What a great experience! the inns we stayed were very nice, made lunch for us daily, and the drivers who met us at the train, then took our bags to next inn were fun to talk with, regarding local attractions. We would definitely recomend Mac's Adventures, they made our experience memorable. Now Feb. 2026 we are tomorrow planning our next adventure with Mac's in Porto Portugal for Sept. 2026. My Brother's previous positive experience on the West Highland Way (Scotland) got Gayle and I interested in our own lodge-to-lodge walking tour. We chose "Cotswolds in Comfort" which was 6 days and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. And everything was so interesting and gorgeous. Yes, it rained on the first day and we walked through a lot of mud. Macs Adventure can't control that, but the other stuff that they could manage, went off almost flawlessly. That included excellent accommodations, efficient luggage transfer, pre-trip information, and a walking app that kept us on our paths and never lost. Actually, we did wander off once to avoid mud, and the app did show us where we could get back on path. We're now talking about where our next Macs Adventure walking tour might be. France? Germany? New Zealand? Switzerland? Stay tuned!

The price was excellent for a three-hour tour. We were originally scheduled for a tour a few days later but rain was in the forecast so Tom let me and my husband switch to an earlier day. It was almost 100° out the day we had our tour, so we appreciated the frequent stops to make sure we were drinking enough water and staying hydrated. He brought a ton of water for each of us and was constantly asking if we needed more water. He also brought sunscreen. With all of our frequent stops our tour ran almost an hour late. That wasn't a problem because we didn't have anything else scheduled afterward, but we were starving because our tour started at 10:00 and ended at 2:00. I would rather have started the tour at 9:00 instead so we could have finished earlier. But I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the Denver area. It really helped us to get to know the city better and find our way around.

Devon is such a wonderful tour guide; incredibly accommodating and professional. He was really informative about the area. Stopped to let me get a close look at elk and even a moose. We had a lovely lunch at a cafe at the top of the mountains. I loved the weather, it was 80 when we left, then it rained, then it hailed, then it snowed! On the way back, Devon casually tosses out, "Do you like pie?" WHO doesn't like pie?! He stopped at a little place he knows where a woman in her 80's makes homemade pie (Colorado Cherry Company), but unfortunately, it was closed (so whe had to stop for ice cream further down the road). Devon and I talked throughout the entire tour (which was about 7 hours) about books and our love for animals and nature and our lives; as we drove through some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere. It was one of those few days in my life that I will remember and cherish; when you have a great connection with both nature and with another kindred spirit.

We booked 2 tours with him. Pike's Peak/Garden of the Gods 9-19-20 & Rocky Mountain National Park 9-21-20. If I could give him more than Five Stars I would. There are several reasons why these tours worked for our family. 1. He picked us up from our Airbnb. 2. We didn't have to worry about where we were going. 3. We could enjoy the scenery along the way, with no stress, and curbside drop off (or princess parking as my daughters would say). 4. We could enjoy our family time together and we went at our own pace, no rushing to get on a big tour bus for the next stop. 5. If we needed Devon he was there and if we didn't he gave our family space. 6. History about the parks as we went along each tour. 7. Last, but not the least, Devon always had our family's safety in mind, and this experience will last a lifetime!!! Thanks Friend!!

It was peaceful, scenic, and a great way to experience the outdoors in a totally different way. The staff was so warm and welcoming--super friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. You can tell they genuinely care about your experience and love what they do. We really appreciated the laid-back vibe and aloha spirit even all the way out here in Colorado! The railbikes were easy to use and surprisingly smooth. We pedaled through quiet farmland and open skies--it was beautiful and relaxing. But heads up: if you're going as a couple, it's a bit of a workout! We definitely recommend going with four people if possible to share the pedaling. It makes the whole ride a lot more chill and fun. If you're anywhere near Erie, don't miss this experience. It's perfect for families, friends, or anyone looking for a peaceful adventure off the beaten path. Mahalo to the amazing team--we'll be telling everyone back home about this ride!

The day of the ride, Jessica and Chris were waiting for us in the Staunton State Park Visitor's Center, and we spent 30ish minutes making sure our two bikes were properly fitted to each of us. Their process was very thorough- taking our weight into account to adjust the front and rear suspension, watching us pedal around the parking lot, and even installing SPD pedals for me. They also equipped us with a spare tube for my tire, mini bike pump, a bottle of water, and a snack. Before we left, we shared our trail plan for the day, and Jessica's incredible depth of knowledge gave us the insider tips and let us know what to expect and special spots we should stop at that we hadn't known about. Chris stayed with us for a little bit at the beginning of the trail, offering us tips to adjust our breathing for the elevation (we're coming from Michigan) and what to expect on the trail. At the end of the day, we'd considered the whole experience to be wholly worthwhile. The only drawback is that since we had less time than we'd have liked to adapt to Denver elevation, this seemed like the first time we'd seriously considered ebikes. I hope it's something they're able to offer in the future. Otherwise, please check out this business if you're looking for an MTB rental company. We look forward to seeing them again the next time we're in Denver.
