Dr. Fagerness is the only vet I trust my dogs to. I've been bringing my dogs there for years.

Great local vet that charges a fair amount and is fair about what to do to help your animal. Thanks for all of the great care!

He ran his practice out of his home, and was close to retirement. So I would bring Andy to Andover Animal Hospital when he was having a hard time. They were amazing. They were able to get him seen quickly and took his health problems very seriously and recommended a cardiologist at the U of M, as his condition required a specialist. I was really impressed with the way they handled everything the few times Andy was seen there. I now bring my current pup there for everything since 2017, it is his primary place for care. They are always so wonderful. Pricing is not through the roof like most places, they don't nickel and dime you like a lot of places too. I have been very happy with the care here. The one and only complaint is the way their computer system works. If I bring him in due to illness or something completely unrelated to his annual exam, their computer system automatically changes the date he is next due for his annual. Right now his chart says he isn't due for his annual until November. However, he was due for his vaccines in January of this year. They no longer send out reminders either, So now he is 4 months overdue because his annual exam due date and his vaccine dates no longer match. Its just frustrating because it makes things way harder to keep track of. Other than that, I love this place!

The girl that answered the phone said "Oh we know, Blue Pearl told us what happened" and that was it. No, I'm very sorry to hear what happened or anything. Our dog went there her whole life, I was in tears and there was nothing from them. She couldn't get off the phone fast enough. I was already thinking of going to a new vet because i felt they had lost their personal touch but this just solidified it. Pets are part of the family but I don't feel they think the same way any longer. The emergency vet Blue Pearl couldn't have been any better to our family during this heartbreaking time.

Yes, this place doesn't have the copious choices of leashes, harnesses, treats, etc., but what they have here is the highest quality of food options I've seen anywhere. They of course sell the frozen raw food options you would find such as Instinct, Primal, Stella & Chewy's, etc., but they also carry regional frozen raw from the mid-west region. Along with that what I've never seen is there are three 18 cu.ft freezers full of raw food diet. These items are locally sourced from farmers, which I've not seen anywhere. Of course I purchased some tendon and chicken necks for my bull breed canine. Along with these raw frozen items they carry the highest quality of freeze dried raw choices, my personal favorites Vital Essentials, Icelandic and a new find Momentum Carnivore. Outside of the obligitory food choice, this place has both in-house holistic vet, massage, and chiropractic. For real, really! Where the hell do you find that in a pet store. What really sets this place apart is i had a chance to chat it up with the owner and he's super nice and informative and willing to help. If your ever in this area its definitely worth the drive.

We agreed to make the purchase when kitten was two weeks old, with an agreement to complete the purchase when the kitten was 8 weeks old. When it came time to pick up the kitten, we were surprised at how small it was. We learned from veterinary records provided by Stillwater Premier Bengals and from our visits to our veterinarian, that the kitten had not gained any weight in the two weeks between 6 weeks of age and 8 weeks of age when we took possession. Also, the kitten appeared to be malnourished to the point that its whiskers had not started growing. Two days later, the kitten developed diarrhea, and the diarrhea became much worse over the next few days to the point that we took a very runny stool sample to our veterinarian. Analysis of the stool sample confirmed that the kitten had coccidiosis which is an intestinal parasite that needs treatment. The kitten was also severely dehydrated from the diarrhea. Our veterinarian said that the coccidiosis came from the cattery. We informed Stillwater Premier Bengal Cats of this, and their response was that this was not a problem, and they refused to compensate us for our veterinary bills. We have since spent several hundred dollars dealing with this issue. We have successfully treated the coccidiosis, yet, even two months later, we are still treating the diarrhea with a special prescription diet because of damage to the kitten's intestinal tract. We learned by asking for additional veterinary records, that the cattery had treated the kitten with Albon which is an antibiotic used to treat Coccidia for 9 days, ending just before we took possession. The cattery did not run any stool samples to verify if the parasite had been eliminated, and they did not inform us of this. In other words, the cattery knew that they were delivering a sick kitten to us.

My boyfriend and I were very concerned when we came to pick up the kitten because she was smaller than when we had first met her a month previously. I asked the breeder before leaving with the kitten if she was healthy and if her weight was normal (we could feel her tiny little bones and see them) She responded saying the dewormer probably was upsetting her appetite, but she was fine. So I took her home and had her for only 30 hours before the kitten woke me up at 3 AM struggling to breathe, making a terribly sad whimpering noise and unable to move. I rushed the kitten to the emergency room and upon arrival the kitten was deceased. The breeder sent me home with Recovery RS food for her, obviously knowing she was not healthy. This was a very sad experience for me and it was very upsetting knowing the kitten was not given proper care before I received her.

We did some research, and although there's companies out there that all sound like they do the same thing, I can tell you, they don't. From the moment I spoke to the Hidden Fence Of people I knew that they were customer service oriented. They came out the very next day and dropped some line around the perimeter of the house, even though there was 2 feet of snow. And they will be back to bury it come spring time. The gentleman that came out and spent about an hour working with me on training. It was very easy, and within about a month my dog was off leash and not venturing out of the yard anymore. One of the concerns I had going in was that would the collar be painful for my dog. So I tried it out on my self and it is basically nothing more than a vibration and not a painful shock which I think other companies use. As my dog approaches the perimeter, there is a beeping sound and vibration, and right away he knew that he has gone too far. Now after a solid month, it is so apparent that he knows the boundary, So happy to have made this choice.
