There were some key decisions I had not even considered - type of button, type of cuff, whether to have the collar stiffeners sewn in - and Brad walked me through all of those points. You're going to pay more than you would at Brooks Brothers or Charles Tyrwhitt but you're going to get a custom fit. Brad measures your neck, shoulders, chest, waist, shoulder spread, and arms. I may be forgetting a measurement! But if you want the shirt to look just like it was made for you this is the way to do it. Brad shared tons of fabric swatches for suits and shirts. The majority of the suits he crafts are 150s and 180s which are very soft and durable. You can even get 200s merino wool if you want a more luxurious suit. We went to Macy's and Nordstrom's to see if I could buy anything off the shelf.......nothing. I found Ole mason Jar Clothier online and walked the few blocks to their wonderful store. We were greeting by Brad and Filipe and explained my dilemma. Now think about this for a moment........I asked them at 11:00 am if there was any chance that I could buy a suit and just have the pants altered or pinned up for a wedding that was happening that day at 5:00 pm. The answer was "Yes, we can make that happen." I was shocked. Filipe asked what size I was and I answered a 46 regular........Brad looked at me and said put him in a 44 reg. It fit better than any suit I have ever owned. All of their clothes are their own brand and designed by them. Their material, stitching, and cut, were beautiful. I was measured and handed the suit back to Filipe. He bolted to the seamstress. My wife and I had lunch and the suit was ready in less that 2.5 hours. As one of my first experiences purchasing products from a business reopening during Covid I must tell you that it was such a grand experience. I travelled to Charlotte on business and visited Paul Simon. I shopped at Paul Simon about 5 years ago and was impressed with their staff and selection. I ended up purchasing a Corneliani suit and having it shipped to me after alterations. Chris was a big help and made sure the alterations were going to be perfect. This is a great store that provides top priority to their customers and does a nice job understanding exactly what you are looking for. I can send photos of the brands they carry and now that they have my measurements, I can easily have the goods mailed to me.
