I booked a room here for 3 people plus it was convenient to get to the convention center from here and not far from The Market. A must stop, several times, if you are visiting. Upon checking in we given a room on the ground floor for 2 people. The hotel was being renovated. And this room had not gone through that process yet. Everything smelled and was outdated. However, it was not the correct room. There was suppose to be a couch for the 3rd person to sleep on. That was not there. I brought this up to the front desk who looked into the matter. Long story short, they realized a mistake was made when they received the reservation from a 3rd party booking firm. We were then given another room. Now this room had been renovated and was much better. It was located on the 3rd floor with a better view. The sheets look new as the large bathroom. The couch was like in its' own room or section complete with TV. The bedroom area, with one King, had its own TV too. Very spacious accommodating all our luggage about 8 large pieces not counting our carry ons and personal items. A 1 cup coffee maker was with a small fridge. We used the fridge to store leftover food but not the coffee. The shower was good with shampoo, conditioner and body soap attached to the shower wall. A hair dryer was there too. Complete of towels for the entire party too. They would like you to keep using those towels but if you want them changed leave them of the floor. It was good to see an iron and ironing board though they were not necessary. Another reason we chose Fairfield is for the included breakfast. It's not much to brag about but it is very convenient. You can make your own fresh waffles. Several toppings available for your waffle and yogurt. I loved the chocolate milk. Eggs and bacon were offered most mornings but they changed it up if you stayed during the week which we did. Apples, bananas and oranges were easy grab and go. Same with boiled eggs individually wrapped and sealed great for a little snack to fight off those peckish moments. A couple variety of muffins, cereals and breads to choose from. A toaster for bagels and white bread was nice to use too. And of course orange juice, teas, coffees with sugar and creamers were there too. The dining area is open 6am to 9am on the weekends. 7am to 10pm during the weekdays. I was there right when they open in the morning. Less people, quieter allowed me to enjoy my simple meal while doing a little work before the rush crowd came in. It did get busy to an almost standing room only if not for the lobby area with convenient areas to sit. A work out room and pool is available for guest. I didn't partake of these services but nice to know they are there if the whim hits me. There is a printer available too should the need arise. Not for me but I did have several letters and packages to mail from our conducted business. The front desk was courteous ensuring these were sent off properly. The location of the property may look difficult because it is tucked away from the street behind another building. You can see it from the streets it's just a matter of how to get to it. It won't take long to figure out once you see it's behind a pizza joint. Convenient. Several restaurants are close by if you don't mind walking 15 to 35 minutes. We walked most of the time enjoying the scenery, cool air, quietness while taking it all in. Overall, I found this a great stay. Convenient services for my needs. Some may not like some of the few activities I noticed there from the younger adults. Minor from my perspective. I would definitely come here again and look forward to it next year. read more

A perfectly acceptable and reasonably priced hotel. I liked how clean my room was. I also liked how inviting the front desk staff were. Some added notes: The hotel is close to the baseball stadium (College World Series) and the Slowdown concert venue. The Old Market and zoo are close, too. I now know why this hotel was relatively cheap - it is in a remote part of the north downtown area with a cluster of other hotels. It is close to the NCAA baseball stadium but if nothing is going on there this area feels lonely and a bit dodgy. Very few places for dinner nearby. The upgraded room was just OK and the bathroom tub is dated. The room could have been cleaner. I found food in the sofa cushions. The free breakfast was fine - typical for a Fairfield Inn. Overall an OK experience but nothing special. read more

First off we are Marriott Gold Members. We went to get into bed to find some nasty, what we think was poop, in our sheets after we checked in. I usually like Fairfield Inn a lot. But this location is pathetic. The rooms are very small and the beds are tiny! Both my son and I fell out of bed because they are so small. Expedia booked us a room that didn't fit all of our family. The front desk lady was very nice and switched our room. It was still smaller than any other Fairfield I've been to. The continental breakfast was horrible! There was almost no food and the girl appeared irritated and ready to clean everything out. Cereal, English muffins and yogurt were the only options. The sales lady was nice and helpful. But the friendly staff was not enough to make up for the glaring deficiencies here. read more

This is a reasonably priced, well-maintained hotel that's just a short walk from the NCAA stadium; it's approximately a mile from downtown's Old Market, and they offer a free airport shuttle as well. My room was clean and comfortable; the mattress was firm and supportive as were the pillows. The rooms also have free reliable Wi-Fi with a strong signal. My only real complaint about my room was the fact that it was really tough to set the AC unit to a temperature I found comfortable. A drawback of this particular property's location is the fact that there aren't a lot of nearby restaurant choices. This is partially counterbalanced by the fact that the hotel's free shuttle will also take you to the Old Market. Tip: They offer a free breakfast with a fair amount of variety; there are various hot foods, as well as waffles, yogurt, bagels, and fresh fruit. To sum it up: This is a clean, well-maintained hotel with a welcoming friendly staff and reasonable prices. I wouldn't hesitate to come back or recommend this property to others. read more

Clean comfortable rooms you would expect at a Marriott property. The computers in the business area have controls on them based on idle time and overall usage time. This was an issue researching apartments in the area. The GM allowed me to use his computer doing apartment research. I later figured out how to set these controls and no longer an issue. This is a hotel that recently upgraded their rooms, and now supports room access via the Marriott app. My access didn't work and they didn't seem motivated to fix it. Not a big deal. If Marriott supports a new and innovative feature and it doesn't work, I would think they'd want to fix it. Oh well. The motion sensors must not reach inside the lobby restroom stall. If it takes too long doing your business you may end up in the dark. read more

Quick stopover while on the way to Denver and not sure I would recommend this Fairfield Inn. The rooms were fine, nothing amazing but fine. A very nice feature you don't always see today is they still offer purchasing in theater movies in your room. At $20 a movie, it's and expensive option but I have always liked having that choice. The staff were friendly enough. The breakfast buffet was okay, but nothing special. The real, real downer is their spa. I have attached pics. It was run down and in no way up to the standards of Marriott. The plaster interior is in horrible shape and should have been replaced some time ago. My daughter wanted to stay at this location because of the pool and spa but sadly she had to wait till we got to Denver. I expect more from the Marriott brand my family enjoys so much. read more

I have been coaxed back to Marriott stays after being bitten by the hard and ugly bite of last year's merger with Starwood Hotels. My preference was always a Starwood branded hotel over Marriott, but now they rule the world! This is one of the best Fairfield's in the Midwest. This is an update from my last review. Room was much cleaner and either new carpet or much better housekeeping. Refrigerator in room but no microwave. Only one and it's in the lobby. Shuttle driver was great and very friendly. Still not a great location unless going to the ball park. Very few food options nearby. Gym is lacking a bit. Very small pool and workout area. Also very warm. Maybe some weights would be nice. Only 2 treadmills and an elliptical machine. Breakfast is average. read more

A decent Marriott brand in NoDo. Friendly staff that I have met and different than what I am used to. Tucked in behind the Tiptop Ford building they have a nuance of vagrants that make their way around the area hotels. A fantastic choice the hotel is very new and well maintained. -breakfast (made early during my visit for the runners) -shuttle to/from airport and ANYWHERE WITHIN 3 MILES OF THE HOTEL! its like free taxi. -located next to downtown, quest center, old town market... -business center -fitness center its got it all. most importantly, the customer service is excellent. not one bad experience from the entire staff the entire weekend. highly recommended! read more

Location is not the best, but they do offer a shuttle to downtown if you do not want to drive there. The breakfast is about average for a free one at this level of hotel. I wanted to try all the Marriott hotels in the area and this one is the lowest of the three I have stayed at in Omaha. Room was OK, but the location is somewhat noisy at times and the heater was just OK. The elevator is pretty slow for a four level hotel with two of them. Internet was decent and only had one minor drop issue during my stay. The exercise room is really lacking as it had two treadmills and an elliptical. I like the bikes personally. Staff was friendly and the hotel is kept in decent condition. If you cannot get into the other Marriott hotels or really want a free breakfast then this is a good option for you. I liked using the entrance on 16th as it seemed the easiest to use. read more

This place, I can't compliment this hotel, their staff enough. I am over the moon about the service I received and am so grateful for everyone at this location. I blocked hotel rooms at this location for my wedding. About 80 of my guests were traveling to Nebraska for our wedding and we all stayed here. Not only did my traveling guests book rooms but so did most of my in state guests. To start they were able to book enough rooms for my party AND come to find out later there was another wedding staying there the same night. Goodness, I could go on and on, but let me hit the highlights. They were able to help me book an additional room for my bachelorette party two nights before and book a last minute extra room for some guests who arrived earlier than expected. The price was reasonable and they were so kind to my guests. The manager I spoke with to plan everything was so kind and did all she could to make it a stress free experience for me. As a fun side note since we all pretty much stayed at this hotel I didnt have anyone to take the top of my cake home to put in their freezer so I could wrap it and eat it a year later. The front desk employee swept in and said yes they could spare space in the employee freezer for me. I came back to this hotel at midnight with the top of my cake in a box, handed it over to the front desk woman and knew my cake would be safe until the next day. This was a great experience, my wedding was perfect, and sleeping here was the best! read more

This is such a magnificent hotel, I had the pleasure of meeting Kenneth the asst. general manager and Tim the general manager and they are exceptional!! Karen and sharon( I pray I have the names correct) were the best staff I have had the pleasure to meet. First off we were greeted with the best service upon our arrival. We didn't want for anything during our stay. Kenneth went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. I can't say enough great things about this staff. My company sends me to Omaha often and when they do they set us up at this particular hotel. There really aren't any restaurants around but the hotel shuttle can take you to the Old Market, which is an area full of restaurants and little shops. The rooms are spacious and nice. Also, the internet is pretty fast. The only complaint I have is the loud train that comes through, other than that this hotel is a great choice. read more

There is a shuttle which is helpful as everything is too far to walk to especially when it is cold and rainy as it was during our stay March 25th through the 27th. Breakfast was good. What an exceptional customer service I had experience with Cherokee! It was late at night when I realize that I actually left my vanity kit last week when I stayed at this hotel. I asked her if they have it and she said yes. Unfortunately, it was her first night and she don't know the code where they kept their lost and found items. Understandable.. so she said, she'll put together some stuff for me when I come down. When I got to the front desk, she had a cute goodie bag ready for me. I opened it, it has toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, razor, shaving cream, hairspray, deodorant and etc. Mind to tell you, All I ask for is if they have a toothbrush and toothpaste to get me through the night and she gave me more than I ask for!! About a mile-ish from Old Market. FREE shuttle can take you there. Category 4 Marriott property means if you have the Marriott card you can stay at this property for FREE once a year. Clean rooms, friendly staff and a FREE breakfast. The bed is a little uncomfortable and the walls seem quite thin as we heard people on both sides of us talking and showering. We could hear doors slamming all night long and train whistles blowing too. The worst was the obnoxiously loud heater/air conditioning unit that ran so loud all night. The bed and all the noise make it so I wouldn't stay here again. I wish that weren't the case as we really liked all the other aspects. read more

Hotel staff is very friendly and nice. Free Wi-fi in room, beds are comfortable, complimentary breakfast (fruit, juice, breakfast sandwiches, muffins, coffee, etc...) and the hotel will drive you to nearby restaurants. There is a restarant/bar across the parking lot in the Holiday Inn (Union Pizzaria) and the food is good. Also, a free drink inside of the bar (compliments of the hotel). I've been shuttled to a restaurant/brewery in town called "Upstream" and the food was fantastic! There is also a fitness center (cardio closet) and an indoor swimming pool. read more

Overall a decent experience. Rooms are modern looking and very clean. Hotel was quiet. We did have someone try to come into our room because front desk gave him the wrong room number. Pool was closed for maintenance during our stay. Overall a comfortable stay, nothing terrible, but nothing exceptional. We didn't use the workout facility (24 hour) or have the continental breakfast, so I can't speak to those other than to say that both are available. Also has free internet. read more

This place is in a shady part of town. It's really close to downtown and TD Ameritrade Ball Park, but it's on the rough edge of the district. There is a big lack of amenities near the hotel. I had to go almost a mile to the nearest gas station, and there aren't many restaurants nearby. However, it's new, and very clean, with nice rooms, a great free breakfast, and a tidy pool. read more

I've stayed in hotels around the world, and I've never had better customer service anywhere. They worked hard to get our large party into the right rooms, and went above and beyond many times, including finding uber rides. The rooms are average, but certainly adequate. The breakfast is good, and the breakfast space very nice for hanging out with your group. I will return here whenever I come back to Omaha. read more

We have been at this hotel several times this month and it is under construction but they continue to place the crew directly above roomed where LOUD constructions is being done. On 1 occasion I was moved 3 times. I have spoken to management about this but have given up because nothing is done and they continue to put crews right next to the noise. It can not be a coincidence that where ever the crews are being placed time and time again and in different locations of the hotel that is the adjacent rooms that are being worked on unless it's an entire floor at a time. Either way a hotel should NOT be selling rooms if the room can NOT be used to sleep in due to noise! And to continue to do so time after time even after they are receiving complaints is just wrong and obviously about the greed of selling as many rooms as possible with out concern for guests comfort. read more

My fiance and I chose this hotel for our guest accommodations because it was decently priced at $99/night and offered breakfast and a free shuttle. Once the block of rooms was booked the sales director who had helped me took FOREVER to respond to my questions. At one point I sent 2 e-mails and waited over a month...Some e-mails she just never responded to all together. The night of our wedding my husband called to request a shuttle come pick us up after the reception and the woman was so rude telling him that a shuttle had just been there and that they could possibly send another one but that we had better be outside because this was the last one of the night. The reason we hadn't been on the previous shuttle was because not all of our guests had left the reception yet, and therefore neither could we. When we booked the block of rooms we were never given a limit on when/what time we could call for a shuttle or how many shuttles we could have (we only used two). Then, on the way to the hotel my husband called again inquiring about how late they served room service and the same rude lady said "well you could get room service if we actually had it. we don't have a restaurant or grill, maybe you should go to one of the other hotels." The positives of the hotel was the man at the front desk when we checked out because he was nice and the process was easy. We also were given a free suite because we had 15+ guests book rooms, so that was nice. None of the positive aspects of the hotel though made up for the lack of customer service we received. I would definitely recommend choosing another hotel in the area. read more

Horrible experience... I should note..I have stayed at this location in the past while visiting realities with no problems..although a person I was traveling with had their truck vandalized..about 3 1/2 yrs earlier ..On Sept 13 and 14 2016 I stayed at this location only to have ants in the first room they gave me ..then bed bugs and spiders in the room they moved me to ..It was the most horrific experience..not knowing bugs are crawling on you until you awake and find the bites all over which get worse as time goes. I did tell the staff when I left..they reimbursed my rooms...I want people to know so this doesn't happen again..I also emailed corporate two times..no response room 135 ...I have the pictures to go with this nightmare stay!!!!! read more

Excellent super great customer service from every aspect of the business from front desk staff, housekeeping, the staff that picked me up from the airport to management. Back in April I went to Omaha for the first time and I just returned a few days ago to send my daughter off to college@ Creighton University. The assistant general manager Vernita Kosalka remembered my name from the previous visit and welcome me back. She drove me along with my daughter and all our billion luggage to the dorm at the university, waited patiently with us and help us find the hall to find someone to let us into the dorm. She followed up with us to make sure we are ok and to remind us that we can call for the shuttle to take us back to the hotel. I had a problem at a restuarant in the area from the previous visit and she straighthen out the problem on my behind. I have never met a nicer, supportive, friendly and enthusiastic staff of personnel as I have met at Fairfield Inn. The room was extremely clean, the breakfast was hot and taste great, any ammenities that i need they were there to provide the service without any problem. Mark and Travisra that work there also help me navigate Omaha to find the old market and other things. Since my daughter is a freshman there I will be staying there atleast 6 times a year and they will have my business. I have recommended Fairfield Inn to all the freshman parents I met at Creighton that was staying some where else and I want everyone to come and enjoy the great service they have to offer. They make customer service #1 priority and put a personal approach to every situation and treat you like family instead of a stranger staying in their hotel. I love them.
