Recently, we came back for a mini reunion and made Eberle a place where our party of 8 could relax, unwind, and reminisce of yesteryears while enjoying the beautiful views from the covered vineyard deck, and needless to say we absolutely had a blast! The tasting experience was still complimentary thanks to the blessed heart of Mr. Gary Eberle (thank you kind Sir), who also happened to grill up some delicious meats and smoked sausage that day (Santa Maria style), which was the perfect pairing to his wines. Special mention to Stephanie, who did an phenomenal job guiding us through the last cave tour of the day...and Mr. Eberle, she truly did your story justice (and then some!). WOW! I hadn't visited since the week before everything shut down for COVID, and I'm happy to say it's just as great as I remembered. The vibe is cozy and understated, which is a big part of the charm. It doesn't feel overly commercialized or like they're rushing people in and out; there's a real sense of care behind the experience. The wines are excellent, and the pricing feels very fair, especially since nothing about the experience feels over the top or pretentious. We came on a last-minute trip and weren't able to get a reservation online, but they were kind enough to accommodate us as walk-ins. We spent about an hour there, enjoyed the tasting, and ended up buying a few bottles. We'll definitely be back soon, and I'd love to join the wine club once we start drinking more wine. Highly recommend, just really good quality all around.

McLintock's down stairs the ability to have a meal catered is easy, and with the kitchen area in the back, other caterers can do good as well. Being on the second floor with the small elevator is a bit of a traffic jam, and parking in downtown Paso around the area can be tight, however it is well worth it. The stage at one end of the room works good for entertainment of that head table so book it I say. I have been to Christmas parties, and a wedding here and it has worked well for every event.

The property is located in the rolling hills not far from the main road but tucked away enough to feel away from it all. The price point for the rooms is below the value received. There is not a restaurant on site, but they do provide a daily delicious breakfast in an indoor lovely setting that was included. They offer an extensive Sunday brunch for $39.00. Parking is sufficient for the number of suites and an EV charger is located in 2 stalls. The staff is accommodating. Allegretto vineyard and winery is just down the way with a lovely upscale restaurant if you don't want to go downtown which is 11 minutes away with a plethora of choices for dining and shopping. Can't wait to return to this gem. I did have a problem with booking through a third party service, so I would suggest booking directly to ensure your room is available.

When we checked in and got to our room, the property felt completely empty. We were the only guests we could see, which made the whole place feel eerie and uncomfortable. We walked around the entire property and saw no one. There were only three cars in the parking lot, including ours and the front desk employee's car, yet we were told they were "fully booked" when we asked about moving to a larger room. The room itself was not great. The bed is extremely hard and squeaks with every movement. On top of that, the AC does not work. We told the front desk before leaving for dinner about the AC and were told someone would come fix it. When we returned, the room was even hotter than before & it felt like walking into a sauna. The windows don't open, so the only way to get air in is by opening the doors, which obviously lets bugs in. The "free wine tasting" was also frustrating. At check-in, we were told that we would get complimentary tastings at the tasting room. When we went to the tasting room, we were told they were "too busy" for tastings and that we would need to buy glasses of wine instead. We didn't want to make a scene, so we ended up purchasing a bottle and a glass, which came out to $85 & we never received the tastings we were told were included with our stay. Overall, this has been a terrible experience. Between the uncomfortable room, broken AC, lack of guests/staff on the property, and being denied the complimentary tasting we were promised, I would not recommend staying here. Do not let the 4.6 rating fool you.

Everyone got the chance to hold each bird with a gloved hand. We met Bug, the calm and irresistibly cute mini owl; Jack, the Eurasian Eagle Owl, surprisingly heavy and full of personality (though not thrilled about being passed back to his handler); Goose, the chatty falcon who was charming but preferred not to be touched; and Ranger, the hawk, who stole the show. We loved sending Ranger out and calling him back with a treat--though he did swoop down and land on my head once (thankfully, I had a hat on!). After all the bird encounters, we wrapped up with a wine tasting at Via Vega Winery. It was the perfect way to end a unique, unforgettable experience.
