I was at a loss as to who to turn to when my Maytag washer- only 1 1/2 years old - stopped working…read more So I went to YELP, which I have turned to many times before and have always been satisfied. I reached out to B&B Appliance. They reached back out to me within 5 minutes and asked when I would like them to come. They were upfront about the cost for coming and when I said tomorrow, I was shocked to get a reply saying no problem. They said between 8:30-9 am and they arrived within that window. It took them no time to find the problem. They had to order the part and said it should be in by Thursday, and they would call that morning (today) with an ETA. True to their word a call came in early, and we were told between 11-1. Once again, they came in the time quoted. They talked with my husband for a while and discussed the type of issue we were having, saying it was not the first time they had to replace that same part in a Maytag. My husband was very satisfied with them. Rest assured if we have any future appliance problems, they will be the people we call. If you want a reliable company, who says what they are doing and takes the time to explain what happened, then call them! My husband and I are both very satisfied with the service we received. THANK YOU, B&B! Great work and Great job.

But, I'm kind of glad it took three calls before I reached someone at B&B Appliance Repair. It wasn't an emergency, but had it been, they would have been out there the next morning. Instead, the owner coordinated with my tenant, and the stove was fixed in a timely manner. The bill was sent via text to me which allowed me to stay home and tend to other matters instead of driving 60 miles to Winchester. I own a duplex which means I have double the number of appliances. I know who to call next time one needs repairing. And I'll bet anything, I'll have to call just one time.

Wish their procedures allowed them to have known common failure parts on hand, they are perfectly aware of what unit they're being called out for in advance. Maybe they don't have this option in the contract with the manufacturer, I dunno, but it would have made things much less inconvenient for our dryer failure.

I waited over 3 weeks and called but received no answer and I proceeded to leave a message to check on the status. No one ever returned my call. I then contacted Assurant claims to let them know I've been waiting all this time only to find out A-1 Appliance repair closed my case and reason said unsanitary. The technician did not see any dirt, debris, dishwasher was clean. I believe the technician was afraid of my dogs that was locked in their cages. That was poor communication and very unprofessional. I advised Assurant to never send them to my home again.

Repair tech named Josh came to my house June 27th 2024, removed 2 drawers, glanced into the refrigerator and said no problem we can order the part, it'll take me fifteen minutes to replace it and all will be good, someone will get in touch with you to schedule the appointment. Friday June 28th received a call stating that it would cost $643.35 for partrs and labor with a 1 year warranty if I chose to proceed, I agreed as a new fridge similar to ours started at around $1800. Was told I'd receive a call to schedule the repair appointment. About a week later I had not heard from them so I called. They said the part was on back order and they'd call me back as soon as they had an eta on its arrival. They returned my call said the part would not be in till July 24th and they scheduled repair appointment for Friday July 26th. Again Josh showed up, I was at work, my wife was home. He pulled the drawers out and replaced the part in approx 10 minutes. He told my wife to give it about 24 hours to come to temperature. Saturday morning I noticed nothing had changed but we had a funeral service all day so I had no time and thought maybe it just needed a little longer. Sunday temperature was still at 50 degrees. Called the office Monday morning and explained the problem, I was told they would message the back office and get back to me. Monday afternoon I called again, I was told still waiting to hear from back office and they were waiting to hear from the tech Josh. Tuesday morning I called and they still had no info from the back office or Josh. Tuesday approx 1:30 they call me back and say that Josh informed them that the refrigerator had already started cooling down when he left my house and that if there was a problem still it was in the sealed system which they do not work on and they recommend I find another repair shop. I lost all patience at this time and demanded a call from a manager (as I was repeatedly told no manager or anyone higher than the phone operator was available) and demanded a refund on the parts and labor which did absolutely nothing to fix the problem. Wednesday, still no call from a manager, I call and I'm told theres nothing they can do and the back office is refusing to refund any money.
