Speers Flooring offers several different flooring options. It's actually overwhelming! Luckily, I…read morewas briefly educated on the basics before coming here and had narrowed down what I wanted. The staff at Speers were very friendly and helpful. They confirmed the pros and cons of each type of flooring and came up with solutions to my transition issues (floor to tile). I was able to borrow several samples (for free!) to help me decide what colour would work best in my space. At Pottery Barn, they charge you something crazy like $25 per tiny sample of wood. (Note: Apparently, PB refunds the $ if you return the samples in 30 days.) I had some very specific installation questions, some flooring-related and some non-flooring related. Speers Flooring was able to provide contact information for just about any job. While their prices are a little higher than others, I believe you are paying for their quality service and expertise. The sales people were very honest with me, and never pushy.

Aspen Wood Flooring, Customer review: 505 Queensway East, Mississauga…read more How do we write a referral to describe the most incredible company? It is easy, Aspen Wood Floors went beyond the star rating system. To begin with, we were completely impressed with their professionalism and customer service; their attention to detail is second to none. When we entered their showroom, the ambiance was inviting and comfortable. Their staff is not only friendly but also highly skilled. In the showroom were greeted by a representative. We handed him a piece of Red Oak Hardwood from a previous installation. He matched our sample to the new version of Red Oak Hardwood. It was an excellent match. The estimator came to our home; measured accurately and made a few recommendations regarding the installation process. What amazed us the most was their pricing; it was fair and transparent. Each detail was outlined with the associated value for money. The product quality is consistently outstanding, exceeding our expectations. The Red Oak Hardwood boards were perfect, both in colour and shape. They delivered long flooring boards in each box, not a collection of shorth boards. They satisfied all our needs. We highly recommend this business. Their efficiency, punctuality, sales staff, product knowledge are the hallmarks of Aspen Wood. Thank you, Leonard and Ann

I got quotes from a few places in the GTA (all the others were 10-12k) but I could tell as soon as…read moreI contacted Creative Carpet One (they now also go by Creative Flooring) the service was different. We did a beautiful Twelve Oaks luxury vinyl, installed beautifully with a 5-inch high baseboard and it looks amazing. But what impressed me the most was the old-school customer service. Rick (the owner) is the type of owner that will patiently answer any and all questions, go to lengths to keep you in the loop, research the best price for the baseboards, accommodate your schedule and requests. Brenda was equally thoughtful and patient helping me choose my floor shade. They gave service at a level that you almost never see any more. Other places were pressuring me to commit to the job without coming to measure my place, without helping me choose baseboards and without explaining key aspects of the install. Rick worked hard to consider the odd angles in my odd-shaped condo layout, saved me approx. $2000 by laying vinyl over the tile (which the competitor hadn't even mentioned as an option), and shopped around to find me stunning MDF baseboards cheaper than the real wood option. The installer was John and he did lovely work. I'd give 11 stars if I could.

The hardwood manufacturer was very responsive, provided a return authorization and offered a refund to Chestnut within 2 days. However Nemo, CEO of Chestnut Flooring refused me immediate credit, but sent me an email stating that all Chestnut sales were final and that refund to me would take 4-6 weeks to process. His explanation for holding funds for an extra month - Chestnut Flooring policy different than the manufacturers. Recommendation; Do not prepay Chestnut Flooring prior to inspection of flooring delivery.

I purchased engineered hardwood through Nick with an installation date of Oct 29/30. I was living…read morein a hotel due to a flood and was not in my unit when the floor was installed. When I moved back in on Nov 12 I discovered glue all over my floor, chips, scratches, dents from dropped tools, holes and saw marks and none of the doorstop moulding they applied was installed correctly. To date I have sent photos to Nick 3 times, spoken to the manager who appears to be completely out to lunch and have called Nick numerous times to have this resolved. each time Nick promises to call be the next day at a particular time to resolve the issue and to date he has not called back once, I have to keep calling him. The installers were Adam Kharaman and his son from Kharaman Flooring. I asked Adam to come back to repair the floor and remove the doorstop moulding so I could have another company come in and do the job properly, he removed most, not all, of the doorstop and destroyed my baseboards, which will now also need to be replaced. I had to ask him to remove the nails, which he said he would hammer in. He did sort of hammer a few over, but most of the nails are sticking straight out of my baseboards now. The floor has not been repaired and replaced where necessary and every time Adam comes into my home he causes more damage and is now not allowed back. Take a look at the photos and decide for yourselves whether this is a job you would want done in your home. So far, I have been offered a"free" box of flooring, which does me no good since A) I am recovering from a spinal fusion, and B) I"M NOT A BLOODY FLOORING INSTALLER; I PAID FOR A BLOODY FLOORING INSTALLER TO DO THE JOB! I want this done so the restoration from the flood is complete, and I can move on with my life. At this point, I'm going to have to get a lawyer involved. This whole experience has been a bad joke. UPDATE: Jan 06- Nick Granita made an appointment with me to come out this evening at 6:00 pm to take a look at the shoddy workmanship and discuss repairs, as expected; he did not call or show up at my home. UPDATE: Jan 07 - I called The Hardwood Flooring Store and asked to speak to the owner; Ron Ander who told me he was with a client and couldn't speak to me and then had a meeting but would call me back in 45 minutes. Fair enough, but as expected, like NickGranita he did not call back to discuss the issue. UPDATE: 08 - I just spoke to Ron Ander who tells me this has nothing to do with him or his company and unless I remove this revue he isn't going to do anything to have the the job that I paid for completed and that he's going to post a response saying that I'm some sort of crank. Well, Mr Ander, Kahraman Flooring was sent out by your company and as the owner the buck stops with you. I have been trying to come to some sort of resolution since Nov 15 2024, this review wasn't posted Mid-December, your company had plenty of opportunities to turn this around but chose not to. Again, look at the photos of their work and ask yourself who the crank is and if this is the kind of work you would want in your home. It looks like we're going to court, along with Adam Kharaman of Kharaman Flooring. FAFO

Found them at random (I think their Yelp add got my attention) and called the number. Haneef who is in charge called me back within a few minutes and accommodated my work schedule to set up a free visit to quote on the work. Once in my house he looked at the wallpaper, flooring and colour scheme and went back to his vehicle to bring some carpet samples that matched our decor. I much preferred this than having to go through the hundreds of options, Haneef has experience and taste and it was easier to choose from a small sample set than from a giant book. When he quoted the price I was happy, it was fair so I didn't negotiate. They promised 14 day turn around and within 5 days the carpet was fabricated and they called to schedule a Saturday morning install. The installers arrived on schedule, got to work quickly, and were done in an hour and a half. The stairs look great and the workmanship was excellent. I am a stickler for details and they really did a good job. The guys doing the work were polite and professional, and they cleaned up before taking off. I'm pretty happy. I love it when this sort of thing is easy and it was. Thanks Maple and Haneef, if I have another carpet need or set of stairs I will get in touch again.

They have a huge amount of stock and the staff are very friendly and willing to help. I think they had some really great tiles but they can be quite hidden. My contractor said that he would be ok doing that only if I also ordered the Schluter Kerdi shower base system. When I asked Tracy how much more (besides the tiles) this would cost me, she only quoted me 2 of the 3 pieces required. The base (talked to my contractor to ask what size was needed) and the linear drain Cover but made no mention of the actual drain also required. Cost: $656+ tax. So, I decided to go for it. Couple of weeks ago my contractor went to pick up the piece to start the job...no drain. Had to rush order it and the Cost: $417. When I talked to Tracy today she told me the contractor would not know what exact drain to order until he broke up the floor and it was up to me and him to ensure we ordered what we needed etc. When I mentioned that she never once mentioned this to me, she said that it was back in November and she could not recall the conversations regarding this order. When I explained that had I known that the Whole shower base system was going to run me nearly 1200$ I Would have used the smaller tiles. She was unsympathetic and Refused to acknowledge that it was her quoting error and refused to cover the additional cost or even charge me for her cost of the product ie waiving profit. Not impressed at all. When I make an error, I don't make others pay for it.
