After a long grind of a work week in the Florida Panhandle, I rolled into Pensacola International…read moreAirport running on fumes, deadlines, and pure hunger. Let me tell you this airport is cozy. And by cozy, I mean you blink and you've seen all 11 terminals. It's so small if you miss your gate, you can probably still hear them calling your name from the parking lot. Naturally, I "ran into" Beach House... mainly because it's the only place to run into. But thank God it was there. I ordered the bowl and the wings, and listen I was hungrier than a hostage. That food didn't just hit the spot, it tackled it. The wings were on point, crispy and sauced like they meant business. The bowl? Cleaned it like it owed me money. After a week of work, that meal felt like PTO for my taste buds. Now let's talk about Kourtney. Airport service can sometimes feel like, "Here's your food, good luck in life." But not Kourtney. She delivered the kind of service you don't expect in an airport especially when most customers are one-and-done travelers she may never see again. She was friendly, attentive, and on it. Absolute pro. If airport hospitality had a Hall of Fame, she's first ballot. I know I'll be back working the Panhandle again, and when I do, I'm pulling up to Beach House before I even check my gate. For now 100% recommend. Small airport, big flavor, and service that actually makes you smile before getting crammed into seat 23B.

Disclaimer: I am only reviewing the bar…read more And that bar was awesome! The Pensacola airport does not have an endless supply of eating/drinking establishments, but what they do have works just fine. That includes Pensacola Beach House, a nice spot for a drink or maybe some bar & grille fare. We had a flight to catch and a thirst to quench. Pensacola Beach House met one of those two needs, serving up the locally sourced Pensacola Bay Brewing's brown ale in a bottle. A smashingly good choice! Though we did not eat, the service was excellent, and I did ogle the young man's street tacos next to me, which looked pretty fantastic. I was admittedly not hungry, so maybe next time. It is super easy to find on the only real concourse, great service, nice space, and not airport-priced. I think I paid $7-8 for a bottle of beer, which is not outrageous for an airport. Great spot!

Service was perfect . The food came out timely. And they insured its what you ordered. My steak was over cooked. No mess no fuss. Corrected on the spot. Manager delivered the replacement. Perfect. Perfect perfect. At the end he comped us desert. Not asked for, not expected. I'm sold This will be a regular dinning experience for us. Great atmosphere, excellent staff. Attentive but not pusshy. And food to die for. If you've never tried them your missing a gem. Not inexpensive by any means. But worth the drive time and money. If this sounds like I love the place. Guilty as charged.

Hubby had a wedge salad with wonderful fresh made blue cheese dressing. He then got the Shrimp and Grits which was delicious. I ordered the scallops. The server said that it comes with three but I could get 4 or 5. That was hard to judge as I didn't know how big the scallops were but opted for the standard three. Good decision as the scallops were large. And they were cooked perfectly! The best part was the crème brûlée cornbread the scallops were served on! Rich and decadent, the bread complimented the scallops. Thankfully the dish also came with a "salad" of peppers and other things in a tart vinaigrette. It cut through the richness of the scallops and cornbread. Overall, wonderful dinner. Can't wait to return.

We had the chicken fried steak breakfast with eggs and a biscuit and the biscuits and gravy plate that came with eggs your way and grits. The gravy has bits of sausage patty. We left full! The coffee was hot and kept coming. The service was excellent. We would make the detour when traveling on I-10 to visit here again...until then we will dream of chicken fried steak and biscuits.

But how in the world did we miss Julwin's before? I mean, we truly missed out on this little jewel of a place! Now, I can handle just about anything from Waffle House to Another Broken Egg, but listen, quit scrolling, and head over to Julwin's Restaurant. From the coffee to the biscuit and everything in between, you can tell that those folks in the back know how to cook breakfast. My wife ordered the Western omelet, and opted for the Spinach. I know we didn't take three sips of coffee before our food came out piping hot and fresh off the griddle! The eggs were perfect as were the hash browns. I like my biscuit as dessert, and I'm happy to say I was not disappointed. Guys, we'll be back. There's no question Julian is on our must see list on our next trip to Fairhope.
