But I couldn't have been happier with our stylist Karen. She was great with my babies and did a great job doing their first haircuts. $31 each haircut seemed a little pricey but I guess that's the going rate. My daughter had one of the worst experiences at this salon this past Thursday. She hadn't been to…read moreget a haircut for quite some time, and really needed a boost to her mood and general well-being. The stylist immediately was rushing to find a reference photo for the hair style, not allowing my daughter to choose the picture from my phone, when she admitted she had no idea what this type of style looked like. My daughter looked at the stylists phone and went along with what was shown. The stylist then took my daughter to the entirely opposite end of the building, saying nothing to me, like feel free to come so you can watch what's going on. I asked my child afterwards and the stylist barely spoke to her the entire time, other than at the end, when she asked her if she wanted her nails done. This was not requested or discussed prior. It shouldn't be up to a child to decide what is or isn't included. Regardless, her nails were painted, and a short time later, my daughter walks over. I asked if her nails were dry and she was under the impression that they were. The stylists assistant then gave my daughter a few small items to hold, including a small stuffed animal and a balloon, whereupon, my daughters nails polish ended up completely smudged, including on the stuffed animal. I said something and received no apology; just oh, this marker will fix everything. The girl touched up my daughters fingers so there wasn't polish everywhere, but the nails still needed to be fixed. I'm absolutely baffled that this was their solution. My sweet beautiful girl was embarrassed that I pointed out what happened, she told me that she hated her hair, and the entire appointment was a complete waste of time and money, plus my daughter couldn't even enjoy a day that was supposed to be special for her. She did not deserve that treatment at all. The stylist also used her hair dryer to dry my daughters nails. Seriously??!

I have come here a few times though whenever she can't take me in. But this place is basically just as good. The first time I came here, I was looking to color my hair. I've never done anything to it before and this was a new place for me, so I was terrified as hell. Amanda was my stylist and I basically showed her a bunch of photos and let her do whatever she wanted with my hair. I was terrified, but my goodness, the result was amazing! Amanda gave me balayage highlights that weren't too bright, flowed perfectly with my hair, and look amazing. She also gave me advice on how to take care of it, how I should update it, and everything. I've gotten so many compliments on my hair since then, especially when I curl it because you can see how cool it looks. Wow. I was definitely impressed. I think the price was expensive, but I was glad to pay it because I thought it was so worth it. I'm still going to my normal everyday place because I do have a strong relationship with my stylist and it's also a lot cheaper, but I do love One Salon. Now I come here when I'm trying something new, and then I go to my normal girl when I'm sticking with what I'm comfortable with. 10/10 would recommend this

It takes her a while to get used to people. But this place blew her away. They treated her like a "Queen of England" (her words). They are really pros with all types of hair, including damaged ones, and they take really good care of you.
