Traveling to New Mexico through Texas, there isn't many options in the smaller towns our route is taking us through. Being Hilton Honors members we try to stay and Hilton branded hotels, this one was the only one around unless we drove another hour to Lubbock, tho that was way out of our way. The pictures online show a classier 3 star hotel than what you see when you arrive. The covered drive up area had rolls of carpet and a few conex boxes as well. Ok, cool, they are renovating, that could be a good sign. Walking inside, it's a visual of half done projects with some newer areas on small doses on the first floor. The dining room is next to the counter and it has newer furniture... tho no tv's. If you want your news or entertainment while eating breakfast or other meals, you better bring your own device to watch it on. We got checked in and the lady at the counter was friendly enough. Even when I requested something to be fixed that never was tended too, more on that to come. We were on the 2nd floor, end of the hall. The hallway definitely shows the need to renovate. The carpet alone is a HUGE tripping hazard with ripples and rolls all over the place, seams torn and fraying. It's a mess as it sits, not to mention its design looks like it should be in a casino. It's an interesting design. That doesn't effect my review, just an observation, tho the quality of it's condition does effect my review. The room was ok, was clean as far as I could tell. This is another hotel that doesn't use the bed bug mattress protectors, to add to that the fitted sheet was barely on the corners. Looks like they have a 4 inch side fitted sheet on an 8 inch mattress. Be warned, it'll peel up while you sleep and when you wake up you're likely to be on part of the mattress. I didn't notice any bed critters upon a quick inspection, tho I didn't tear the sheets off completely either. The pillows were smaller than twin sized pillows and very flat. I was so uncomfortable even with two pillows. The bathroom, goodness, looks like they tried to update than decided to leave the ambience of worn rustic update. The faucet and counter top was newish, but the shower was weak, the clear caulk around the seams along the shower tray was a mess, I looked like a toddler did it. The wallpaper is peeling, the ceiling had stains. It was a mix of oddities combined with shiny chrome and sliding glass doors. The reviews here on Yelp creates a lower rating. The surprise is the rating on Google has it at 4.2 stars with 506 reviews, not sure why there is such a large discrepancy. I can overlook renovations, I understand that creates a mess, tho the way it looks like they are renovating some parts and not others, or they aren't just going room by room, makes it a bit of a visual mess. read more

This place should not be open. Run down and horrible maintenance. No ice machine works, carpet is ripped, torn or stained. Room was so bad we had to book a room somewhere else. Less than one star. When we called for reservations they did not say the place is being renovated. It smells horrible. They are serving breakfast in the gym. Real sanitary. The room keys have to be swiped repeatedly to open the doors, the elevators are draped in plastic. And the televisions do not work. Reporting this to the staff does no good. I will never waste my money in this establishment again. read more

When I arrived I had to wait to check in. When the lady at the front finally got to me. She asked for two proof of ID. All the other nights I stayed at a Hilton, they accepted just my military ID. Since, they do military discounts, you just have to show proof to receive it. When I got to my room, there was no trash bags. The toilet seat was up and on the seat I noticed it was broken. In the shower the wall had a crack in it. All the damage was done before I got there. Also, there was someone else's hair on the towels. We will see if they try to charge me for damage I didn't do. If I could I would give this place a zero the staff are extremely RUDE and lazy and love giving dirty looks. I am very disappointed with this hotel and would not recommend staying here.The pool has a nasty film on the top of it as well which is absolutely DISGUSTING and UNACCEPTABLE when children swim in there the least they could do is make it clean. When I got to my room there were several urine stains on the rugs and mind you the lady at the front desk gave us no directions or times for when breakfast starts/ends! I 100% would recommend finding another hotel before choosing to stay here. read more

I am a Hilton Diamond member so I have been to lots of Hilton properties. This property is one of the worse I've been in. #1. Found gummies and debris in the couch under the cushions. #2. Ice machines on 2 out of 4 floors out of order. And finally once I was checked into the room no TV remote to be found. Management has yet to obtain one. read more

Stayed there twice recently, Sep 8 and Sep 12. The first review on Hotels.com was a 10, the second a 6. In each case check-in with Justin was awesome, but breakfast fell far short of expectations. Apparently, Hotels.com only posts the good parts of a review.... On the first visit, breakfast was sparse (as expected due to the virus) but also poorly stocked. "20 minutes after opening it was already out of utensils, cereal bowls, ketchup and breakfast sandwiches were down to three. Yogurt eventually ran out too before the front desk clerk got around to restockig things." I expressed my disappointment both on Hotels.com and to Justin at check-in on the second visit. Hotels.com published my full review. The second visit was worse. Arriving for breakfast at 6:20, I alerted the desk clerk that I had taken the last fresh coffee cup, and later that the yogurt was out and breakfast sandwiches were down to 2, and still later that two of the four coffee dispensers were empty. At each point she took care of the immediate need but failed to check anything else. Having restocked the sandwiches, they were half-cooked and cold. As to the second review at Hotels.com, only the good part was published: "Check in with Justin was great!" Such a lack of integrity! Hotels.com is owned by Expedia. read more

Mmmm, stay somewhere else. On our recent stay, we didn't have any towels or soap in the room. None of the staff or patrons wear masks, despite signs everywhere about health, safety and sanitation. This hotel does not appear to take people's health and safety seriously. read more

Check in with Justin was friendly and pleasant. However; when we came down for breakfast there was nothing left. As we attempted to get coffee for the road the dispenser was empty'. Amy simply told us she had sandwiches in the oven and didn't respond except to say "sorry" when the coffee was out. She stayed on her cell phone in the guest area while everything in the breakfast area was out. There was also a dead cricket in between the sheets which makes me wonder if the linens had been changed between guests. Luckily, there are other choices in Snyder. Tiffany was the absolute worst. She made our stay miserable. She was one of the worst people I've ever had the misfortune of meeting. Rude on EVERY level imaginable. Everyone in my party thought so. I even heard other guests talking about how rude she was at breakfast so it wasn't just us. First off let me say that the gentleman working the night shift worked hard to resolve this situation. But so disappointed in Hampton Inn management. The storm that came through around 5:00 am this morning, after we arrived at 1:30 am, caused the smoke detector to go off in our room. Only our room was affected, but of course it woke folks up in other rooms as they kept coming out to the hall to see what the noise was. At 5:40 I was down stairs, we were up on the 4th floor, and he was on the phone still working on it. He ended up getting a ladder and disconnecting the detector. I had about 3 hours sleep. And for our troubles all we received was we are sorry. So much for the 100% Hampton guarantee. read more

Worst customer service ever! No perks for diamond members (no snack at check-in), housekeeper woke us up 3 times before 10:00 am, and the shower in room 408 didn't work (water came out of faucet but only a slight trickle from shower head). When we tried to fix it, the faucet had been pulled from the wall before so someone else had this issue before we did. It was after 11:30 pm so we just left it alone. When I told the lady at the front desk on Sunday morning at check-out (her name is Sanna), she did not really care - she offered nothing to compensate us for the issues. I told her that a staff member at a different location gave us points because they didn't have snacks and because their housekeeping staff woke us up at 8:00 am, and she said "we cannot give points for inconveniences", which was obviously not true. I asked her if she cared about the shower not working it was she just going to rent the room out to someone else and she really had nothing to say. Absolutely horrible customer service!! read more

Newer building. Although in very small town it meets the Hilton owned brand standard of Hampton Inn as well as any I've stayed in. At first I was not excited to stay in this unfamiliar area of Texas so at the end of our second day of work I was relieved to walk back into this Hampton Inn. Then forgot cash to get quarters to do laundry. The front desk staff used a common sense approach and just gave the $2 in quarters so I could use the on site laundry. I know it's only two dollars but it would have been awful if I had to take an Uber late at night to a few miles away just to use the ATM and get cash out to turn into quarters to do laundry. So it's nice to feel like you're at home here and taken care of when you're on the road. Other hotels in Snyder didn't look nearly as nice - book here if you can. This same room in a Hampton Inn, in a big city would be 200+ per night. read more

This is my second time at this property. On each visit, the front desk couldn't be better. The property is fairly new, and comfortable but housekeeping seems to have some problems. They "forgot" to clean our room during our 2 night stay and there were a few hairs on the vanity when we checked in. The fit and finish of the property also seems to be less than normal Hampton properties. It's a small town and it looks like they may have been working with a smaller budget. Those things said, it's quiet, comfortable and convenient. read more

Do Not Stay here! The bill will not be accurate and they will not honor the price they give you! We came in for a funeral on a tight budget with a family of 5. We had a good sized room. The toilet was broken and never fixed. The "free internet" was the worst internet. It did not load anything. The t.v. Remote did not work at all. We went to check out and they asked if we would like to stay a few more nights. I asked how much would the total be? They said the rate would be $65 plus tax a night as a AAA and funeral discount. I said that would be great and if they were sure because I can only do it if it is $400 plus tax since I only had so much money. They said yes. I went to check out and they had multiple charges on their for internet (the paid version I did not use) and getting food from the store (it's a funeral there is no shortage of food at a Mexican funeral). They were supposed to remove the extra charges and instead added them again!!! Then I asked why they did not have it at the rate they promised and they said "sorry there is nothing I can do" and that was the manager by the way. We went back and forth and she just sat there with a blank stare. So I had to go pawn my laptop to make it home. Thanks Hampton for making a unexpected horrible situation even worse! read more

This is a fairly new facility, however we had problems. Asked at the front desk for a TV directory and was told "if there's not one in the room we don't have any". They could have printed one from their computer. The tub would not drain and we were told "it worked fine when housekeeping checked it and that 'someone' in our room left the stopper down to hold water." Both my husband and I checked the stopper and pushed it down and back up several times. So basically they called us liars. The General Manager refused to return my phone call to discuss. AVOID THIS PLACE! Everyone there needs some retraining on how to do their job. read more

My second time to stay here. Both times I've had good experiences. The rooms are very clean, and the beds are really comfortable and they have good pillows. I've had no problems with people being loud including the cleaning staff. The front desk is been really helpful and friendly. The reason I can't give five stars is because the breakfast is less than desirable. The breakfast is consistent with most Hampton hotels, and if it weren't for that everything else is great. I know most hotels serve powdered eggs or some equivalent, but it seems like every Hampton I've ever stayed in has the worst most disgusting jelly like fake scrambled eggs. Hampton really needs to correct that. read more

Brand new, beautiful, quiet and extremely clean. We had the entire breakfast buffet and dining room to ourselves. That never happens.

Brand new lovely rooms. Hot breakfast was excellent. The ice cream in the sweet shop was limited. The indoor pool was the best part of this hotel. The wonderful cleaning crew room had our 3 day stay extra clean and quiet. The parking lot had more cars then any other hotels in town. We will stay again in 2 years for or biannual family reunion. read more
