But it's a huge (27.92 acres) oasis on the northeast side of GR. I'm always amazed at how big the park is when I visit. The lawns are kept up nicely and there is a group of neighbors who pick up trash in the park to keep it nice for visitors and residents. The park has lots of amenities, including picnic tables (recently repainted during a community beautifying project), splash pad, playground, parking lot, grills, and a beautiful garden with native pollinators. The grounds of the park are really nice to walk around and I saw lots of people walking their dogs. I would like to bring a picnic here in the summer as there's plenty of space to spread out as well as picnic tables available. The park is super kid friendly especially with the splash pad (although I would not be opposed to using it myself during the hot summer months). I am so happy to have such a wonderful park right in my own neighborhood and I encourage everyone to check it out, or at least find the park closest to you!

They have a small snack bar for drinks and ice cream which is nice. The thing I love is the Frisbee golf course. I love walking at Millennium Park. I have been exercising here for many years. There are miles and…read moremiles of paths to explore. I enjoy mixing up my different routes to go different distances. There are several small lakes, one of which has a beach and other activities such as paddle boats. There are two different entrances to the park, which helps spread visitors out on really busy days like weekends. On the Secchia Meadows side, there is a nice pavillon where my friends had their wedding. I highly recommend Millennium Park for anyone who enjoys spending time outdoors, spotting creatures such as deer, turtles, muskrats, eagles, and more.

These people checking me in and telling me safety information are incredibly young! Will they be able to save me and my family if our kayaks flip over and we fall into the lake? Wow! What a beautiful day! But I wonder how often people fall into the lake. I also wonder how deep the lake is. I also wonder if it's possible to be trapped underwater if your kayak flips over. In the end, I decided to kick it on the sandy beach and wave at my family as they happily paddled on the lake. They had a great time kayaking. I had a great time not kayaking. Like Hot Chocolate says: Everyone's a winner, baby. Kayaks are either single-person or double, and we used one of each. There are very few instructions given, which was a little alarming to me. (You mean you just assume we know what we're doing?!) But fortunately, my family knew what they were doing, so they didn't need much instruction to get themselves out on the water. As you paddle around the lake, you pass the Millennium Park beach and splash pad, plus little islands here and there. There is about four miles of shoreline to explore. I was told that the lake was nice and calm, and that it was a pleasant time on the water. We rented kayaks, but Millennium Park Boat Rentals also offers canoes, paddle boats and stand-up paddle boards to rent. Keep in mind that rentals are seasonal -- this place is only open from Memorial Day-ish to Labor Day-ish.

It just has everything. ⁣ ⁣ Tons of shade on the play equipment, swings, a basketball court, splash pad, and a big open area to walk around, play and even just to sit on the benches and enjoy the sounds and sights of our beautiful earth. ⁣ ⁣ It's a great spot for kids (or adults, we won't judge ) to run and even kick a ball around! Here's why you should visit: 1) Space: It's a large park with lots of green space, a playground, a community center, courts and a mural. There are restrooms and working drinking fountains,. 2) Amenities: My toddler loved the playground. There are two parts to it and a merry-go-round and swings. 3) Art: The mural depicts Michigan's wildlife adding color to the space and entertainment for kids. 4) Cleanliness: I find the park clean. On a Saturday morning, we saw staff diligently pick up trash and empty the cans.

It's kept clean and has public restrooms at the pavilion (which is often booked for outdoor birthday parties). The pond is an odd blue color, which is concerning. Other than that, it's a good park.

They need more grills. There's no enforcement if you rent the pavilion and other people are just…read morerandomly there. They also don't allow alcohol. How can you have a picnic without alcohol? This is America, we want to relax with a burger and a beer and this hurts no one. Absolutely ridiculous.
