Their store design is great, well layed out, and they use very modern equipment for eye measururing etc.. He took a good amount of time to show me, step by step, the process of wearing contacts (starting with videos on wide screen monitor and then 1:1 personal training). To top it off, I paid a very reasonable, competitive market price for the brand and quality of contact lenses I purchased. Finally, he aligned my pair of glasses , and even replaced the nose pads with some very comfortable silion ones -- at no extra charge (yes, I did ask to pay for them). I did not even buy the pair of glasses from him, and the extra generosity is appreciated!

More disappointing than the mundane atmosphere and dispassionate employees is the product that they lure you in to buy. I returned the progressive glasses 3 times because I just couldn't see straight through them. I could see out of each eye individually but when I open both eyes it was blurry. The focal points just didn't line up together. In the end, they refused a refund while proclaiming there were no issues with the glasses. I've had many pair of glasses from other retailers and never had an issue. To this day I have not been able to use the glasses and since my benefits are now depleted, I am stuck with my old outdated pair with an outdated prescription, which I will have to endure for another two years.... Thanks Hakim Waterloo On. By the way, your store is one of the most dilapidated retail buildings in the city. Maybe it's time to throw in the towel......

I got a round plastic Salt frame with Nikon lenses, which I get a lot of compliments on. Prices were better than what I used to pay in high end Toronto stores. Also was cheaper than a couple places near them. The people helping me (a lady helped me pick out the frames, a man fitted them on my head when I went to pick up) were very friendly and honest. I appreciated that the lady told me when something didn't look good at all, since most places only say "that looks good, that looks good, that looks good". I literally joined Yelp because I was so impressed by their excellent service. Definitely will be back for my future purchases!

Staff here were honest about what works and what doesn't and made excellent suggestions. I would recommend anyone come here or the other place for glasses. They have a wide range of glasses at different price points, so I think anyone could find the perfect glasses to fit their budget.

I was booked an appointment and charged $90.00 to find out this is not the exam I needed, at all. I attempted to contact you and get a refund as I was misled and misinformed. I called and explained the situation how a mistake had clearly been made and was completely disrespected. The owner proceeded to tell me how everyone calls and complains and how this isn't his problem. He even made a comment about how people like me make it hard for working people like himself...I needed this license for a job. I need the money to pay for the proper exam that I already have gone and paid for and obtained since. It was so so disappointing and disrespectful. I explained how specific I was about my request and he argued with no resolve or interest in what had happened. I will never come here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone as they'll take your money with no regard to why you need their services in the first place.

The woman who took my appointment on the phone was polite, professional and cheerful. I booked an appt. The store is clean and well-laid out with a big selection of frames in cabinets, none of which could I see a price on. Right there would've been enough to make me walk out if I'd been window shopping, but, I had an optometrist appointment. I asked for three prescriptions based on his examination and experience. I needed either a bifocal or progressive. That had to be discussed. I needed a reading set and I also needed a prescription magnifying set because I'm a jeweller. He wrote me only one prescription and told me that my other needs could be extrapolated from that. I asked, in advance, for three prescriptions. He refused and offered me only the bifocal prescription. There was no pupillary distance on it. I told him I don't have big bucks for their glasses and that I'd have to shop on line. He told me he was going to give my prescription to one of the clerks on the floor. Again..... apparently I have to buy the glasses in their store. He wouldn't even put it in my hand. I walked out. Then I called back to tell them to mail the prescription to me. They won't. Crooks. This "policy" and activity is a huge rip off. Stay away from these crooks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Addendum: I was contacted after this very public complaint, by the store. As I'd said originally, praise is as important as correction. The store is going to comply, gladly and helpfully with my problem experience. I will get the paperwork I require and a look at some products that will work with the budget. I will return tomorrow and follow up again. This phone call flips my entire bad review on it's sorry butt. I look forward to getting the service I'd hoped for. I'm grateful and proud for them for this endeavour.
