doctors or the actual care, but the attitude of the person answering the phones makes a huge difference in how patients perceive the office. Appointments now consist of basic questions and exams that barely touch the service of issues. My last physical didn't even include a hernia exam, and I'm a 39 year old male with a history of hernias. The nurse practitioners they have on staff are under-qualified at best. The front desk staff are rude, and the intake nurses are also unprofessional. This practice has lost any idea of what customer service means and seems to now be an appointment mill that bills your insurance for telling you to buy some Motrin and get some bed rest. Today was the last straw for us. My wife recently gave birth naturally and our OBGYN recommended we see our PCP for a referral for physical therapy for a month from now to help get her back on her feet and speed her recovery. We called and scheduled an appointment for this specific purpose with the front desk who confirmed that they could give a referral for PT. After waiting for an hour, my wife was seen by a family nurse practitioner that took her temperature and blood pressure, checked her height and weight, eyes and ears, and listened to her breathing. Then, without any examination of her pelvic floor muscles, said that PT 'wasn't indicated' at this time and we should come back for another appointment after our 6 week checkup with our OBGYN for ANOTHER appointment. She explained that we had been sent by the OBGYN to get a referral but the FNP refused to issue the referral and sent her packing. I went in to address this with the front desk and they gave me the run-around, then brought out a 'provider' who first said she had seen my wife but after having me explain the whole situation told me she was just the intake nurse, then asked me to re-explain the situation, then laughed when I said I didn't want to explain myself again and wanted to talk to the actual nurse that had seen my wife. All in all it was a nice hour and fifteen minutes absolutely wasted by the front desk and clinical staff because of their inability to listen and/or be upfront about what services they are willing and able to provide. To LSFP - if you can not or will not offer a service then perhaps your front desk staff shouldn't confirm the appointment for it. Your practice used to be great, and now it is a terrible place to go for care and competent customer service. I've had better customer service at McDonald's. Your front desk staff especially leaves a lot to be desired in the professionalism department. 25 years as a patient and I have never been treated the way I was treated today. We won't be back. Get it together.

After they put my information into their systems, I immediately begin to receive text messages that send you secure links for paperwork and status updates on your visit to the clinic. The receptionist patiently walked me through everything (which took only a few minutes) and scheduled a visit for me. Here is where it gets better...We live lives that are filled with so much sensory overload that we tend to forget things that are important to us (maybe you don't...but I would forget my head if it wasn't attached to me.) Mosaic Theory MD's automated SMS system sends you text messages with information like schedule, who you need to call if you have questions, where you need to go INCLUDING where to park, virtual office check-in so you have limited contact with anyone who could be infected AND test results once your test is completed. Just Beautiful. Am I right? Meanwhile...your other primary care specialist who claims they have the latest and greatest technology is still sending you one email at random that may hit your spam folder and if you have questions you can just go in circles with an automated operator until they hang up on you. First, walking into the office the receptionist was very friendly and helpful with filling out the additional paperwork they need that is not on their website. After completing that I waited a few minutes then Dr. Johnson took me back to an exam room where she asked me some additional questions about my initial accident and the issues I have had since then along with any information from my ortho that would be beneficial for treatment. From there she brought me out into the therapy room and did a few test for range of motion, did a nice shoulder massage, some exercises, then ice before concluding our appointment. She also gave me a print out of the exercises for me to do at home until my next appointment. Walking into my first PT appointment i was a little nervous seeing everyone out doing their treatments together since i tend to be a little on the shy side and have social anxiety however, Dr. Johnson kept talking to me and all the other PT's are talking with each other so it is easy to join in the conversation especially with the other patients whom were all friendly as well. This will be my home twice a week for the next 3 to 6 weeks depending if I need surgery or not then maybe a little while longer. I highly recommend not only Dr. Johnson but the other PT's at the Fairfax location as well. I did not see one with a bad attitude or seem like they are just there to collect a paycheck. I was in labor 17 hours and only dilated to 1cm. When I went in to see my doctor at 6 weeks pregnant they told me I would need another c section. That's when I decided to go to Centreville OBGYN. From the minute I met Chloe I felt safe. She was honest, open, answered my questions and calmed my fears. When I started to question having a vbac, she talked me through those concerns. Never once did I feel pressured or alone. She loves her vbac mommas and it shows. My vbac was such a calm and beautiful experience. It was amazing to have Chloe's support and guidance. I fully trusted her and it allowed me to relax and allow my body to progress naturally. After my vbac, I suffered from severe postpartum migraines. Chloe was there to help support me, research treatments, and even called my neurologist to push to have me seen sooner. She went above and beyond to ensure I was healthy. I am so thankful that I met Chloe and there is no one else I would want to have been by my side.
