I have never been to the Fair Theater..but I am planning a Trip to N.Y.C..they have a lot of different kinds of Movies available..including Straight Porn and Gay Porn..and some Private Video Booths..where I could meet some Hot Guys for some Action..They have mirrors inside the Booths..they also serve Free Pizza and Hot Dogs..on the Weekend..They are open from 10 30..to After Midnight..I am really Excited about going to Visit..after I go there for the First Time..I will write an other Review..also I forgot to mention that they have Lockers available so you don't have to be concerned about your Valuables..

NOBODY comes here for the movies! It has a filthy and smelly ambiance but that's just part of its charm.

Ask the Community - Fair Theatre

Are cross dressers allowed in this place?

Yes they are I been there and saw them

So mostly men and trans go here not a single woman?and wat days and times are popular

Here and there rarely women are there. Sometimes with a group of friends, sometimes with the boyfriend. Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening are the busiest.

What happens here? What type of crowd?

    Sodom and Gomorrah

Can can I walk around wearing only stockings a bra garter belt?

That is probably crossing the line. You might get away with it in some of the areas. This is my opinion.

    Can you go alone?

    YES

    Can i bring mu wife?

YES, but a weekday evening might be better to test it out to see if it's for you and you can handle it. It is not true that everyone going here is gay. I have seen M/F couples enter, but rarely only.

    Couples can go there?

It's untrue that only men are allowed. This theater is open to the public and not a private club. No adults are turned away. a M/F couple entering is RARE but it does happen.

Do any straight women go in?

No. Only gay men and transvestites

So has the crowd picked up since reopening recently. it Was dead about 3 weeks ago?

yes, it is back in full swing

    ? today will be open

Yes its open seven days a week

    Is it open?

yes it open about a week ago

Wow! Just wow. My husband and I came to see a movie on a rainy Saturday night and we were so…read moreimpressed with this theater! First, I will say that we purchased our tickets ahead of time to ensure we got the seats we wanted. We got them about 2-3 days beforehand, and it made everything a lot easier. When we arrived, we immediately got into the concession line as we knew we wanted to grab popcorn and some additional snacks. Because we hadn't eaten dinner yet, we also chose to get a pizza to share along with an Icee drink. These two items + a large popcorn cost us about $40 (oof!). So be prepared to spend if you want to snack while you're here. What we wish we would've known before arriving is that you can order your concession snacks via an app! We saw people walking in and going immediately to the "hot food ready" spot where they told the person their number and walked away with their pre-prepared snacks. Had we known this, we could've saved about 20 minutes of standing in line! This is a GREAT tip to remember, y'all! After getting our snacks, we made our way into the theater. Both my husband and I were in awe of the seats!!! All of them had personal "tables" that swiveled, allowing you to get into your seat then pull the little table in front of you so you can comfortably eat your snacks. The cup holders were massive AND, most importantly, ALL seats reclined back to a relaxing position! Not to worry, the row of seats in front of you is so low that when you recline back, you'll still be able to see the entire screen with nothing blocking it. Additionally, the isles of seats were pretty spacious. I got up mid-movie and had very little trouble getting out of my seated row, even with everyone reclined back with their feet up. Also, I wanted to note that they don't have a human that you purchase tickets from - you ca either but them online ahead of time (like we did) or you can purchase them at a kiosk when you first arrive. They do have a customer service desk if you need some help, but just keep this in mind. We live pretty close to this movie theater and look forward to seeing more movies here in the coming months!

I signed up right away to the drive-in site for future events notification. We are familiar in the area so getting to the drive-in is not a hassle at all. There are friendly staff members who guided the movie goers for effective parking and pleasurable viewing. The movie theater location is in the New York Hall of Science parking lot and the screen is fronting a good view of Terrace on the Park. The adaptable comfort zone is clean, convenient and follows Covid protocol. Luckily, we received a complimentary snack box courtesy of Apple TV+. The film is a free event too. Let's support the cause of this drive -in theater. It gives pleasure two ways.

To have one right in our borough, in our very crowded city, is such a treat. And it was all free. The second time we went we even got free treats left on our windshield. The staff was amazing. They led us through the maze of metal barricades and cones to the viewing area, made sure we were parked appropriately on the lawn, good enough to view the screen perfectly straight on, and helped us to turn all of our lights off. When we weren't able to tune them all off while still listening to the movie audio on our radio, they came around and lent us a portable radio. That way we could turn the car completely off and listen to the movie audio from their borrowed radio. There was also a food stand, but we had dinner beforehand and brought our own snacks, so we didn't order from them. All in all, a pretty awesome experience for the whole family. Thanks to all the staff and organizations that made it possible!

Great visit to the Museum of Moving Image…read more Finally made it over to Queens to visit the Museum on a Thursday during their Free Thursdays (2pm - 6pm). General admission prices are $20 for adults, $12 for seniors and students and $10 for children. Tickets are NOT required for their Free Thursdays, but are required for all other days. The museum is conveniently located just a few blocks away from the Steinway M/R subway stations. There is also street parking in the surroudning area. The first floor has a large tabled cafeteria area which sells lots of cafe-style items. There is also a courtyard there. So many interesting movie and TV-based exhibits throughout the museum's second floor. Great explanations of and insight to the film-making process. The make-up/prosthetic area was particularly interesting which currently features "The Exorcist". There is also a great current exhibit on the Sopranos, diving into the making of the hit television series, taking you through some of its iconic locations. The Jim Henson exhibit was also great and takes you through his decorated career and his contributions to various shows like Sesame Street and the Muppets and movies like The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth. The third floor contains the technical "making of..." exhibits. It takes you through the cameras, lighting and sound capturing throughout the years. There are some great interactive exhibits on this floor. I was only there for about an hour and a half and found myself running out of time on the third floor. I would easily plan for a 3-hour or so trip to read and experience everything...including maybe a bite at the cafe and some relaxation in the courtyard.

I can get a bit overwhelmed by places like The Met and MOMA since there's so much to see and a lot of it takes a ton of context to appreciate. MoMI has some really cool artifacts and interesting interactive exhibits and we found it so fun. The standout portion was the Jim Henson exhibition which was so nostalgic and special. I grew up watching The Muppet Show, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock, and The Dark Crystal so this was so up my alley. It was a mix of information, old sketches, and puppets and I found it all so well curated and charming. I'm not sure if this exact exhibit is still here but even if it isn't I'm sure they replaced it with something equally great! Admission is even free on some days which is bonkers but so lovely

By what I researched , it was created to give opportunities for artists ,which is great and also for the ones who are already in the industry to show and expanding their talent . From time to time this place comes with this wonderful Shortplay Festival . It is so exciting and so promising for the actors, directors and writers .However the competition ,turns in disappointment to see excellent work of the participants overlooked. The voting system is led from family members and friends. This current method is unfair to talented actors, writers ,and directors who give their best, but unfortunately the results depend on personal connections instead of artistic merit. A system led by qualified judges would make the festival stronger, fairer, and more true to its mission of supporting learning and creativity. Please reconsider it , to be an excellent place with fair judgments for all artists . If it continues like this ,I don't see the point of artist go through it.Thank you.

They are the true definition of a community theatre and one that keeps the arts scene alive in the borough. Does it seem like they have a better setup than previously? I seem to think so. While the venue is still incredibly small, it is a little less stuffy their than previous digs and a lot more modern. The waiting area feels like someone's living room, complete with seasonal decor and chairs / stools that feel like they were donated. Now known as the The Secret Academy, they've got a whole arsenal of classes aimed toward developing the next generation of actors. They aim to teach young folks everything from dance to drama to singing and have many current students involved in big time productions. They teach kids as young as 6 and work with high schoolers to prepare them for their next big thing. They host a number of shows throughout the year and I hope that during one of my next trips back that I can stop by and see their latest play. Here's hoping they'll be able to remain here for a very long time.
