We stayed one night in this Fairfield Hotel after arriving late into Columbus John Glenn Airport. The hotel clerk was nice and friendly and the hotel is nice. They have a bar with plenty of seating and they offer breakfast in the morning. There is an indoor swimming pool and an outdoor patio for lounging. Our room was on the first floor with a king size bed, room bathroom with a large shower. The location is pretty perfect as it's just beyond the car rental garage and it is a short driving distance to restaurants in the area. We didn't try the breakfast, bar, pool or any of the other amenities as we arrived after 9pm and we left the next day around 8:30am. This is a good choice if you are looking for a nice hotel near the airport. read more

BEWARE!! DO NOT STAY HERE!! Our car was broken into in the back parking lot while staying here. They offer a park and go option that is clearly not safe or Monitored by hotel staff. The window was busted out. Luckily we don't keep anything in our car for them to steal. We weren't even notified until we pulled up and saw the police had taped up our window. So disappointed in Fairfield Inn and Suites! read more

Airport walking distance and rental car as well. The bad is that there is no food near here. The McDonald's is trash and should close but that's the only option. The rooms were clean and there isn't much to be said bad except for of course the tail wipe. It's harder than the earths core and glad I bring my own Charmin extra soft to comfort my tail. read more

Clean, accommodating, with a nice breakfast option and shuttle to Columbus International Airport, I'd definitely recommend this hotel. It's not luxury, but it's perfectly reasonable when you need an overnighter before an early morning flight, or at the end of the day. read more

Fairfield Inn & Suites is a convenient choice for visitors traveling to and from the airport. In fact, there is a large screen in the hotel lobby with flight information including status and gate information. I found the rooms and overall property to be very clean. The hot breakfast consists of eggs, sausage, and waffles. Also available are typical continental breakfast items like fruit, yogurt, and pastries. There is a bar located inside the hotel which has a variety of beer, wine, and spirits. They offer free bar snacks (Gardetto's snack mix) and a limited selection of bar appetizers like mozzerella sticks and potato skins. Fairfield Inn & Suites is the closest hotel to the airport (It took about 8 minutes to walk here. I later found out there is a free airport shuttle to and from the airport.) Although proximity to the airport is a plus, proximity to anything else is a negative. There is absolutely nothing else around so you would need to drive/Uber to get to any restaurants, shopping, etc. That's about the only negative though. read more

I would never stay here again. Walkable from the airport which is nice or they have a shuttle. The room at check in is fine but everything after that goes downhill. The breakfast is the worst combination of prefab food, in plastic, sitting in warming drawers. This is no longer COVID, this is lazy. Next, although there is a coffee pot in the room getting actual coffee for it is a huge challenge. Literally, I asked the front desk, who claimed they had none, if a pod could be taken from a vacant room. Jerk behind the desk said "what if someone checked in?" and I am thinking what about the person standing in front of you that has already checked in? Then the room service comes about every other day and takes all the used bathmats, towels and washcloths and doesn't leave any replacements behind - and also doesn't leave any coffee. As a frequent traveler I don't expect perfection but this experience was bizarre. Oh, and don't try to speak to a Manager, they don't exist, I tried. read more

We came from out of town for a wedding--called ahead and expressed that we would appreciate an earlier check in so that we could make it on time. We arrived an hour and half early, notified that we had arrived and asked if we could check in early. We had to get ready in the lobby--my elderly grandma had to curl her hair in the lobby of the hotel. There was no rush to help us get to our room. We kept asking and they kept saying, "our room is currently being cleaned" numerous times. For how much a room here is, I would never recommend to a friend coming into Columbus. Added: Overnight staff was lovely. Big, nice rooms. Best breakfast that we've ever had at a hotel. read more

We enjoyed our stay here for the most part. It was as expected for a Fairfield as far as the room set up and lobby style. The room was a bit dusty in the corners and behind the bed and night tables. The bathroom and fridge/microwave was clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet at night even by the airport. The breakfast was slow to be re-filled on a Sunday. We'd stay again if needed but have had better experiences at other Marriott hotels read more

The entire reason for staying near the airport is to take the shuttle to the airport. Upon check-in we were told to be in the lobby 15 min before we needed the shuttle. We arrived in the lobby at 4:30am. We waited 15 min and a shuttle arrived only to have just 1 seat available for 4 people waiting in the lobby. The front desk said there was only 1 shuttle which meant we would wait another 15+ min for it to return. We were told we could walk on the sidewalk to the terminal and get there in 6 minutes. That's all fine except it was windy, cold and raining! In times of higher demand they should have more than 1 shuttle running. No one can wait 30 minutes for the shuttle and since it services 2 hotels it might be full again before returning. We walked to the airport so we would be on time. This is unacceptable. read more

Great place to stay overnight to catch that early morning flight. Room was nice, clean and fresh. Only 1 wash cloth in the whole bathroom but it was just me for the night. Internet was a little slow and I inquired at the desk. They said they'd call the service and when I returned to the room it was acting normal. Shuttle runs 3am - midnight and will take you anywhere in a 5 mile radius including many restaurants, bars and such. You can't leave your car at any of the hotels on the airport grounds. The hotels are only allowed to offer guests free parking for the night of their stay. If you want free parking during your trip you have to use a hotel outside of the airport. read more

Absolutely lived staying here before catching a very early flight. Rooms empecable and beds comfy. Nice open beverage bar offering coffee, tea, cocoa, and fruit infused water 24-7. Nice bar for a coctail before bed. The staff very friendly and efficient. Offers a shuttle on demand within 5 mile area..soo no car need a bite to eat...no problem.. We used thier park n fly package.. So shuttled to front door and picked up upon arrival. Very convenient. Will definitely use thier services again. read more

We stayed here recently because my dad was one of several veterans taking the Honor Flight to Washington DC. I have to say that the front desk associate, Tamila (I hope I'm spelling this correctly) was wonderful. She was very kind and welcoming. She answered all of our questions about the shuttle and timing for the morning. She made sure to let her co-worker, Cheryl, know how early the flight was so that the veterans could eat breakfast. Miss Cheryl was also very kind and took extra care to prepare breakfast and keep plenty of hot coffee ready. The hotel itself was very clean. It was a great place to stay with the airport shuttle so readily available. read more

Great hotel! Very clean. Very friendly staff. Flight was cancelled due to weather so we had to find a quick hotel stay. Price was reasonable for one night. The best part was Pamela the hotel manager was GREAT! She made us feel so welcomed and even open the bar for a bit since it was closed on a Sunday. She made us popcorn as we sat in the lounge lobby area watching TV. She even let us have a later than usual check out since our next flight wasn't until late that afternoon. The shuttle driver Chuck was very friendly since he drove us to and from a bar restaurant then to the airport. Great people and great hotel! Thank you Pamela for everything you did for us. You definitely went above and beyond. read more

Bed Bugs. Go to another hotel, trust me. I received 20+ itchy bites and have bed bugs previously at another Marriott hotel. If you get mosquito looking bites, you likely got bed bugs. The disappointing part is the response from the hotel. 1. They acted like it was normal. 2. They did not offer to wash my clothes and bags. 3. They comped only 1 of 2 nights. I think the Marriott can afford comping both nights for the hassle these bugs cause. Marriott needs to step up their game on the bed bug front. They have no standard process for how to resolve the issue and honestly wouldn't surprise me if they booked the room again. Stay away from this hotel. read more

James at the front desk is the best! While checking in tonight I suffered a severe coughing attach! Very rude concierge. I called to ask if I booked a night for my elderly mother, whether she could leave her car there while she traveled out to see me. Usually a traveler stays the night then leaves their car, and I said I'd be happy to prepay the one night she needs to stay on her return. The guy I spoke to completely shut me down and was really rude about it. Not necessary. read more

giving 1 star for this reason. We left a bag of clothes in the room when we checked out...no biggie I have stayed at Marriott's for over 20 yrs. Told my wife to call real quick and we pay for shipping to our house (its happened before). 1st call the front desk rep (Holly we recall) was rude and said they don't have it and she was sorry (without checking the room btw). Asked for her manager who said she would check the room and call back. She did 30 mins later and said the room was cleaned and no bag was left, she was also sorry but offered no solution (No shit right, housekeeping cleaned the room). Wife was upset so I said call on Monday and ask for housekeeping manager. She did and he said he would check with the 1 who cleaned the room and get back to us. GUESS WHAT? They found the bag and everything was in it but my son's baseball jersey and 2 OSU t-shirts. Wonder how those items walked out of the bag.......They mailed the rest back but come on, steal 3 items and rude to a loyal Marriott Gold member. Other than that, clean hotel read more

It's new, it's not 100 percent clean and the staff, while mostly nice are still trying to find what to do. A lot of them have no idea what customer service means. For instance the check in clerk was awesome but we asked the front desk manager to adjust our rate to show the AAA rate and we were put through the third degree. As a lifetime plat. member I have never been asked condescending questions like this front desk manager asked in the manner she asked. Finally she knew I wasn't snowing her so I got the adjustment and I hope she felt better trying to be "boss" in front of her employees. Very disrespectful to the customer. Workout room, tv's don't work on either of the bikes. One on right is intermittent ,bike on left didn't work. Machines are dirty despite people are supposed to clean them themselves. No housekeeping evident in there... furthermore, no housekeeping on my floor in the hallways. It was evident the hall was not vacuumed, with flecks of lint and paper, kleenex tissues and "things" being left for over the 2 days I was there. The outdoor gas fire pit is a nice touch but you allow people to use it as an ashtray and it's trashy. Why would you allow smoking and throwing butts into the flames? a sign on one of the doors says it's a smoke free hotel, I guess that doesn't mean the area that other guests want to enjoy without smoke, like the fire pit. The bus driver, shuttle driver needs to find a new place to lean on while waiting for people to drive. The breakfast was fine, location is great, cleanliness IN the room was ok but .... My take on the fairfield brand is they're trying to make this the new courtyard. The newness, the layouts are great, it's a bed and breakfast rate and it's a clean lean concept. But the price point being low will need to raise up as the people you're getting are trashing the place, smoking in the fire pit, dropping crap and not taking care of the place and attracting red roof customers. just my humble opinion. read more

I've become a regular guest here and it's an excellent place to stay! The front desk crew is top notch - Pam, Tanita, Holly... They will all get you what you need to have a great stay. (Pam also doubles as the heavy handed barmaid for the lovely pub located in the lobby.) Walking distance from the airport but also offering free shuttle service in a five mile radius, the hotel is located conveniently near two major shopping districts and the John Glenn. Twenty four hour gym, a heated pool, free parking for guests.. this place really has it all! The rooms are clean and plenty of food delivery options nearby. (There is no restaurant in the hotel, but the lobby is spacious and well appointed so it's a great place to share a meal with friends.) If you are looking for ANY length or type of stay -- and you want rock star treatment, then look no further than this high value hotel! Five Stars! read more

As a platinum elite member, I have stayed in a lot of Marriott hotels all over the world. This is the first time I have had a stay where the elevators were broken (and the front desk person could have cared less). I was given an itinerary for check-in to this hotel by my employer who sent me to Columbus for work reasons. After a 14 hour day, I arrived at the hotel and once inside the lobby I handed my paperwork to the front desk clerk and explained I was told I had a room reserved and this is the document I have. The paperwork showed 1 room, 1 king bed, 1 night. Had an itinerary # on it and showed a balance that was marked PAID. The front desk looked at me like I had 3 heads and simply said, "I can't do anything with this paperwork." I asked the man to search my last name and no sooner than he did that and told me I wasn't a guest at their hotel, he walked off as if my issues were solved. A woman (who I think was the manager) approached a few moments later and I asked her for help and again searched my last name and kind of forcefully stated, NO ROOM AND WE'RE FULL. Now keep in mind I'm standing in their lobby in a dirty work uniform and boots with my company jacket on and company logo duffel bag. I certainly didn't look like a bum off the streets. I used my smart phone to connect with a 1-800 number for customer service since I was getting no support from the front desk. The person over the phone was very helpful and verified I had no secure lodging at the facility and found me another room nearby. The issue ended up being a clerical error on my employer's side, but the experience with the front desk of this hotel left me speechless. read more

Stayed here due to needing a shuttle to airport for early morning flight. The hotel staff were very nice. The room was nice and well equipped with a large bathroom. It was very soundproof. My major issue was regarding the shuttle which was my primary reason for choosing this airport. The shuttle service was to be available at 4am. The shuttle driver never showed so a group of us had to share a cab. Although the hotel paid for the cab, we arrived long after we had anticipated at a very busy airport with already long lines. If you need a hotel with a shuttle I would not recommend. Otherwise the hotel was fine. read more

I have stayed at this hotel many times but my last visit was terrible. It use to be a great airport hotel but the staff that use to treat customers as human beings have left. I didn't have hot water, the water barley got luke warm and the guy at the front desk came to my room and told me the water was hot, when I told him I though the was b.s.'ng me he threathened to throw me out and call the police. I told him the guy in the room next door also has no hot water and he backed off of throwing me out and calling the police. Keep in my mind, I only stay at Marriott hotels and am a Platinum member so I stay at Marriott hotels every week, well not anymore. I am done with Marriott, they dont give a shit about guests. Next day I dropped my car off at the airport and called the shuttle to pick me up, after 20 mins I called and asked if the shuttle was still coming I was told he was delayed in traffic several miles away and I could walk to the hotel or take a cab. The hotel is only 3 blocks from the airport but there was a torrential downpour of rain. They thought that was my problem. Avoid this shit hole at all costs. read more

This hotel built in 2014 is very clean and well kept up a year later! Front desk clerk was hospitable and friendly! The breakfast area was spacious and well kept clean. Always having food on the ready! There is a bar with great drinks from beer to liquor. The indoor swimming pool was great for the kids with towels at the pool so you didn't have to drag your room towels with you. The outside patio area was very pleasant with a stone long rectangular fire pit and comfy lounge chairs. The carpet throughout the hotel is very appealing to the eye, colorful and clean. The beds were comfy and towels plentiful. Had a very nice stay the accommodations should be rated a 4 star will stay here again. read more

Our early morning flight prompted us to stay close to the airport, and this inn is .2 miles to the terminal, situated overlooking a runway in the distance. Only 4 years old, the hotel is essentially new, well maintained with friendly helpful reception staff. Hotel van was available to take us either to the city or neighboring restaurants, and was ready to go at 4:00 AM as shuttle to the terminal. We required ADA accommodation, which could not have been better; nicely equipped bath with installed bench and full vanity counter not found in other handicapped facilities. Bravo, Marriott! This one's a winner! read more

Excellent stay here. The hotel was really nice and very clean. The staff is awesome. Sommer at the front desk is the best! My 6 year old daughter loved talking with her. The staff at this hotel is rude and inconsiderate. As a Marriott rewards member I was highly disappointed and will never stay here again.

Horrible experience because of lack of WiFi and inability of staff or print documentation to help. To be clear, I have two absolutely generic devices, a Microsoft Surface Pro and an Android phone. Both up to date. Have never had trouble with WiFi on either, not at home, in coffeeshops, airports, etc. I couldn't get either device to connect. The staff couldn't get either device to connect. The amenities booklet in the room gave a tech support number that was wrong. Finally staff connected me to tech support at an 800 number and they couldn't do it. At no point did anyone express regret for my inconvenience. Imagine if my room had a bed that was in a locked cage. My analogous experience would have been to complain that I couldn't get access to the bed. The staff would have said, yes, you can't seem to use the bed. But they didn't unlock the bed or give me a room with an unblocked bed. OR EVEN SAY IT'S TOO BAD YOU CAN'T USE THE BED. But at least all the staff described above tried. Then there was the desk clerk this morning who could not have been more anxious to have zero communication with me or to provide any service. I had to request my bill be printed. Then after she printed it, I had to request that she actually hand it to me. Just awful from start to finish. And then I get home and LOOK at the amenities bill and they charged me $20 for a perfectly ordinary (small) glass of wed wine that would have been overpriced at $8. read more
