A real treasure hides down the hill behind the playground: access to the Ledges and the Ledges Trail. It's amazing to see the giant sandstone outcroppings and to wind in and around. Part of the trail follows right along the river on one side and the ledges on the other, giving a good view of the variety of animals, including birds, turtles, and more. Only a few baskets had mandos, which was pleasant - I hate to be told to go through a specific tree gap. Parking was more a suggestions, as folks parked every which way near and around tee #1 (also, there's a single porta-potty, thank you for that) and there aren't facilities whatsoever around the park. Despite all this, I thoroughly enjoyed my time on this course and would come back next time I'm in the area. Slight hills, check. Gorgeous greenway, check. Trees and bushes as occasional obstacles? Check. Blooming purple flowers to distract a child? Check. Water view? Check. Slight threat of losing your disc to nature? Check. Disc charging stations scratched into picnic tables? Lol, check.

I love the concrete tee boxes. I agree that you should get there during the early mornings on the weekends. The nicer the weather, the more crowded it gets and this park/course is not by any means a "hidden jewel" it gets overly crowded during peak hours.
