Ah who doesn't love ethics!
Ethical, the latest buzzword to get you parting with your cash and a wad of it at that! I remember frequenting the Oxfam Shop café in Dublin a few years ago when you could get a sandwich for about 2 euro, proceeds going back to the charity. Ethical and bloody cheap!
Fairgrounds, the self-proclaimed ethical coffee shop, has recently opened on Broadwick Street and offers wooden floors, fancy crisps and not overly over-priced coffee. They have a nice selection of treats from teeny meeny oatmeal cookies to pecan muffins (I'll be back for you love), brownies and artisan sandwiches.
Fairgrounds is a nice alternative to the local big bad chains in the area, but I wasn't exactly bowled over by friendliness. read more
