I am genuinely sad to be writing this review because I have been a patient of Dr. Ocampo for over…read more10 years, and I absolutely love her. She is an incredible dentist; kind, thorough, and someone I have trusted with my care for many years. I would recommend her without hesitation. 5 stars for her! Unfortunately, my recent experience was disappointing due to billing/insurance. Prior to my most recent visits, I would call to make an appointment and no one would answer, I finally left a voicemail and the call was returned days later. During my last visit for a cleaning, I scheduled a major procedure for the following weeks and specifically requested that a copy of the cost estimate be emailed to me. The email was never sent. I later received a text to confirm the upcoming appointment and replied asking for someone to call me. No one did. I then called the office myself and left a message. When my call was eventually returned, I again asked about the estimate and clearly requested that it be emailed to me. I still never received it, it was only verbally provided. After switching insurance plans, I discovered that Dr. Ocampo is no longer in-network with my current insurance, which explained the very high estimate I was quoted. I compared costs with in-network providers and found a significant difference. Had I not followed up on my own and requested the estimate, I could have unknowingly paid a large out-of-network cost. I called back to confirm and was extremely disappointed in the woman's response and tone. While I continue to have the utmost respect for Dr. Ocampo, the lack of communication and follow-through regarding billing and insurance information is concerning. I rely on transparency and this completely fell short of my experience.

I have suffered dental problems all my life. Sunn I G Yoon DDS is the first dentist office to tell…read moreme it could be hereditary. I started my treatments five years ago. Cleanings every 4 months and my teeth still would come out. One by one. This year I lost 6 teeth. She has been professional and explains how she believes we should treat my problems. I don't always agree and I am given a choice. She is stern and tells you what you should be doing with your teeth. I want to keep the ones I have left. She does not baby you or sweet talk you, yet she if very friendly. She is upfront with costs and procedures. She let me stretch my payments out so I could afford treatment. Extremely grateful I found her.

Not only that, but they wrote my prescription under another patient's name. A male at that. Back to the tooth, the infection never went away, I ended up having to get it pulled. She makes you sign a bunch of paperwork before work gets done, while sitting in the chair, and she makes you put a payment down so she can force you to come back for treatment. It's been a while since I've been there, but speaking with other patients of hers, makes me realize she does this to a lot of people. She does everything half ass, so you can come back for more treatments. More money for her pocket, less teeth for your mouth! ‍

Both his mother and myself, were asking her why she was scaring him, and her reply was I need my patience to be aware of what's going to happen, as my grandson is 11 years old.. we were both flabbergasted at her demeanour from the beginning... She was completely rude and unprofessional and asked us to leave and make another appointment.. I believe she didn't want to do it because it was through Medi-Cal, and they weren't going to get paid as much money unless he was put under..

I was given a referral here by my dentist, meaning that I was responsible for calling them for an…read moreappointment, not the other way around. For my first consultation, I was greeted kindly by all the staff; the receptionists, the nurses, and even said Dr. Keyhani. I had read all the reviews after that first consultation, before the day of my surgical procedure here. And I do admit it made me nervous for going in, as it was too late for a cancellation. I had a surgery of 4 wisdom teeth removals altogether. During my prep for the day of the surgery, the nurses constantly checked in with me to make sure I was okay and even gave me a blanket to keep warm prior to the anesthesia kicking in (mind you-- they didn't have to do this if I was going to sleep regardless and not feel cold while being operated.) My interaction with the surgeon was short, but not once did I feel she was being rude. Once I awoke from the surgery, I was gently escorted in a wheelchair to my ride's car. The nurses had already gone to the parking lot to look for my assigned driver to facilitate my pick-up by the building. The nurses had already handed my after-care package to my driver since I was still groggy from the sedation. My package consisted of paperwork for aftercare information (what foods to eat, what to expect post-surgery, etc.), a pack of gauzes, and a hand sanitizer for gauze replacement. Overall, it was a smooth transition for me and my driver. I have been recovering smoothly so far. I was asked which pharmacy they should send my prescription to, and they did send it to the right one. However, it took a little longer for my pharmacy to receive it-- about 2 hours. There are some reviews that say the Starbucks gift card review was "peer-pressured" to them; not once did the staff mention it to me to fill it out. This is my honest review. I recommend you research into what to expect for a procedure like this; both in preparation and for post-care, and that you ask all of your questions PRIOR to the day of your surgery. That way you make the surgery a smooth procedure for all parties, including yourself. I get that medical procedures can be intimidating, but that's no excuse to come in with a defensive mood if you're anxious about the procedure. If you treat the staff with respect, you will receive that back.
