I would love to share all the problems me and my husband experienced from the home we ordered......at this point we're drained from the the whole process. My best advice is to get in touch with your state inspector, ask questions about all the complaints and lawsuits filed against this company. Always look at your Yelp reviews. Find a mobile home company that has a Better Business Bureau A+score. This company does not. Best wishes to all we are still trying to resolve our issues with ongoing problems with our home. Not once has Mike Jr tried to reach out to us. read more

My daughter, son in law and I went to Factory Direct to look at mobile homes. We were met by Ernie, although I had talked on the phone to Mike. They seemed nice enough at first, however I there were some questions that I needed to ask them. Ernie became annoyed at my asking questions. He did not understand that ASKING QUESTIONS, was part of his job. He actually blew us off, because he was "too busy" to be bothered. We are not buying a vacuum cleaner, we are buying a home. He stated that he had 11 desks he was working on, and he did not have the time to devote to us. The are rude, unprofessional and they DO NOT deserve your hard owner dollars. Go anywhere but Factory Direct, because their customer service is in the toilet and with their attitudes, will stay there. Neither Ernie, Mike Jr or Mike Sr value customers, so they don't deserve to have the business. In 40 years of being in sakes, there are the rudest jerks I have ever encountered. STEER CLEAR IF FACTORY HOMES DIRECT. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. read more

I paid $141,000 for an 1800sq.ft. upgraded home with a fireplace, walk in shower, built in oven and more. I was told by the salesman Mike Champouillon that after move in I would be contacted by them to have a walk through to point out issues if any so they could correct. Well that never happened. I had to call several times to get their attention.About month 5 they sent two people to fix the problems such as replacing a bathroom door, sealing the grout in my shower, caulking around my sinks and countertops, patching the crown moldings seams. They advised me that three countertops needed to be replaced. The chips on my cabinets and doors they had no idea how to repair. I sent them pictures, to no avail. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I received a call from the General Manager Todd Van Berg after he received the BBB complaint. This was the second time we spoke. He was rude, accusatory and made no effort to correct the issues. Is this the way to treat a client who is just trying to get what I paid for ?What happened to quality control? I invited Mr. Van Berg to see these issues for himself. He didn't take my offer which tells me he had no intention to do what was right. Buyer beware of this Company. I'm going to contact their corporate office to see if I can get any satisfaction. read more

Worst case of nepotism I've ever seen. Mike Jr is completely incompetent. He'll pretend to be an interested salesperson in the beginning but once it comes time to actually get down to business, he has zero communication, blatantly incorrect information and down right disrepect for customers. You'll think you're on track and be waiting for him to send documents only to get notified by the bank that your approval has expired because no paperwork was submitted from the retailer. Numerous texts, emails, voicemail and front desk messages will go unanswered until he answers by accident only to tell you there's a problem with the permitting process and you're actually about ten steps behind where you thought you were. By the way, he's known of the problem for a month already without bothering to tell you. He'll tell you he spoke with the bank and tell you what they said. You'll call and speak to the bank and get told the complete opposite. DO NOT LET THIS PLACE STEAL YOUR VALUABLE TIME. STAY AWAY. GO ELSEWHERE. NOT WORTH IT. read more

This is in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mike did not disclose that it was only set up for propane only or other things about the home, no detail, like we purchased a drive through meal at McDonald's. Thinking as most MH have a 220 already in for choice of gas or electric oven.. WE took out gas range to replace with electric only to find no option to use electric range was given..The home we purchased did NOT have option. We have to pay around 1,000 dollars for a electrician come out and add what should have already been this option. Also the man you delivered and set up the home was cocky and rude, he also tore a wire under the home in transport. The 3 men who did bricks and skirting did a fine job. Mike is friendly at first and than does not return phone call's and you are completely ghosted by him. The lady that works in the office is overrun with phone calls because Mike does not go over every option with buyers. This I need to contact all other and maybe do a BBB complaint. read more

I would give Mike a zero if I could. He wasted a month and a half of our lives waiting for him to put in the paperwork. We drove over 5 1/2hrs to look at what looked like a beautiful single wide manufactured home on the website. Mike couldn't find the keys and had to break into the house after wasting 45 minutes trying to find the keys. He is the manager. He then hit the door several times to get the 2x4 to fall that they had wedged behind the door. The house was dirty, broken window, air conditioner taken out, over an inch thick cracks in the walls. He said all that would be taken care of. Then when we got the purchase agreement, he is trying to sell the house as is for 107,000. He would not give us a break down of expenses. When we started questioning him, he sent my husband a text and told him to stop contacting him. Mike Omlor is by far the most deceitful salesperson I have ever dealt with. He says one thing on one day then changes it the next time you talk to him. read more

We were buying our first home in 2021 with Covid it made things really hard. anyways We came to factory homes direct in Albuquerque picked out our double wide, couple days later we went and put down our down payment signed contracts and picked out all of our colors for the home the floor boards colors of cabinets and we paid $300 for engineer plans from someone they recommended to us Everything seemed good. For about a month we thought we were on the right track We thought our home was set to be built and all we had to do was wait until it was ready to be delivered. Then one day we wake up to an email from DANIEL THE SALESMAN WHO WAS HELPING US. The company wouldn't be able to make our house anymore and they will sell us the one on thier lot for $20,000 more than what our original contract states. If not they will be giving us our $8,000 down payment back and that's it. So we got our money back and didn't get our money back for the engineers plans. And we were devastated! So I would not recommend this place to anyone. Please go somewhere else to buy your home. We wasted months on this place. read more

This is by far the most beautiful home I have lived in. Our house is beautiful and was made to fit our needs. Lisa was always there to help during the during the normal frustrations of buying a home. She was ALWAYS available to answer any questions and was absolutely wonderful to us. Cody did a fantastic job preparing the house on site. Robert did a fantastic job with the foundation and our ramp. The men and women who built the house did a fantastic job. Yes, there were a few minor issues we noticed once we moved in, but Steve, Cody, and Robert took care of them immediately. The only thing I have suggested to the company is they have a check list for the costumer. PNM took forever to come out and there are building and placement permits we learned about as we went along. But over all we are happy! Thank you all for everything!! read more

Bought a home from these people. Everything was good up until the home was delivered. Issue after another issue. Had 30 days to give them all the issues, which I did. It was 4 months later before anyone came out to repair. A lot was repaired good, and now the issues are back. The repair person has only come out on 4 occasions over the year and fixed some things, but not well, and I have had to repair myself. Whenever I contact Factory Direct now, it is just crickets. No one ever responds, they have washed their hands of it, and refuse to take responsibility of all the home issues. I have been dealing with all this now for over a year, and still nothing! AND to top it off I have tried to reach out to Champion homes, and they could care less as well! I would NEVER recommend Champion or factory homes to anyone. I would recommend only to run in the opposite direction! read more
