Poorly insulated ceiling/floor interface, as we heard the person upstairs every time they moved through the room, including around 5 am (really loud). No regular television, only an opportunity to log in to your Netflix etc (or as my husband said "bring you own tv"). Clean in general. The plugs in the clock radio on the side of the bed didn't work either. Good thing though: Three free EV chargers! Charged our Model 3 to 99% saving us about $10 at a supercharger. read more

In today's time where most hotels no longer clean rooms until you checkout and have removed all customer services it was nice to see that they still clean every day. Breakfast was great, they served bacon every morning and had plenty of options to choose from. There was no cheap turkey bacon or turkey sausage like many other hotels only provide. I stopped overnight in Burley Idaho and found the Fairfield Inn. I wondered if it was open because only about 3 cars shared a large lot on a Sunday night. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly lady at the desk. I had a choice of rooms and took the 3rd floor. The price was quite reasonable for a hotel of this quality. My room was clean and comfortable. The TV worked well. The Wi-Fi worked well. The bathroom has no urinal for men to pee standing up. Using the sit down toilet to pee while standing creates a splash on my feet and knees. Plumbing for men is needed in hotels. It also has no bidet for personal cleanliness. Wanted to like this place, but some serious shortcomings. Pros: Clean, modern, up to date Away from the highway Wifi, flat screen, laundry, pool Cons: The beds are very very soft, difficult to get comfortable. Had to use pillows under my legs to save my back. Parking lot is lit up like a runway, and plenty of light bleeds into the room. Had to sleep with a pillow over my face, which is not all that comfortable. Breakfast is OK, but had to listen to Fox News having some heated argument about something, not exactly appetizing. Bottom line is, I'm here for a good night's sleep and didn't get one. At which point, I don't care about the amenities. read more

Very friendly man at the front desk who was willing to do whatever was needed to make our stay the best it could be. The hotel is nice, especially for the area. There was some construction in front of the hotel but not at all their fault! The only reason this hotel did not get the full 5 stars from me is because their pillows were very soft. So soft that I felt like my head was not on a pillow. I had to stack a couple together just to get some support. I would definitely stay here again if I happen to come to Burley. read more

BURLEY, ID: Got in late, after a long day of driving, and was delighted to discover a new-er Fairfield Inn. The staff was friendly, but a little slow. I dislike chatty check-ins when I'm tired. The lobby was clean and inviting. The room, like most lower-end Hilton's and Marriotts, was decorated to the lowest common denominator, but it was all new, which I love. It still had new hotel smell. The elevators were actually shiny. In the end I would have given four stars except the bed was not that great: the mattress was obviously of an economical quality with springs you could sense, and the bedding was a little sparse. I got a little bit cold during the night. I wasn't freezing or anything, just the covers weren't very thick. However, compared to every other hotel in Burley, this place is bangin. read more

I have enjoyed the standard of quality that staying at a Marriott Hotel usually assures. My stay at the Farfield Inn in Burley, Idaho didn't seem to have the same standards. -the dirty tub that had "personal" hair in it, -floor that was dirty. -furnishings that seemed worn and in need of a remodel. -"bagged breakfast" that was kinda like a slap in the face after the other variables we had to deal with. The front desk lady told me the "bagged breakfast" was due to Covid 19. We were in town with a large group- part of our group stayed at the best western and the other part stayed at the Hampton. We joined both parties at the hotels they were at and saw that both hotels had their hot breakfasts open with helpful attending ladies who assured social distancing and extra cleaning. The Fairfield Inn was the only hotel in town that didn't offer a hot breakfast. read more

This hotels staff were very pushy... :( the room was ok only problem was in the morning even though checkout is at noon they are trying to get me to leave by 10:00 am. maids waking me up wanting to clean the room so they can go home which is not my problem as a guest who paid over $100 to stay here for night I'm wanting to get all the time i can. Front desk calls asking if they should charge me for another night... umm No checkout is at noon and thats when I'm leaving I will not be staying here again there is much better options in the area that know how to respect their guests. read more

Manager stole $100 from me. Booked a room, thought I canceled. Didnt end up staying, still charged my card, and wouldn't even hear me out. Just took the money with no remorse. Will never book here again. What's funny is $100 was more important than a life time of going out of my way to stay at his hotel. I book 15 rooms every weekend for travel baseball during the summer months. I have never had a hotel just steal the money from my account and not even hear me out. Super nice, especially for this area. Staff is nice, rooms a large and have everything you need. I loved the pool and spa area even though, because it was a very hot day, it was packed. Also a very nice, clean fitness center with great working equipment. I'd stay here again anytime I had to stay over in this area. Admitedly my stay here was short but it met or exceeded my basic hotel requirements which is cleanlyness, not significantly close to a freeway or extremely busy roadway and a continental breakfast (or better). This hotel appeared to be relatively new in the area, thus making it's interior and furnishings modern, clean and overall comfortable. It's Burley, Idaho folks, you know there are much worse/rundown places to stay around there. This was a pleasure and welcome after a long day on the road and at work. read more

The wireless Internet was slow and I couldn't seal up the curtains enough to block the outside light. I had to leave super early and tried to go to bed before the sun set. I've stayed here at the Fairfield Inn a couple of times in Burley, ID and compared to other overnight-stay options, it is the best in the area. Definitely recommended. They have a medium sized, indoor pool (which I've never used) and a small-ish fitness room which I *have* used -- enjoyably. The bedrooms are equipped with comfy big beds, cable TV (which I've never used), hot showers and lot's of counter space in the bathrooms. Bathrooms have blowdryers and lot's of towels. Closet has hot iron, ironing board, luggage stand, and wooden hangers. Windows have sliding blackout curtains, but I bring a couple of binder clips to pinch the last 1/2 inch of center gap closed to block out light/ensure privacy. Bedroom doors are solid wood and secure with an internal deadbolt and that swiveling safety latch-thingy on the top edge. There are lots of lights in the room and enough plugs for all the gadgety things I need to plug in. Each room has a small fridge (w/ mini freezer) and a microwave. Beds are large and new. I prefer a firm mattress and have always found the beds to my comfort level. Pillows are squishy, but they provide 4 per bed (and provide more by request) so I've never felt at a lack for neck/knee/back support. The whole building feels new and clean. The lobby is sized for many people to meet/be comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is above average with lots of hot and cold options and everything tastes freshly prepared. There are keycard-accessed side entries at the ends of the wings, so you have lot's of easy access back and forth from the more-than-adequate parking lot. Staff is very friendly and work hard to accommodate requests. There is even a small "store" area in case there is something you can't live without. For planned needs, there is a Wal-Mart within a couple blocks. The Inn, itself, is removed from the main road and backs up against an agricultural field so road noise isn't really an issue. Cons: (1) Internal NOISE. The first time I stayed here I roomed next to a mechanical closet which had a loud something that would start up each night in the middle of the night and disrupted my sleep. This latest time I stayed there I was on the second floor (away from the mechanical room) but the careless plodders in the 3rd floor rooms and hallway sound like someone is banging a bass drum above one's head. Again, disruptive to sleep. (2) Poor Internet. I've never gotten the Internet to work in this hotel either via WiFi or the supplied ethernet cable in the room. Bottom line: best in area. Lots of extras. recommended. I would stay here again (just bring earplugs) read more

After being on the road for 5 hours non stop due to treacherous road conditions, we arrived at the Burley Fairfield Inn. I parked right in front so I could run in, use the restroom and check in. I had called a few hours before to be sure they had space. I was told they only had 2 check ins for the night. Last night we stayed at Fairfield Inn in Moab, UT, which was wonderful from staff to room to breakfast. Unfortunately, as i passed through the double doors before I got a few steps the woman at the counter with short grey hair called to me asking if I was checking in. I told her I would be but I had to use the restroom first. My 14 yr old and I were badly in need of those facilities. She then loudly asked if we had a dog. I said yes, he is an E.S.A and I would talk to her when I got done with the restroom. As I walked out of the restroom before I even got 10 feet to the registration desk, the woman called across the lobby to me telling me we couldn't stay there. I approached closer, not quite at the counter and told her we stayed at Fairfield Inn in Moab last night and my Father's E.S.A. has an I.D. She asked what an E.S.A. is and I told her it is an Emotional Support Animal. She said we don't take 'comfort' dogs only registered service or therapy animals. Before I explained he has a letter from the Veteran's Administration and a photo registered ID she told me we couldn't stay there. That was that and we left. I called customer service because I really like Fairfield and Marriott but not after today. First of all, you don't call out a customer across the lobby, totally unprofessional. Second, there were only a few cars in the parking lot and according to the person who answered the phone 3 hours earlier, they had a ton of open rooms. The parking lot was not snow plowed either. As we left we drove right out of their driveway and entered the Best Western Plus, Burley. They were busy and yet treated every guest with a kind, professional manner. Sorry Fairfield you just lost a customer. When I called Customer Care they contacted the Burley location and spoke to the woman at the desk. She told the agent she knew I had a dog because he was whining when we came in. I have above normal hearing, when I walked through those doors, he was not barking or whining. He is a little cockapoo and doesn't do anything when in a room. I told the customer care agent to check with the Moab location. No one would have known he was there if we had been allowed to get beyond the lobby. He was in the car and none of this made sense except that I am not white and look pretty ragged today after a long drive at 35mph while following my 75 yr old Father in our Uhual moving truck with car trailer. We have 800 miles to go and a few more hotels to stay in, Fairfield won't be one of them. I run my own business and travel a lot, Marriott just lost a loyal customer with their inability to address this immediately or effectively. I will be telling everyone to bypass Fairfield Inn and go to Best Western Plus when on the road with limited options. Really sad service or lack of. Explains why Best Western Plus has a packed parking lot while Fairfield Burley looked empty. read more

This hotel was very lovely. They had a very nice continental breakfast with some things available to microwave. The hotel was very clean and quiet. I brought my bicycle in to the hotel and the front desk agent offered to keep it in the office for me overnight so I wouldn't have to struggle getting it up the elevator and to my room. The night front desk lady Becky was anything but nice..... But moving past first impressions, The room was very nice it had DirecTV a microwave and a refrigerator. The room we stayed in was handicap accessible so I think it may have been a bit larger. The pool and the Jacuzzi are both very clean and nice. You do get a complimentary breakfast in the morning, it is your typical hotel breakfast. The price was what you would expect it to be when there are no other hotels around. It was quiet which is nice so you can get a good nights rest before a long drive the next day. I would have given it four stars except for my experience at check-in. read more

We stayed just one night, but would stay here again if we ever needed a place in the area. Friendly staff, clean room...and GREAT cable TV service! Over 100 digital channels, many in hi-def, and every conceivable premium channel I have ever seen...HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Encore, Starz...all of them were available, and again, many of them in hi-def and all of them for FREE!!! How awesome! Room was a little cramped, and the climate control system a bit loud, but we were still quite pleased with our visit. I'd recommend them to family & friends. read more

The hotel was good. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. The downside for me was the construction - I didn't think this culd still be going on since the last post was June - I was wrong and it is a hassle. I like the hotel just fine, if I could move it out of Burley I would since I wouldn't recommend staying in Burley if you can avoid it. But if you can't help being in Burley, this is a good place to stay. If you are sightseeing, consider Ketchum or Sun Valley - sweet! read more

Clean and nice room. Very helpful and kind staff. Breakfast not so good. The eggs were horrible - they were hard and tasteless. My husband saw staff pour them into a serving container from a plastic bag. I don't think they were 100% egg - maybe powered? Not sure. I do know that I was sick after eating them. read more
