The drinks were good, great beer selection, incredible food. I had their famous ribs and was not disappointed. They fall off the bone. Everything we ordered was served hot and fresh. The locals were also friendly and fun. We returned the next day for some tasty bloody marys and met Pat's delightful granddaughter who was tending bar. The area, including the building in which 5 Corners is located, has a lot of interesting history. The owners take pride in this location and it shows. Also, clean bathrooms - always a bonus. If we're ever back in the area you can bet we'll be stopping at Kim's 5 Corners.

I don't know what was going on with the person running the deep fryers, but all we ordered was breaded, mushrooms, mini tacos and mini corn dogs not once did I see anything from the deep fryer coming out, the girl running the grill was kicking out stuff. So why could they not make our food? Because nothing was coming out of the deep fryer. I don't know so we after Most 3 hours said, can we just cash out and cancel our order? And she's like, I'm sorry, but we got a party upstairs and they're ordering from downstairs.Well, why didn't you tell us it was going to be a 3 ficking hours? To Wait for food that's unfucking acceptable.Id would never go back there again, ever.Even the guy next to me he's like, I'm coming here so long. He's like it's never taken this long to order food.Because you don't have a party upstairs of thirty people and have them order food.

Sometimes they have a golden bloody Mary, which is made with yellow tomatoes this also very tasty. A bonus is that you can choose any beer on tap for your chaser. Get the burger and truffle fries. The Horse and Plow is a great spot if you have a group or family where noise is not a bug but a feature. We came here on our second evening around 7:00 for dinner. Food: The menu has a good selection of beverages and pub-style food. There is an extensive list of whiskeys, including bourbon and rye, lots of beers, and some specialty cocktails. We settled on a draft beer and the Plum Crazy cocktail, which was super yummy. For food, they offer appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, and a fish fry. There is even a Wagyu flat iron steak if you are interested in paying $75. We decided on the Double Butter Smashburger with truffle fries and the Walleye Fish Fry. The burger was good, although it could have been cooked a bit more to create more caramelized edges. The bun was good, but a bit too much bread for me, so I ate it open-faced. The truffle fries were delicious and could have been a meal in themselves. The walleye was battered and breaded with good texture, and the fish was flaky. I felt it was a bit overcooked, and the last several bites were very tough. Service: We did not have a reservation, and there were no tables available when we arrived. We took a spot at the bar, where the bartender got us an order of drinks. The service, both at the bar and at the table, was efficient but not especially friendly or outgoing. The food came out nice and hot, waters were kept full, and the check arrived promptly after the meal was finished. For those looking for a pub experience, this is a good spot. However, being at the American Club, I think I was looking for more of an elevated experience. This felt more like a place for a quick meal than somewhere I would feel compelled to return to. Atmosphere: It is a pub, and that is exactly what you get. It was very noisy at times, especially as larger groups were enjoying themselves.

We arrived about 10 minutes early, checked in with the hostess, and were told that due to the volume of reservations they were seating strictly on schedule, so we were asked to wait at the bar. Fair enough. When I made the reservation, I had noted that they were offering a "make your own mimosa bar," which sounded like a nice touch for Mother's Day. My mom and I planned to participate, so I asked whether we could get a mimosa from the station while we waited and either pay for it immediately or add it to our final bill. We were told no -- that we had to wait until we were seated. That seemed unnecessarily rigid given that we were already checked in and simply waiting for our table. The mimosa bar itself was also underwhelming. The champagne was pre-poured into plastic flutes and sitting out getting warm, while the juice options (orange, pomegranate, and "strawberry shortcake?") were also sitting out and not kept on ice. Overall, it did not feel particularly fresh or elevated. One of the specials was the "pendulum pancake." While the presentation is certainly novel -- the pancakes arrive hanging from a stake, swinging above the plate -- the actual dish was disappointing. The pancakes were quite small, with sliced banana layered between them, and overall the presentation looked sparse and a little tragic rather than indulgent or impressive. The rest of the food we ordered was fine. I had the standard breakfast, my husband ordered the chicken sandwich, and my dad had the burger. Ironically, the real standout of the meal was the fries. They also had a DJ playing during brunch. I understand the atmosphere they were trying to create, but that aspect also fell a bit flat. There is a lot of potential for this to become a more curated and unique occasion-style brunch experience, but the execution currently does not fully support the concept.
