There was one person manning the store and he was busy with someone. I patiently waited my turn, I figured he would get to me once he completed the sale. Shortly before he had finished the sale another man walked in that seemed to know the sales associate. They said hello and the sales associate asked him how his project was going. At this point I was slightly annoyed, I had not even gotten a "hello, I will be with you in a moment" from the sales associate. I still waited. I needed the supplies. After the sale was complete I was all ready with my questions and requests. The guy walked right by me, not even an acknowledgment and helped his friend. Horrible customer service. I will never go back again and I suggest anyone else try a different location.

I was able to borrow several samples (for free!) to help me decide what colour would work best in my space. At Pottery Barn, they charge you something crazy like $25 per tiny sample of wood. (Note: Apparently, PB refunds the $ if you return the samples in 30 days.) I had some very specific installation questions, some flooring-related and some non-flooring related. Speers Flooring was able to provide contact information for just about any job. While their prices are a little higher than others, I believe you are paying for their quality service and expertise. Just finished getting a carpet runner installed on my stairs by Maple. The experience was great…read morefrom end to end. Found them at random (I think their Yelp add got my attention) and called the number. Haneef who is in charge called me back within a few minutes and accommodated my work schedule to set up a free visit to quote on the work. Once in my house he looked at the wallpaper, flooring and colour scheme and went back to his vehicle to bring some carpet samples that matched our decor. I much preferred this than having to go through the hundreds of options, Haneef has experience and taste and it was easier to choose from a small sample set than from a giant book. When he quoted the price I was happy, it was fair so I didn't negotiate. They promised 14 day turn around and within 5 days the carpet was fabricated and they called to schedule a Saturday morning install. The installers arrived on schedule, got to work quickly, and were done in an hour and a half. The stairs look great and the workmanship was excellent. I am a stickler for details and they really did a good job. The guys doing the work were polite and professional, and they cleaned up before taking off. I'm pretty happy. I love it when this sort of thing is easy and it was. Thanks Maple and Haneef, if I have another carpet need or set of stairs I will get in touch again.
