I knew the street but not the address so I found the street, it was Acushnet Ave. in New Bedford. I stopped in a store which was Fall River Pawn Brokers on Acushnet Ave. There was a gentleman and a women working there and the man charged my phone for a minute (at this point I was running late) and it was long enough for me to get the address off of my phone. I think his name was Jim, I didn't get hers but they are both very professional, friendly, and helped me out fast while also serving a customer in the store. Absolutely two of the best people that I ever meet. Btw my appointment went great and would have been a disaster without them. When you leave your house you never know what will happen and this is one day that I'll never forget. However one day I was a little early for one of my graduate classes at Salve Regina University and the satellite campus used to be around the corner. I went in there and to my surprise all of the staff were professional and extremely helpful! On top of that they weren't annoying and hounding you- they provide you with that perfect balance of help without annoying you! They also have SOMETHING for EVERYONE whether it's a video game system or just video games, iPad's,Louis Vuitton handbags, Guitars/Musical Instruments, Pinball/Pacman Machines, Tiffany & Co. Jewlery, & Movado Watches. Many are high end and would cost thousand if purchase at the retailer and here you only pay a few hundred. They also have check cashing and will cash payroll checks. They provide individuals with loans and will accept 'things' for pawn or to purchase. They will purchase gold or silver as well. People usually associate Pawn Shops with people who have no money but this place is quite the opposite! They are professional, helpful and courteous! STEER CLEAR!!! NOT A REPUTABLE MERCHANT!!!…read more I went in thinking I was buying a Microsoft Surface 2 tablet. What I received was a Best Buy Unbranded tablet. Emailed them regarding the situation and heard nothing for two weeks. I called and was told to send back the item. The return shipping was $22. Another two weeks go by and I do not see any return to my account even though the package was retuned and signed for 2 days after I shipped it back. I call and speak to Mark who says he'll "have to get back to me about this." He calls back and says he's done the return. The return shows up without the return shipping cost. I call back regarding the return shipping to which he again says he'll "have to get back to me. This time I have to call him back to which he replies, 'Sorry I lost your phone number and you're going to have to eat that return shipping. Mistakes happen." So six weeks later I have been swindled, ignored, made to just through hoops, and charged $22 for it all.

There was at least 5-8 inches of water in the store and merchandise in the back was damaged a pair of vintage JBL studio monitors i had was damaged JAY the regional manager was their the day i redeemed the speakers and saw the damage. He admitted they had a flood and did not notify customers. he offered me $100 for something that was cost me $450 to replace. One sales rep told me they were giving customers back TV's that came in for pawn in a box the TV back with no box(because it was soaked from the flood. He was laughing at the fact no customer said anything and he said we got away with it. And laughed again. This is i am sure illegal but also shows what kind of pawn shop FALL RIVER PAWN IS .....STAY AWAY.
