I traveled all the way from Bridgeville, Delaware for an appointment at this barbershop, specifically booking with Barber Flacco for a confirmed time. Anyone who drives that distance knows it requires planning, time, and intention--this wasn't a casual drop-in. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment, the barber I booked with wasn't even there. There was no prior communication, no heads-up, no text or call to let me know plans had changed. I only found out after arriving, which made the entire trip a waste of time and effort. This wasn't just inconvenient--it was unprofessional. Appointments exist for a reason, especially when clients are traveling a significant distance and arranging their day around a confirmed time. If a barber can't make their own scheduled appointment, the responsibility is on the shop or the barber to communicate that clearly and in advance. I value professionalism, accountability, and respect for a client's time. Unfortunately, this experience fell short on all three. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because situations like this reflect poorly not just on one barber, but on the shop as a whole. read more

Amazing service! I called on a Monday asking if I could come in and get my 2 year olds hair cut. They got us in 10 minutes. Flocko did an incredible job, he was able to give my baby a fade in no time and even wipped his tears and helped him through the whole process. He even charged a discount because he was a baby. The place is THE BEST! When you have two kids, you kind of need to be cognizant of where you go since you don't want them annoying the clientele. At Faded, children are welcome. I was lucky enough to talk to Anthony on the phone last November and I have been taking my kids to him ever since. Anthony has a great manner with kids and mine actually enjoy getting their hair cut with him. And he always gives them a great cut! Friends and family always remark about their cuts. Though I don't have a lot of hair left, I have now started to have him buzz my hair and trim my beard. That is a small luxury for me. There is a Pac Man machine there to keep kids occupied, as well as a few adults! Faded is definitely the best kept secret in Rehoboth Beach. They have a faux brick wall/industrial atmosphere and multiple video screens not showing anything outstanding but who cares.They were able to fit me in even though I didn't make an appointment (but I will next time!) I came here in July for a haircut with Chris. She was great. She and the other employee there both were wearing masks and I liked my haircut. I had an appointment with Nick today (Chris wasn't there) and had to turn around and leave. Nick, Phil, one other employee, and a customer were there - none of them wearing masks. It's a shame. In normal times I would recommend this place. But no haircut is worth risking being exposed to COVID. read more

If you need a quick clip at an honest price, look no further. On the spur of the moment while vacationing in Rehoboth, I decided to get a haircut, but most places were booked or overpriced. And considering the coronavirus risk, I really did not relish the idea of spending hours at an upmarket salon. As a woman, I'd never been to a barber shop, but Chris, a woman with a friendly voice at Faded Barber, locked in my appointment, then reminded me to wait my turn outside with respect for their safety policy. It was a Friday afternoon and much to my surprise, upon entering, the owner greeted me with an icy-cold beverage and a smile. The vibe is at Faded Barber is reminiscent of a groovy music store: black t-shirts, beards, piercings. Relaxed, genuine, upbeat. A well behaved labrador lay on the floor. Chris, a charming tattooed stylist, described local life to me as she snipped away my dead ends. I enjoyed her take on Rehoboth. She wasted no time giving me a perfect trim, adding that she enjoys her town and the barbershop because people here are down to earth and unpretentious.
