If you ever have the need to visit Snyder, TX, the Fairfield Inn and Suite is a surprisingly excellent modern, comfy hotel with all the amenities for the business traveler. Upon checking in, I did run into a minor hiccup. The lady at the front desk told me that her supervisor erroneously gave my room reservation away to another person (!?). After about 30 minutes, she managed to find me another room. She was a hard worker - she apparently was also the check-in person, TV repair woman, hotel locksmith (one of my coworker's hotel key stopped working) and check-out person. OMG she's doing all the work! The rooms were very comfy, with a spacious shower and plenty of space to work. I only stayed one night but had a solid night of sleep. Free and powerful wifi. Not bad for $89/night, and apparently its the same price for a standard room with 2 queen beds, a king bed, and a suite (king bed, couch, living room, and two TVs!). The short version: Not pet friendly, not clean. Long version: My stay at the Fairfield Inn was awful. When I booked the stay, and when I arrived, I was really excited. I had gotten a great price, and the outside of the hotel looked nice. However, when I walked in with my dog, I was surprised with a $100 pet fee. I looked later on the hotels.com listing for this Fairfield Inn, and it said that the hotel was pet friendly and made NO MENTION of any pet fee. I felt misled by the pet friendly designation, and nobody likes a hotel that is trying to mislead customers with surprside fees. Then, when I got up to my room, it was gross. In the hallway, it looked like someone had crumbled up a bag of cookies and sprinkled them on the floor. I figured someone must have done it since the cleaning crew had worked, and that my room would be different. But my room also had stuff all over the floor. Food and stickers from food were on the carpet, and dirt and hair on the tile. My room had not been swept or vaccummed. Given that I had just paid for the supposed mess that my pet was going to make, it was insulting that my room wasn't even clean to begin with. Don't stay here. read more

Everyone's friendly tho, the cleaning crew doesn't know how to clean or something, I even told the front desk that I needed my room cleaned and bedsheets changed because my allergies were so bad!! Now the cleaning crew avoids my room so I'll be avoiding this hotel as should you! read more

I'm a Marriott member so they are all I usually stay at, but I will probably choose another option in Snyder. I was there about a month ago. I got in late, check in was quick. The room was a little worn down and musty smelling, but not too bad (it's a small town, what do you expect) All was going fine until 3 in the morning when sime one started baking on the door next to ours. We finally called the front desk and was told they are trying to wake up a worker staying there. The knocking went on for over an hour. We discussed it with check out and told them we had a horrible night because of this and was told, they couldn't wake up one of their intoxicated employees and to have a nice day. read more

Upon arrival, was told I couldn't have the room I reserved because they accommodated other people and were full. Rooms did not cool well. Carpet in hallways and community bathroom dirty. Feces on bathroom wall and blood on toilet paper. All trash cans on property were full. Weren't able to use pool because it was green. Unfriendly service. Very disappointed with our stay. read more

I wanted to give a 5 star here, but just couldn't. On check-in, I was asked for my phone number? Strange...then it was obvious the person checking me in had not checked my profile or my preferences. I didn't make a big deal about it because the room was enough to "cover". The room itself? Nice and quiet. Comfy bed, everything you expect from a Fairfield property. Parking can get tight when they are busy. I did not try the breakfast. Just enjoyed the extra sleep. My next trip through here, I'd stay here again for sure. read more

I give them four stars because it was clean and while the employees were polite they were less than professional or forthcoming about details. This place is quite proud of itself considering the price. The room was clean but not large, the breakfast was hot and plentiful and their coffee was exceptionally good. It is a little tricky to get out of the driveway and head back toward town. I might be willing to stay there again in an emergency but I'll probably look for a better price. read more

Great clean hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. There was a huge walkin shower that we loved. The Friday night that we arrived they had happy hour with wings and fries. The free breakfast had everything-Texas shaped maple cinnamon waffles, eggs, cheese omelette, ham, sausage, cereal, fruit, yogurt and pastries. If you forgot something, Walmart is across the street. We stayed for one night, and Irma at the front desk was very attentive to our needs. In fact I parked near the west door, and as I was coming in to bring things I noticed a hornets nest near that door and several flying around the door. Anyway, I notified Irma and she took care of it immediately. The hotel looked brand new even though it is a few years old, and the room was excellent. We also really enjoyed the hot breakfast and everything was really nice. read more

We are loyal Marriott customers, typically going with Fairfield Inn/Residence Inn/Towneplace Suites/Springhill Suites for the free breakfast (we have two small kids). Marriott hotels are usually consistent and never really disappoint, however, this particular hotel exceeded our expectations. The check in staff were so sweet and accommodating, they gave us a cute little check in gift of water and snacks, the WiFi was solid (I work online and had zero issues), the breakfast was good and the breakfast attendant went out of her way to bring me fresh fruit at the tail end of breakfast when I saw the fruit was empty (this was huge for me because I can't eat meat or dairy so fruit was like 50% of my options). We were only passing through but it was clean, comfortable, and convenient. All the things we love about Marriott hotels. read more

My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel. We like Fairfield and the more recent one that we stayed in in Longview Texas was exceptionally good at any price range. Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet those standards. The hallway smelled badly. It appeared also that someone had spilled a plate of food right in front of our door and left much of the crumbs, debris etc. The mess was there when we arrived and when we left the next morning and we did not leave early. The staff had to see this mess because it was very close to the reception desk.The odor was so bad in the hallway that it got into our room and made it somewhat uncomfortable. We were completely exhausted so we did not request a room change. My bad. The room was on the first floor and when we turned the lights out the room was still brightly lit up. It is amazing that even with the curtains shut and putting towels below the curtains to block a bright light immediately outside of this room that you could not make the room appear to be dark. Very uncomfortable. We also were astounded when it was time to take a bath, because my wife had a bad leg and could not stand in the shower, the tub was completely reversed. The shower and tub water outlet we're on the slanted end of the tub and the flat part of the tub where the water drain was on the other end. If you tried to sit in the tub your head hit something. If you tried to stand up and take a shower anywhere near the showerhead you were standing on the slanted section and trying not to break your neck. It is like something you would see in a comedy where a plumber got mad at the establishment and put everything in backwards. What was that. Those were the big things and there were a few smaller ones such as why was the ceiling in the bathroom painted two different colors. Couldn't they find the same color. That's being picky but with all we put up with I couldn't help but notice it. The only reason I didn't give it a one star is because the reception personnel upon arrival and also upon departure were very nice. This was the hotel we used for our guests for our wedding. The elevator went out on Friday and was not fixed or even attempted to be the whole weekend. Most of of family is 60 years plus so having to have them walk up and down stairs wasn't exactly inviting. Also the issue of luggage transportation for arrival and departure was a total hassle. The GM had mentioned to the Mother of the Bride who works for Marriott in CA that she would give everyone Marriott Rewards Points for that inconvenience but to this day no one has received any. The hotel looked dilapidated with overgrown landscape, overran with weeds and garbage all over the parking lot. The pool was also dirty. The Market was not very well stocked with beverages or snacks. There were only a few bottles of water at the beginning of the weekend and totally out by Sunday. We found the most upsetting issue was Justin the front desk agent's VERY inappropriate comment about the Father of the Brides weight that he thought was funny but no one other than Justin laughed. read more

Great value and customer service. We booked a suite with two queens and a double sofa bed through Expedia for 5. When we got to the hotel the room had only 2 queens. Apparently, 2 queens and a sofa bed isn't even an option at this hotel. This was Expedia's mistake, not the hotel's, but despite this, the kind receptionist arranged a second room for us at no extra charge. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and the included breakfast was definitely a step up from what we expected. Great hotel experience! read more

We stayed here for my daughters wedding for 5 nights. Upon pulling up to the property the first thing we noticed was the overgrown weeds and lawn. Then walking up to the front door we noticed the crumbling of the rock pillars and the missing rocks from the pillar strewn around the pillar and just left there for anyone to walk into or trip on. I did make an offer to the Manager to fix them while I was there which she uncomfortably laughed at although I was totally serious. The first impression is that the property's up keep is not a concern. The stairwells were also in desperate need of cleaning as there was dried mud through out each one and the banisters were sticky to the touch. I will say the lobby is fairly clean although the "Market" was severely lacking in options from beverages to snacks and stayed like that the whole time. There was not any replenishing done during our stay. We went to the Walmart across the street to purchase sodas and bottles of water, which did save us money. Definitely vastly different than other Marriott properties I have stayed at. The rooms we had were clean and big which I am giving one star for. The 2 major issues that were very concerning were 1: the elevator going out on Friday afternoon and it not being fixed during our time there. This was a not only a hindrance to get up and down to our room but also much more so upon check out trying to get our luggage down from the 3rd floor. The gal who identified herself as the front desk supervisor named Crystal let us know that when we were going to check out Monday morning that we could call and have the maintenance man assist with our bags. Well, apparently the maintenance man decided not to show up on Monday and although the woman Cheryl whom was working the front desk did offer to assist us, she was not in any physical form to do so, though no fault of her own at all. The second and most concerning issue was the desk agent Justin and his inappropriate comment regarding my weight which he obviously felt he had made in jest or a joking manner because of his laughter after he said it, but I, the paying guest did not find the comment to be the least bit funny. It was offensive and rude. I cannot say that we will for certain stay there again the next time we are in town even though this is the closest lodging to our family as I being a "guest" do not want to hear inappropriate comments or jokes made about my weight, which was completely unprofessional and not anything I have experienced from other Marriott properties. read more

I have reviewed this location before and have given it excellent reviews. My wife and I have stayed at this great hotel many times since it first opened. Today, 6/5/18, the owners should be admonished for being open for business. This hotel should not be open until the plumbing is fixed. The smell that immediately hit me upon entering the lobby was horrendous. I was told by the front desk that this is an ongoing problem and is particularly bad today...something to do with a leak under the property. Yes, it was so bad that I can still smell and taste the stench hours after leaving. My wife and I stayed an unpleasant hour in our second floor room and checked out. Please, marriott/fairfield, do NOT accept guests when you have a leaky, smelly, broken pipe under your structure. I really liked this place but today literally leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I might stay here again on another one of our pass-throughs, but I will definitely ask if they took care of the horrible smell. read more
