Never gave concussion evaluation (which I had one and was diagnosed in Fairview) Despicable, stigmatic behavior from a medical doctor at a hospital, that houses a medical detox, in a town, full of addicts and alcoholics, at a time in the world where you can't throw a stone and not hit someone that has never been personally affected by addiction in some way. And then to not even offer an apology, let alone anything else, like a freaking response to my complaint, makes me sick.

I woke up Monday a week ago with some red patches on my left arm. No itching, no burning, no scabs…read more I waited until Thursday to see if the patches would fade, and since they didn't, I called around to find a doctor. My regular care providers were booked up until the end of time, so when one of the NPs at one office suggested that I go to Urgent Care, I made an on-line appointment at Cooley-Dickinson hospital and was booked into a 5PM appointment that same day. I attended the appointment, had to wait only a few minutes to be seen, an attendant came to measure my vital signs (heart still beating, lungs still breathing, etc.) and the attending NP came in, looked at the arm and said "tinea", sent a prescription to my pharmacist, and I was on my way. Excellent experience, professional competency all around, full marks! I highly recommend C-D Health Care.

NOT ER. This is a medical appointment with Dr Choi So far,…read moreso good. Arrival experience: Valet parking was smooth with friendly valet. Walked directly in to the lobby reception and was greeted by two friendly desk associates. The check in required photo identification for both of us. Clear instructions to the Dr Office on the first floor. DR CHOI's office: Checked in by Kelly~ friendly and efficient. Nearly immediately checked with procedures and sent us to X~ray registration on level one lobby. ( this seemed like the only redundant process) there was no line, so we were able to check in quickly with the friendly desk representative who knew we were on our way- Good communication between Kelly at Dr Choi's office and Radiology reception. Within minutes we were on the way to 2nd floor radiology. RADIOLOGY: smooth arrival experience ( I recommend that you snap a photo of your script for your records before handing it over. They were accommodating for this when we asked, this may save time from having to ask for records later. WAITING: one other patient was in the waiting room when we arrived. The waiting room is organized, well lit, and clean. There is a TV The wait was reasonable and brief about 7 minutes. Erica and student Tammy greeted us and requested the script ~ we directed them to the desk agent. Within a minute, they left for X-ray. More pleasant staff. All is going smoothly for Radiology. I will review Dr Choi separately.

From the moment I arrived, I was quickly swept up in the smooth and caring processing and care of hospital staff: after a thorough preliminary exam, I was soon transferred to the hospital itself for 24 hours of careful and thoughtful treatment. I was deeply moved by the kind attention of every member of their staff and the warm dynamic they employed. Discharged yesterday, I am now slowly returning to normal thanks to the unquestioned care of this fine institution and dedicated staff. We are lucky to have this kind of quality option in the mid Hudson Valley.

I knew it might just be a raging migraine but you don't want to mess around with a possible stroke. I got to the emergency room and my husband and I were ushered right to a private curtained area and examined. They ran all the labs and placed IVs and started monitoring my heart in just a few minutes. They turned the lights way down for me because I was very light sensitive and the headache was terrible. Everyone was quiet and respectful while also doing their job. From the nurses to the residents to the attending I felt well treated. A few hours later the headache subsided and they suggested I get MRI and cat scans to see if there had been any brain involvement. The tests were right in the hospital and there was no waiting. Finally, they suggested that I stay overnight because they like to keep heart monitors on for 24 hours after an event. I knew by then that it was really only a vicious headache, but I choose to follow medical advice and stay to be sure. My overnight stay and care of the hospitalist was actually relaxing. Everyone was so nice and caring and BONUS I got a break from my 3 small children at home for one night!! I would recommend this hospital highly.

I did what one should never do - I tried to beak up the fight. I was concerned for the much smaller dog that was the trespassing instigator. It was a blur of dogs and I don't know who bit me. Urgent care was not fun. They were very authoritative about the state mandated protocols for dog bites/rabies and were emphasizing that over giving me care. The PA was particularly nasty and immediately started talking about both dogs being quarantined in spite of the fact that I had already established that my dog is up to date on all his shots. She's acting like I'm an asshole that got bit and she's a cop. Then she starts saying because I didn't have the other dogs information (yet) I would have to be treated for rabies! Meanwhile I'm the only one looking at my bleeding arm and thinking, OK, where's the betadine? The whole scenario at Urgent Care was grim. I mean it was empty - no waiting, it was clean - all great. But it's the cold authoritative "mommy scolding you" attitude that got them in trouble.
