A few years ago I got a gorgeous pair of little sequined pumps that are far from the tacky looking sequined items you see in other shops. The shoes look very dainty and they fit my small size 2/3 feet perfectly which I have a huge problem with in other shoe shops. This branch of Office is a good size, the staff are friendly and they quite often have good sales on so you might get yourself a bargain pair of shoes. The staff in here are lovely lovely people: I went in recently to buy my first pair of trainers for five years (yes, I am a freak) and they couldn't have been more patient or understanding. I was in the shop for well over an hour and must've tried on at least ten different pairs, which meant the assistant had to run up and down the stairs to the stock room at least ten times, but he smiled and joked with me throughout: the guy deserves a medal. Be warned though... visits at peak times (Saturday afternoon and Thursday evening) can be a bit of a tight squeeze and they don't accept returns (except on faulty goods).

The styles of khakis/chinos, jeans, button down shirts rarely change year to year; which means what you buy will stay in style for ages and if you do need to replace a favourite item - chances are it's still being made - or at least something very similar. So, when he needed a fresh pair of smart looking khakis we bypassed the department stores and went straight to the source. This dedicated shop has the biggest selection of Tommy Hilfiger around for men and women - more styles, more colours, more sizes than other places in town and lots of items on sale as well. In fact, they seem to have more in back than on the floor and the helpful sales assistant was happy to make a fuss over us and search out every style and colour of khakis in my hubby's size. Some had slimmer profiles. Some had a more athletic cut - it was surprising what looked so similar actually did have different fit. Finally, after several attempts we found perfection combination of cut and colour resulting in a happy hubby and a happy salesman (and a delighted, somewhat exhausted, wife). During the trying and retrying of the khakis, I did have a peek upstairs at the women's department. Very preppy, very classic and definitely not my style; there also seemed to be less of a selection than downstairs for the men. But, again, probably more Hilfiger Women's clothing than you would find elsewhere. All in all, a pleasant and successful shopping experience. Had assumed that any place so close to the town centre would rip me off, and tried a few before this one that were almost certainly 'upselling' the amount of repair work I needed to get done. For context - my phone screen had become slightly dislodged (not broken in any way). Apple would only offer £90 for a screen replacement. Other shops would only offer £40-70 for replacement too. Cables and chips told me that this was a possibility, but they would look at the level of internal damage and see if this was necessary, talking me through the whole thing. So I let them take a look. They concluded (as I had suspected myself) that nothing was broken and the screen just needed to be glued back into place - it seems that when the gadget was refurbished it got too little glue. They did this very quickly, and charged me £5 for it!! Not only this, they also carefully packed my phone, looked after it for me, and put it on charge while the new glued dried. I left with a robust, fully charged phone, and my wallet not much lighter. It's a few weeks later now and my phone is still working like new, so I'm certain I made the right choice - the other shops really were just scaremongering to get more money out of me. That, or they didn't have the confidence or expertise to do anything other than a standard screen replacement, never mind what was best for the customer. I've been recommending this place to people all over and frankly wouldn't take my phone anywhere else now. I also bought a screen protector there as a bit of a thank you, and the lady behind the counter cleaned my phone and applied it for me there and then, all the while giving me tips about how to do it myself in case I needed to apply one in future. All in all a really excellent experience, especially compared to the rest of the pack. Feels like getting the mates' rates even if you've never met them before. Absolutely recommend.

I looked on maps for opticians and here is where we came. We lucked out, the optical experts here were so helpful and cheerfully told us that they could definitely replace the little tiny pads! They replaced them so quickly and told us we should replace them when they get discolored. I asked how much we owed them, but the gentleman helping us said that there was no charge! I think we were floored! He said because they sell this brand, there was no charge. This is a heavenly country for sure!! Btw, the frame selection is very on point, so do yourself a favor and stop by.

I popped a lozenge and felt immediately relieved, the Sudafed also cleared my nose. Staff here definitely knows their products! Thank you for the assistance

This little store is now my go-to spot to pick up prescriptions, mainly because they 1. fill the prescription while you wait and 2. always have my medication in stock. Boots down the road isn't a bad option, but they don't tick these two boxes and for someone who is perpetually behind the eight ball, the speed and ease of Lloyds wins out. It also helps that the folks behind the counter are always helpful and friendly. Going to the pharmacy is an errand, not a chore and Lloyds makes that a reality.
