Classic American offerings with enough variety to keep things interesting--I've been a few times now and keep coming back. That said, it definitely shines when you're dining in. The food is best enjoyed hot and fresh; delivery didn't hit quite the same. The staff has a laidback, friendly vibe. Service can range from just right to a little slow depending on how busy or staffed they are, but nothing that ruins the experience. Where this place really stands out is the ambiance--beautiful elevated views overlooking the golf course range, and a really nice shaded open-air patio that makes it easy to relax and stay awhile. My husband and I enjoyed our lunch at the neighborhood golf course's kitchen. I got the tri-tip sandwich with fries and my husband was in the mood for a cheeseburger with onion rings. De. Li. Cious. The tri-tip was tender and flavorful. It came with a garlic aioli that accompanied it well. I've always had a good experience at the fairways. The view is incredible and they often have live music.

It took awhile for our food to arrive, but we had the sweetest waitress, and the Band was Rockin Out!!!! The food and drinks were all exceptionally tasty and satisfying! Nicely presented too! I have to say HALLELUJAH to any restaurant and bar that makes their chicken tenders FRESH, I mean Real Chicken Breast, the right amount of seasoning and breading, then serve hot from the fryer. Now, how many of you burger eaters out there have had your burgers serve to you that have a golf club name insignia Branded on your bun! Probably not many of you, but it certainly is impressive!!!! I originally rated this place a 5 star and with the change of management and bad customer service it is now a 1 star. The location still the same and the food is good however I had left several messages to plan a birthday and the new manager for events lied to her manager that she tried calling me back and leaving messages when it wasn't true. No calls no voicemails. This shows the lack of integrity. I had to call many times and finally told one of the employees to personally give her the note to return my call. When we spoke she was rude and seemed bothered by questions of planning. I've been a customer for 2 years now and I like the golf course but I won't probably be back unless management goes back to good customer service. read more

Ordered to go of the daily special - Philly cheesesteak. Serving was huge and piping hot even 10-15 minutes after got home with it. Daily special was sandwich, fries and draft beer. There was patio seating overlooking the golf course, but it was a breezy and chilly day so we opted to take it to our friends home a few minutes walk down the road. I am very impressed! I have lived in the neighborhood for a couple years and I cannot believe I have waited so long to visit this establishment. All my neighbors have always raved about certain things on the menu, so finally, I just had to try it for myself while I had family visit and I just didn't feel like cooking. At first glance, The inside of the establishment looks rather small. It does have plenty of seating and all the tables are quickly cleaned ready for the next patron (I have never seen a table sit dirty for more than 5 minutes after people leave)... however, I am a little claustrophobic so I prefer an outdoor (more opened) seat but the outdoor seating gets taken quickly and is usually occupied every time I visit. The staff has great customer service. I was skeptical during my first visit because, well the young man who I saw was the cook for that day was really young and let's just say young= not so experienced OR fresh out of culinary school but I can't judge.... ( have you seen those Hell's Kitchen episodes!?). Lo and behold the burgers everyone has raved about came out and I wished I had a camera to capture how it was presented! (Although, I would have gotten seen as one of those who post their food pics on FB lol!!) however, for the purpose of this review I should have gotten a picture of it. It had a grilled stamped "A" (for Arrowood Gulf Course) and the meat... they use high-quality ingredients from the meat down to the veggies! Everything ordered that day was superb! The burger was well seasoned and cooked to my preference. Amazing flavor! Big shout out to the cook! ‍ His culinary skills are on point! I came back a week later because the family wanted to try other things on the menu. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich, a pizza for the kids, onion rings and a salad. Again, everything was made to order using fresh ingredients. I am pleasantly surprised that their food isn't premade like most places... everything is always cooked fresh. I will continue to patron this establishment in the future and also recommend to friends. I forgot to mention, their menu changes a couple times a year, so keep that in mind when you visit. =) read more

They are way too overpriced, I paid $60 for the pizza and six pack (which is advertised as $25) and an order of nachos. They no longer have those deals and they don't share this info over the phone when you are ordering, they just wait for you to show up to pay and you realize on your own that you are paying $30 for a six pack. The guy was very rude and careless, he didn't even offer to honor the price since it is advertised on their website. Very disappointed with their costumer service. read more

Fantastic!!! They recently renovated and made Fairway's a full service restaurant. It's beautiful inside and the food is fantastic. They are serving dinner every Friday for now and occasionally they have special events like wine pairing dinners. The chef has an extensive background and the flavors are wonderful. We have been many times already and the menu varies week by week but some of my favorites are the sea bass or halibut and the braised short ribs. Included with the renovation is a new bar where you can get your favorite drink. It's not just for golfers...it's for anyone looking for a well prepared and delicious meal. It's a wonderful option for Oceansiders as really good restaurants are few and far in between in North Oceanside. I highly recommend it. read more

Im assuming poor mgmt here as staff missed the mark on multiple occasions. Due to covid, there is no walkup drink service- understandable. But also no reason to be rude when trying to get a drink while waiting over 30 minutes with no offer to take a drink order. Finally upon seating the service continued to be lackluster and slow while a burger ordered was delivered undercooked medium rare. When notifying the server, we were told we'll see what the manager says. Was never given another option or a more cooked burger. Nothing happened. Took forever again to get bill, a box for the leftover pizza (good size pizza is only reason for 2 stars). Wont be back soon read more

I started my visit with a phone call. The young woman that took my call was friendy, helpful, and inviting. When I arrived the service was the same. The pizza buffett was a reasonable price at $10.00 a person. I ordered a Jack and Coke that doubled my bill. I was shocked by this, as at the American Leagion I'm used to paying half that for Jack and Coke. I won't make that mistake again. At first it was scantilly stocked with only a cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza and a large bowl of lettuce and croutons that I guessed was the salad. When I went for seconds the pizza bar was in much better condition. There was a larger varity of pizza. This time there must have been a half dozen pizza choices. Amongst them were a Hawaiian, a jalepino, a sasage, a supreme, a vegetarian and the afore mentioned cheese and pepperoni pizzas. While I was wrestling to get the sasage pizza on my plate a nice young man that was stocking the pizza bar told me to take the whole thing. I told him that as I got older I couldn't eat as much as when I was was younger I told him when I was his age I could eat the whole thing and said I bet you can too. He laughed and admitted he could eat a couple of them. The pizzas were Ok for pizza bar faire. Favorite was the Hawaiian. In hindsight, I wish I would have placed a slice of the jalepino pizza on top the Hawaiian. I've been avoiding jalepinos as I've aged. I wish the pizzas were hotter. The pepperoni pizza on my first serving was hot. By the time I went for seconds the pizzas at the pizza bar had cooled off. The patio was large and nicely decorated. It had several portable heaters. 2 we're lit and I didn't have foresight to sit by one. By now you may be wondering why 4 stars instead of 3. Let me tell you. I appreciated the fact that they hired good bands as entertainment. So much so that I drove 2 hours in bumper to bumper traffic that was a one hour frive in light traffic to hear the band. I won't make the drive just to eat there but I will visit again to hear music and possibly try other menu items. But I won't make the mistake of ordering Jack and Coke. I value my money more than that. read more

The food was fantastic! The burgers were seasoned perfectly. In fact, it was one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. The garlic fries were spectacular, too. I also want to bring attention to the outstanding customer service, especially from James Starnes. He went above and beyond to create a pleasant dining experience. Grill is currently under going renovation so you have to walk around the building to order at the window but service was fast and pleasant and the pizzas were perfect. Also found out that the stone oven has been removed due to issues with so they no longer will have stone fired pizza. read more
