I have been woefully remiss in a review of this awesome Doctor who I first started using back in…read more2018 when I was referred by my primary Ortho Virginia Doctor to help fix a Bakers Cyst and very recently for a PRP to my shoulder, hoping to avoid surgery. Dr Antonis describes himself as "registered diagnostic medical sonographer with a special interest in ultrasound point-of-care exams and ultrasound-guided procedures, including platelet-rich plasma and newer orthobiologic agents, to augment healing" and he has become my go to Doctor for issues that are out of the scope of my regular Orthopedic surgeon . Back in 2018 I could not run or walk and Dr Antonis fixed my issues taking care to show me the issue using ultrasound and then on the dates of procedure took great care using needles to get the fluid out. I am back jogging. So, when my MRI recently came back with arthritis and a tear in my shoulder, it was a choice between surgery or visiting Dr Antonis who I immediately requested take a look and when I did, he thought (as my own primary care doctor did) that this procedure could help with pain relief. Before the procedure, one of his staff Amy O'Masta ,a Certified and Licensed Athletic Trainer and a critical resource to me, sat down and took the time to explain the process, procedure very patiently and once the procedure is agreed upon (remember Dr Antonis has to agree the procedure is beneficial) Amy is so very helpful with follow-up questions and procedures. As a certified trainer she was invaluable to coordinating with my PT folks providing both the necessary paperwork, prescriptions to take before and after and explaining what the patient should be doing. From week to days, you are left with clear instructions. On the day of the procedure, I had also arranged for my wife to be checked for the opposite shoulder and we both showed up to their new really nice office around the corner from the old. Parking is provided and the office was easy to locate. On check-in, it was easy and since I had to be hydrated, the front office staff provided water. When we both were brought in, my wife wentt first and Dr Antonis was able to visually able to show her what was going on and gave her some alternatives (like me) to surgery. My wife, who hates medicine of any kind, felt very reassured by Dr Antonis and opted to take a cortisone shot for relief. She did not feel pressured in any way (to the contrary). While this was going on, my blood was being drawn by a nurse (really nice) Before my procedure Amy again explained in great detail and showed me visually what was about to happen. On the procedure itself, while I was really nervous, Dr Antonis took great care and time (even turning on music from the 70s) explaining every step of the procedure in real time. Having him continually speaking, and letting me know what I was about to feel was really helpful finishing this procedure. He was assisted by Meghan who was great. After the procedure Dr Antonis again ensured I was comfortable and started exercising my hand to keep blood flowing. He really is an outstanding Doctor. Amy then took over and as a certified trainer, showed me the exercises I should be following both at home and at PT. She took her time and ensured we had all the information we needed before leaving. I follow-up in 4 weeks and hope this procedure will help me avoid surgery. A big thank you to Dr Antonis, Meghan and especially Amy (big kudos). If you have any sports issues or ones I mentioned above, I highly recommend seeing Dr Antonis for a second opinion and to perform the procedure if you qualify. He is outstanding and one of a very few Doctors who shows such empathy with his patients.

We were sent to this location after a work accident for my fiancé who had a broken wrist and ankle…read more He was referred to Dr. Gaski from the ortho at the trauma center we were at just due to the complexity of his injury. From the moment we met Dr. Gaski he has been a pleasure to work with. He is attentive, answers all our questions, and has great bedside manner. The African American x-ray tech is absolutely amazing we hit it off with him from the beginning just due to his personality. His x-ray room is also nice and calming with the lights. I gave 4 stars due to the front office staff. When we arrived for our first appointment they were missing paperwork from the WC company and didn't even have him in their system even though we had a confirmation of appointment from the insurance. This caused a lot of undue stress for my fiancé after just being released weeks before after being in the hospital for a month. I believe this error should of been caught and taken care of before we arrived at the appointment. Luckily our rep from the insurance was there to fix this error for us otherwise they were going to cancel our appointment after we just drove for an hour to get here. also At the end of this appointment we scheduled our next follow-up. I called the week prior like i normally due just to confirm appointments since we are seeing so many doctors. I was informed then that they had no follow-up appointment scheduled for us. How did this happen when I scheduled it with the front desk before we left for our last appointment..smh So luckily they could get us in but it was at 8am instead of the 11am we requested the first time which caused us to have to get up at 5am to ensure we made it there on time because again we are driving for an hour to get here. Overall, everyone in the back has been amazing and very helpful if we needed something (notes, etc.). I believe the front desk staff could learn to be a little more proactive and friendly. However, the overall experience was good.

I came here for follow ups from the ER & to get casted. They were fantastic and had (and still do) all safety measures in place. I also came here for PT, but that's a separate review. Now I am back with my son who sprained his ankle. Yep, *sigh* Dr. Creech is a foot & ankle specialist and let me just tell you, she is AWESOME! She was very thorough, highly skilled & knowledgeable, & had a great manner about her; she & my son were engaged in fun and friendly banter & I enjoyed watching it. He felt really great being in her care, which was wonderful to see from a parent perspective. If you need any kind of medical device to assist with your healing, they have it and they have a casting room should you need a cast. My son needed a boot to transition him off his crutches and they fitted him right then & there & we hobbled out with his new boot on! We also got the step down ankle brace at his follow up. They have one of their physical therapy offices sharing the floor with them so should you need any PT it's super convenient. The entire staff is really wonderful here! If you need any kind of orthopedic needs I would definitely highly recommend this practice without hesitation!

My friend bought a Groupon for a therapeutic massage but it was not soothing or therapeutic at all. Highlights: -Old lady masseuse farted next to her face -Room was not dimmed and cold -Sheet was paper thin and awkward (especially with the cold room) -No massage oil or strokes, just pressure points, even after repeated requests -Left the room mid-session, leaving the door wide open for the lobby to have a view of the paper thin sheet -Requested to end the massage early because it was so bad, and the masseuse just walked out, once again with the door wide open... Leaving a naked person on the table to get up and close the door, giving the lobby a full frontal show In sum- terrible. Don't waste your money.

I've had work on back, shoulder, neck, etc. Results are always obvious after a course of treatment -- less or no pain, increased range of motion, increased strength -- everything measured before/after a course of treatment has improved. I mostly see therapist Skib; he's great. Receptionist Brenda is also great/helpful -- friendly and quick booking/changing appointments. Plus plenty easy/free parking next to building -- all-around the go-to place for PT.

Apparently, according to this doctor's RateMDs.com reviews, and other Commonwealth Orthopaedics reviews on Yelp.com, waiting for long periods of time is a standard more than a deviation. These aren't walk-in clinics. You set up an appointment with a specific time and date and still have to wait an average of one hour, in our case, 1.5 hours for our first visit. I would wait, without complaint, for excellent bedside manner and respectful attention -- no problem. We selected Dr. Kathleen McHale because she is one of only a handful of doctors in the DC area whose primary emphasis is on pediatric orthopedics. She walked in with an unidentified man, there were no introductions and no questions were asked of the child who came in with chronic pain. The diagnosis was rendered in short order and we were sent on our way in no less than five minutes.
