Then came Stephon, we talked business first, took my info down and gave me the receipt with an assurance he was going to pinpoint the problem to my cassette deck and fix it. Then he gave me his philosophical ideas about how we listen to music, and how a lot of it has been made wrong , then proceeded to hand me a mixtape cd, all bangers by the way. There was a bit of a wait to get a call back about my cassette deck repairs, like a solid 2 weeks if not a bit more couple days passed. At first I was bit concerned but I remained to stay positive and trusted the process Anyways it's been a couple weeks I got my Nakamichi back and it works great and I couldn't be more happier. Check-in process was efficient with names on a tablet and a list on a sheet. There are a few bars set up inside because I was wandering around with three wooden drink chips. It was like walking through memory lane while in search of these keys. It was one of the games for attendees to turn in for schwag. In the back room there is a half court basketball station set up for a bit of shooting around. All while we were waiting for a customized baseball cap. You can select any of the patches on the cap that they offered. Plenty of people playing different hotel roles like a few maids, bellboys, front desk clerks. It was fun and Jack Daniels promoted with suggestions to take an Uber home for the night with $10 coupons. Drink responsibly and designate a driver.

He'll get on your ass if you disrespect the place like leave garbage in the lobby or break the rules, but he looks out for everyone and has always been reasonable. The spot is great to store your gear, have meetings, rehearse your music, record and produce music during quite hours, and make connections. It gets hot in the summer, but the rooms have AC. Overall this place is a gem. It has allowed me to grow my music, my business and my brand.

The engineer was also really generous and showed me the A Room and explained to me things like Dolby Atmos, the analog console and a lot of the amazing gear. Can't recommend this place enough. I am not certain what suddenly changed - perhaps the ownership was transfered and/or bought out, or maybe their next-of-kin inherited the business - but regardless of the reasons, I CAN tell you with certainty by this point in time is that this is no longer the Pro Audio LA which we audio professionals so fondly remember, most sadly to say. Because all of its communications and ordering processes have just about broken down within the past months, even as it continues to accept your online orders and take your money! For the record: I have $300-worth of audio interconnect cables ordered from this past springtime of 2026, and it is now mid-July as of the time of my writing of this review, yet STILL I have heard nothing further of my order. Even after multiple communication attempts. Nothing but dead silence on the other end, even though ... again ... the online order form remains open, functional, and happily charges your credit card without batting an eyelash. Clearly, something has gone terribly, heinously amiss while SOMEONE on the other end continues to take your money. And that's just about where the paper trail ends, because your online order stays in perpetual "processing" with nothing further done. That's where it sits, even as of today. So, please, heed my warning and do NOT give Pro Audio LA a single cent of your business from this point, onward. At least not until some kind of definitive light is shed on whatever has transpired within the establishment, regarding its suddenly-tanking business model.
