The other comments are truly dead on - horrible company to work with and I'm sure they are just milking the home warranty companies for incomplete work. The tech who came out (Ethan?) has been nothing short of amazing, Replaced parts. Didn't work. Said it needed replaced and called American Home Shield to inform them of this. But the guy who answers the phone and clearly replies to comments here is a scum bag. He's arrogant and should never deal with people. He wound up hanging up on me after he tried to lie and say his tech didn't recommend replacing the washer. I told him to put him on the phone or call him! LG scheduled to have Factory Warranty Services come out to repair our refrigerator which a previous technician had conducted an incomplete repair on. The technician came out and assessed the situation and started cutting every refrigerant line in the entire sealed system to diagnose a leak. He had a bad attitude about having to work on it the entire time. After cutting all of the lines, he realized he did not have the correct equipment to conduct his tests. He told us somebody else would have to come out with the right stuff but we assumed he meant he would get the right person sent out. He left, forged our signature on the repair slip and went silent. I finally got ahold of the company directly and they said that since somebody else had previously worked on it, they would not touch it. This is a bold faced lie to get out of having to conduct the repair because the technician had completely taken apart our refrigerator and left it that way. Factory Warranty Services was the contractor used by LG to repair my Front Load Washing Machine. They sent a message asking what the issue was, even though I had provided the information to LG. But, no problem, I provided the information to them. I received a message from them that they were ordering parts and would schedule an appointment. When they scheduled the appointment, the technician arrived with no parts and no idea what the issue was. After providing the information to the technician, he looked at the machine and said he needed to order parts. Another technician came with parts. He replaced two parts. He started up the washer, watched it for a few minutes and left. Right after he left, the same issue began happening again. After numerous telephone calls, I finally got through to the business and explained that the they had not fixed the problem. The first technician came back for the third service call, confirmed that the issue had not been resolved, identified what he thought the problem was, said he needed to order more parts and would be back in about a week after the parts were received. When I heard nothing from them after approximately 10 days, I called them and after several messages that were not responded to by the business, finally got in touch with someone, This individual told me that the ticket had been closed and that they would not be returning to complete the repair. When I told him that the technician told me that he had ordered parts and would be back, he said that he didn't care, they were closing the repair and that I would have to have LG send them another ticket. LG sent them another ticket, but Factory Warranty Services has not responded. They have not responded to my tests or voice mails and I have not been able to get in touch with anyone there by phone. Their service is awful. LG apparently has no other service providers in the area. The bottom line is that after 2 months they have not completed the repair and do not respond. If my experience is an indication of their competence, I don't see how they are still in business. My advice is to avoid them at all costs. read more

The few times I did speak with them, the man was very rude and kept telling me the part had to come from the company and he can't track their shipments. I guess he was incapable of calling the company to ask where the part was. The technician (Craig) was fine. He switched out the broken part and called me to let me know it was done. The problem was that the company simply would not communuicate. No one answered the phone (or phone messages). No one answered texts. No one answered emails. It was impossible to find out when or if the repair would happen. This was true before the repair happened, and it was even worse after the repair was done and I wanted to get a report about what happened. In the past I've dealt with several contractors who were not great about communication--but nothing like this. If you have an option to go with another company, take it. read more

Not sure what company the other reviewers called, but we've had nothing but good interactions with Factory Warranty Services. After two days of doing the frustrating call center dance with Sears, we finally got Sears to put us in touch with FWS. FWS called us the same day, letting us know that they were expediting parts to us, based on our refrigerator's symptoms. I think this is a great idea: have the parts on site so when the technician arrives, he'll at least have a chance at fixing the problem with just one trip. Scheduling the actual service call with Mr. Bishop was painless and pleasant. He was very personable, actually making us feel better about what is always an unhappy situation--a broken refrigerator. Mr. Bishop was genuinely sympathetic to our problem, and worked with us to find a good day for our service call. On the day of the service call, Chris, our technician, arrived early in the morning, just as we had been told. Chris was also friendly and pleasant. He quickly diagnosed the issue with our refrigerator, and worked with FWS to source the part for a follow-up service call. He also showed us how to temporarily get the refrigerator running so we could use it until the other part arrives. Overall, we've had a great experience working with Factory Warranty Services. read more

Lg washer needed fixed sent the part through text and it was shipped directly to our home. Factory Warranty Service called the same day the part was scheduled for delivery and set up an appointment for the next morning. They sent a text letting me know when they would arrive so no waiting around. Ron was extremely professional and fixed our washer without any issues within 45 minutes! I was given an appointment by Lowes to fulfill a warranty claim. Lowes assured me the information about the issue was sent to Factory Warranty Services. Less than 24 hours after Lowes made the appointment, I received a telephone voicemail from FWS advising to disregard the appointment notice from Lowes and that I should call with the model and serial number so that FWS could order the parts for my dryer It was after hours when I received the FWS voicemail, so I called Lowes. Lowes CSR advised me that FWS could not cancel appointments and part should not be order until a technician assessed the appliance and made a determination as to what the issue is. The Lowes CSR that FWS has my claim information, I agreed since the FWS called me. This is the second fly by night company Lowes has attempted to get to come fix my dryer. I wish I could say "0" stars. Beware of this company, they are difficult to contact and want to order parts before they've looked at the appliance. read more

After I called Lowe's about an issue with my range, a Factory Warranty Services representative called me promptly to inquire about the problem with the range. I was told parts would be ordered and I'd get a call back when they arrived to schedule a technician visit. Two days later, I got the call and the appointment was made for the next day. Craig was the technician sent to my house. Craig was AMAZING! My dogs loved him and I did, too. He was friendly, respectful, professional and very knowledgeable. He explained how the range settings work for this particular model and took time to answer all my questions. Craig only g gets five stars because that's the most available. As one can see by previous reviews, this company is pathetic. I will provide an abbreviated version of our seven week ordeal. We have a GE Advantium microwave with conked out on 11 February 2019. We placed a call to Loews where we purchased the appliance and they gave us the phone for Factory Warranty Services which provides repairs for many companies when the products under warranty. We placed a call to them on 11 February and emphasized that the unit will not let us reset anything without resetting the clock AND IT WILL NOT ALLOW US TO RESET IT. (This is important, in that they were informed up front that this, at very least, had to be corrected.) 2/20 - I called Factory Warranty to check on the status they had not received all the parts as yet. 2/25 - Repairman on site. He replaced a part, but could not get unit to work. He called GE technical personnel for assistance and was informed that he needed the part that resets the clock. I informed him that his company had been informed (emphasized) on day one that it was this part (at very least) that was required. He apologized, then ordered the necessary component before he departed. 3/7 - Called Factory Warranty for status and was advised necessary component had been shipped and should be received the following day. 3/12 - Called Factory Warranty. This time I was informed that the necessary component "was on backorder" and would not be shipped until 3/18. The representative was unable to explain why I was informed on 3/7 that the component "had been shipped"! 3/12 - Exasperated, I sent a complaint to GE via email. 3/14 - Received a call from Factory Warranty Services that they would be out 3/15 to effect repairs. (Note - so much for the component being on back order until 3/18!!) 3/15 - A different repairman arrived and installed a component (turned out to be the motherboard). Not surprisingly, he could not get unit to run "because he could not get the clock to reset"! He reviewed the record of our situation on his cell phone but ended up totally confused by the information he found. He departed and said he would ensure that the correct component was ordered. 3/18 - GE customer service representative called and advised me that she had spoken to Factory Warranty Services and was informed they were waiting for the necessary component. She advised me the would keep me informed. 3/22 - GE representative advised me she had spoken to Factory Warranty Services and they now claim they are having trouble getting the necessary component. She informed me that she had taken it upon herself to order the component and would be shipping it directly to me. She further advised me to call them when the part was received to arrange a service call and to emphasize that they are to bring all additional components they have with them, just in case they were needed. 3/25 - Part received. I called Factory Warranty services to arrange a service call. The representative I spoke with was very curt and informed me they could not send a repairman until 3/29. I then advised her that per GE, they were to bring all components they had with them. She then said since GE it upon themselves, they would not be bringing any parts, that this is all on GE, not Factory Warranty Services. At this point, I objected to her placing blame on GE, when, in fact, it was they were to blame. She cut me short and said she would just "close out the account". I objected and she said someone would be out on the 29th and hung up. (Her demeanor throughout was extremely unprofessional!) 3/29 - No repairman showed, nor did I receive any calls. 3/29 - I contacted GE. They said that the situation was truly unacceptable and that in their experience they had never seen anything like it. As such, they informed us that we would not have to put up with this any longer and that they would "buy back" the appliance for the original purchase cost. (Which they did) As is clearly evident in the foregoing, Factory Warranty Services is a pathetic excuse for a company. I have quite a number of years on me and over those years have experienced other companies unprofessionalism and incompetence but never to the extent, I experienced with this company! If anyone has a product under warranty and they are referred to Factory Warranty Services, I would strongly recommend demanding other alternatives! read more

Came to our brand new house to work on brand new refrigerator, microwave & dishwasher. After failing to fix all three, sent another guy who was "much more experienced". He was a little better, but still could not repair, but would order another part for microwave. Heard NOTHING for 3 weeks and when we called to inquire, were told that there was a note on our account that they would no longer be servicing our address and needed to speak to a manager. If I could give this company a zero star rating I would. Lowes scheduled the appointment with them for February 21 between eight and noon. We took off work to be here and no one ever showed up. They then sent us a text telling us to please disregard our previously scheduled date. They then wanted us to provide them a photo of the model and serial tag of our dishwasher and also give them detailed information of the problem that we were experiencing. We gave all of that information to Lowes so I'm not sure why they didn't get that information and I'm not sure why they didn't call me versus sending me a text message. They then sent a text saying that they were ordering parts and when we got the parts we should call or text them. Once the parts came I called and they set up a date for February 28th between 1-5. I was on work calls and didn't notice that they called until 5:30 PM and I noticed that they left a voicemail saying that they would give me 10 minutes to respond back or they would not be coming. I called the main number many times with no answer on March 1. Finally someone answered and I told them what happened and just started to ask a simple question as to why wouldn't they also text so that if people were on the phone they could respond back and not miss their appt but I was RUDELY interrupted by the scheduling manager. He said " if I knew I was getting my dishwasher repaired I would make sure I answered every call" He then said he had next Monday March 7th and I said " Why so long" He then said " you can either take that appt or I'll just cancel you all together". I said " what an ass" and he said " well bc you're now cussing I'm cancelling " and he hung up on me. I called back and no one would answer. He finally answered and told me he was and had been recording me. I asked him for the owners name And he refused to give it to me and he said oh you'll never be able to talk to them and hung up on me again. When I called Lowe's she said he called twice and she wasn't sure why and said I was being aggressive. Lol. What a joke. If he hadn't been RUDE to begin with none of this would have happened. The lady from Lowe's was filing a complaint against this company. I'm also filing one with the better business bureau. Not only was he argumentative, he continually interrupted me to tell me that he was "in charge" and that the service technicians "didn't know anything." All of the below is 100% accurate which is way better than the 0% accurate information I can get from FWS. My ice maker has been making horrible noises since May, it is now August. I thought it odd that they wanted to order parts before having a technician assess the issue. Then, for 3 months, they told me parts were back ordered b/c of COVID. The technician seemed fine but I am sure he is in on this scam of the company. He told me they ordered the wrong parts and ordered new parts. He also told me that they always say the parts are not in when they are just sitting there waiting. Now, last week, I was unavailable to take their call, tried to call them back 3 times and they have closed my claim and I have to open a new claim. They refused to reopen. I spoke to Bishop who said he was the scheduling manager. Very rude! Like this is my fault. I think they order parts and then resale them for profit and bilk the manufacturers.
