Booked a room here for a wedding . The room was nice and clean, the only complaint was the sink was stopped up. I didn't make a big deal of it. The complimentary breakfast was less than mid for me but it'll do the job, wish they had orange juice. My wife and I stayed here while we retrieved items from my late father in a Palmdale storage facility. We are seniors and just wanted a very small favor, late checkout...but more on that later. BTW, I am "Lifetime Sulver Elite" member that started staying at Marriotts in 1989 for business travel. I still do when the prices are reasonable.. When I arrived there was zero recognition of my well-earned status. Usually yiu get a water or two, a "thank you" for all the yeara I have proudly used Marriott, and a welco.e to the area. But not here...if I wanted water I had to pay $4 or $8 per bottle. On the second day of our stay, my wife requested room cleaning.......but when we got back from a long day in 90+ degree heat there were dirty towels on the floor! The nite manager said they were In the dryer and that he would bring them up in 30 minutes. We got them an hour later. We also asked for an extra laundry bag and they "couldn't find" those. Finally, we asked for the same late check out policy that was a wonderful part of Marriott Rewards for years. I was told that as a Silver member I could not recieve late checkout. Only Gold members could do that. I have stayed at Marriott 20+ times in the last 12 months. I made two calls, one to reservations and one to customer service. The second and very good customer service representative interacted with the manager on had and he connected her to the the general manager via phone for 45 minutes or so. When she got back to me she apologized profusely and let me know that the GM would not grant me a 2 pm late checkout......because they were fully booked. Different that the Gold vs. Silver status explanation I recieved. So.........that night I counted how many parking places were available and I COUNTED AT LEAST 60!!! Sold out hotels don't have 60 spaces available for guests. So along with bad management policies, apparently the GM here has a strange relationship truth and facts. I will NEVER stay at ANY hotel managed by the group in charge of the Palmdale, California Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites on Avenue O-8! read more

This would have been a 4.5 or 5 star stay where it not for the debacle at check-in. I and everyone in the lobby overheard the manager lecturing a customer at loud volume who requested a 30 minute late checkout. Her tone and demeanor were disrespectful and it embarrassed the customer. Some of the reasons there would have been five stars. + Free charging for electric vehicles + Nice pool and hot tub + Reasonably comfortable room + Convenient location walking distance to stores and restaurants + Preprinting The daytime team that was part of the check-in was overall very unprofessional. Stayed here on 1/12/25 Needed an overnight room because I got married and didn't want to drive back to LA the same night. Checked in at 9pm. Everything seemed fine until she saw our dog. She then proceeded to say "no dogs allowed" which I responded that he is a service dog. She then questioned what type of service dog. I said he wasn't an emotional support dog but a licensed service dog and showed her his ID card. But she still asked again what type of service dog. This establishment should train their staff. It's illegal to ask that question. Our dog travels with us everywhere and I have never had an issue or have been questioned like this. read more

Worst experience ever! I accidently booked through booking.com and wanted to cancel that and book directly through Marriot. Amy the manager denied it even though we worked over 2 hours to get booking.com to call them like she told us to, she just to reject it. She wouldn't tell us directly, just had the front desk guy tell us she denied it. No rectifying the situation no care in the world. Found my Marriott property I'll be staying at when I'm in Palmdale! Booked last minute and when I arrived, the gal had my key all ready for me, all I had to do was show my id. Super convenient since I arrived close to 11pm. Room was exactly as I had expected a Marriott property to be (like the one I stay in Reno). A plus, the alarm clock has all the chargers so if you forgot yours, they got you! The restroom was large and walk in shower was great. No issues with the water pressure and I loved the bright white lights. There's a coffee machine, little fridge and microwave all in one area. A closet, ironing board and 3 knobs on the wall to hang your purse, jackets or backpack. Highly recommend this property if you're in Palmdale. I'll definitely be back. read more

I travel a lot for work. I am an Ambassador Elite with Marriott. I arrived at 2:00 for my check in on a Sunday. The front desk told me to come back at 4:00 to check in. I've never had an issue checking in early. This establishment let me down as a loyal Marriott patron. read more

This establishment is horribly managed. They keep the doors locked through out the day and blame it on the homeless coming in and out causing trouble. HIRE SECURITY IF IT'S THAT BAD TO THE POINT WHERE THE FRONT DOOR NEEDS KEY ACCESS ALLLLLLL DAY! The rooms smell like no air has circulated in ages and the hotel is only 3-4 years old! One of the main reasons why my company books this hotel is because of the EV charging. Unfortunately non-EV cars repeatedly park in EV spots. We've alerted staff multiple times, but nothing ever happens. Otherwise, the hotel is fine. read more

This location seemed very new. Regardless, it was sparkling clean and very well maintained. The rooms were well designed and the bathroom was almost the size of my bedroom at home with great amenities. The desk in the room was great and the provided chargers meant I didn't have to unpack mine. Also the small dresser which is ALSO a luggage stand was brilliant! The complimentary breakfast was nice with decent options, just a little slow on the restocking of the hot food for a Saturday morning. The 24-hour food mart was so appreciated and convenient! If you're looking to sleep in, know that the sound proofing between the room and hallway isn't great so pack your ear plugs. But the bed was REALLY comfortable and having both soft and firm pillow options was a neat touch. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. All in all I enjoyed my stay and would come again. read more

My big gripe is with the Customer Service by this hotel. I stayed at this hotel October 21, 2024. The hotel is brand new and the room was great. Everything seemed in order until I attempted to take a shower before a business dinner. The water was freezing cold. NO HOT WATER! I let the front desk know my displeasure as I left for dinner without a hint of an apology. "We'll check on it sir." The following morning I attempted another shower as I prepped to check out for another important business meeting. FREEZING COLD WATER. Imagine that. Stopped by the front desk and had to wait 5 minutes since there was nobody in sight at 7:30am. I politely informed the girl that I would like to speak to a manager about this situation. She said the manager was not available. Heard me out and said that a water boiler was out or malfuntioned and nobody was available to repair it until later that day. Asked me about my Marriott Bonvoy number. I did not have it available and had to leave to a meeting. She apologized after the short 3 minute exchanged and offered me 1000 Marriott Bonvoy points pending I found my number and call back. Keeping the story short. I returned for business the following week and wanted to find a hotel to book for the night. I stopped by to attempt to speak to a manager. The front desk gave me the run around the manager was unavailable so I said I'd wait for them no matter how long it took. I sat at the lobby table to wait. She came out immediately (name does not register at the moment.). I explained the entire situation to her from the previous week. She offered me the 1000 Bonvoy points and reprimanded me for not calling back. Imagine that, NO HOT WATER FOR BOTH MY SHOWERS AND I AM BEING REPRIMANDED BY THE MANAGER. Imagine this being customer service where she began to play the victim in the situation. 1. The fact that there was no hot water when staying at their hotel is not my fault. 2. The staff was very cold and unapologetic about the entire circumstance 3. When I asked her what 1000 marriott bonvoy points were equivalent to she would not answer the question. Does that equate to 5 dollars in value for a nights stay? 10 dolllars? 100 dollars? I was told it varied on the property and season without a hint of how many points equated to a free nights stay. That is the bare minumum I would expect. She told me she could not under any circumstance comp a nights stay given my hardship. She could only offer 1000 points. FOR EVERYONES KNOWLEDGE THAT IS LIKE 10 DOLLAR CREDIT. An absolute insult and slap in the face. Above all, the human treatement and interaction was embarrassing by the manager. They did not take the situation of dealing with ice cold water for both my shower attempts in the evening and morning serious at all. They acknowledged the boiler was broken. I spent $172.77 of my hard earned money for this shocking experience. Needless to say, will not be staying here and do not recommend anyone in my business associates with this hotel. This is what I mentioned and she began to play the victim card saying I was threatening and degrading. A complete joke of a manager that should not be working in customer service in any capacity. Anywhere on planet earth, a guest has an issue with their hotel room and at the bare minimum they offer compensation for the night. Not a slap in the face 1000 points which is worth virtually 10 dollars. Marriott should look into this. Rant over, Hopefully nobody else has to experience this horrific treatment at this hotel. read more

Easy location off the freeway, lots of parking, electric vehicle charging available in front & back (one for handicap spot too), nice presentation & variable options for breakfast (shout out to Priscilla for being so friendly & helpful!), modern decor in rooms, tall ceilings, gym adequate & has water dispenser for refillable bottles, A/C works well, plentiful restaurants around the hotel (car recommended, but walkable too). Consistent Wi-Fi is a problem, pool is small, & some bathroom issues noticed-- water pressure of shower can be improved, toilet paper niche is not well done (flimsy, not secure, comes out of wall when you pull for toilet paper-- esp room 101) Thank you to the staff for providing a comfy place to stay in Palmdale. read more

Booked this last minute due to our first hotel being a disaster which included uninvited guest in our room despite it's good reviews . Fortunately we were able to get booked here last minute and the room was a needed relief. It was very new, clean, quiet and comfortable. Space was adequate for two. We booked a room on the fourth floor. The gym downstairs also, very new was great. I loved that they had filtered water available during/after workouts in the room. Sanitizer & wipes were located in a visible location to wipe down equipment when done. They had elliptical, treadmill, weights etc typical of what you'd imagine you'd find. The staff was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We had the complimentary breakfast which was also adequate. All in all we had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. No complaints and if I'm in the area this will be my go to hotel. read more

One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. We stayed here for our State softball tournament. This tournament is a HUGE revenue driver for this hotel. Immediately on arrival the staff was rude and treated the softball families much different and worse than the other guests. They had us sign a special contract that other guests did not have to sign. Little things like getting towels was out of the question and when you ask for them, their rude and point the "contract" you signed. We had to use wet towels all weekend. Three towels between 4 of us. I asked for another pillow. They did not have any and gave me a blanket instead to fold up and use as a pillow.... Maid service never came to give us fresh towels or take out the trash. We asked for another pillow extra blanket... again they didn't have it and gave us a sheet. The elevator was broken so we had to use the stairs and go down a floor to use it. I will never stay at this hotel again for the States tournament. They clearly were not prepared and did not appreciate the business as this was the same experience for every family I talked to this weekend. read more

Reviews like this don't even matter to them because it just falls on deaf ears. They keep the doors locked all day. Member status means nothing to them.
