I just wanted to take a moment and sincerely thank you for working with me this morning. I know I got lucky that a job got cancelled, but I really feel like you guys worked hard to get me taken care of. I am an Accounting Manager, and even though I have been a homeowner for 13 years, I still feel like I am "in over my head" when it comes to issues with my home. The reason this door turned into an emergency - when it's been so bad for so long - is because I feel so intimidated trying to find someone to do repairs in my home. I feel like today, I found someone who can really help me. Who DID really help me! Before the door repair was completed, one of your guys was asking me if I wanted the missing handle on my sliding glass door fixed. I had bought the replacement, but did not have time the previous weekend to get it done. They took care of it. Then I asked if they could take a look at my drawer in the kitchen. I really had intended to get a quote. What I got was a fixed drawer. Quickly. Your guys were quite competent and very comfortable to be around. As best I can tell at this point, the work was quality. My closet door hasn't been that smooth EVER! Those gentlemen can come work on my home anytime - tell them I said that. What I paid for those three repairs tickled me. I told lots of folks about you today. Not only did they love the price, it turns out a lot of folks like me are intimated by home repairs. We may have to start a support group - LOL! Meantime, I expect you will get some business for this. (And yes, I will post on Yelp.) Seriously - thank you. You guys (and a little bit of luck) turned a stressful situation for me into one that just ended up making me happy.

We contacted Mr. Handyman to replace some interior doors at our home. I wish we never would have,…read moreand I'm only posting this review to save others from the headache we experienced. Below are a few highlights of their service: -They were very inflexible with scheduling and the only time they could come was when I needed to drop my son off for summer camp. -The technician who came to work on the doors did not wear shoe covers or offer to clean up the debris he tracked into our home as he worked on the doors -The doorknobs were installed backwards, so that the doors could only be locked from the outside of the rooms (locking people inside). We have children; this could be problematic. -The technician left before I could review his work -When I called to ask about having the doorknobs reversed the receptionist (I believe her name was Kristin) hung up on me. -After being hung up on, I called back to see when we could expect the technician to return, and I was told he would be back after his trip to Home Depot (we live about 15 minutes away from Home Depot). It was around 1:30 in the afternoon when I called the first time, at 3:30 when no one had been back to our home to put the doorknobs on correctly, I called back to check the status. -I was transferred to the owner of the company, who told me the tech would be out to put the doorknobs on correctly. No one ever showed up that day to correct the work. So we had to reverse the door knobs. -The following day the tech showed up 2 hours later than he was expected and grumbled, "I'm not perfect". I don't expect anyone to be perfect, but when a mistake is made it should be corrected. Working with Mr. Handyman has been a nightmare, and I would love to save anyone from this headache. I strongly advise looking for a different Handyman company. At this point our project is only halfway done and a door that once closed no longer closes. However, fortunately the locks are back on the correct side of the door. -They left many scratches and gouges in the paint of our door trim and did not try to touch it up even though he painted the doors the same color as the trim. - They started the work before, they received all the doors, meaning they were planning on stretching the project out across weeks. I hope it's just a weird coincidence, but it came across like this is the type of company that promotes men being able to put locks on the outside of doors enabling them to lock women and children in rooms against their wills. After my request for them to put the doorknobs on correctly, I was asked not to call back (only my husband could call) by the same receptionist who hung up on me. It seems important to this company that the women and children being locked inside these rooms do not speak up or advocate for themselves. This has been a horrific experience working with Mr. Handyman. I personally don't feel safe with them in my home, and I hope this review helps consumers to pick a handyman who is handy and accountable.

These guys were subcontractors on a job to install an egress window in our basement bedroom and…read morealso cut bigger holes for windows in the main room in the basement. In short, the experience was terrible and led to me not using the same contractor for other work we need done. Because the basement was unfinished, they didn't do any work to mitigate the mess in the basement. After they left, I went downstairs to check on the work and discovered that they had flooded the entire basement. There was standing water 20 feet from the windows they were cutting. We had a lot of boxes stacked and covered in the basement about 8 feet from where the windows were being cut and the water seeped under the entire "protected" pile of our stuff. A futon mattress and fiber-board desk were ruined. I spent at least 4 hours after they left trying to clean up the mess and save my stuff from damage. In short, I couldn't not believe how careless they were and never dreamed they'd leave a job site in that condition. But wait, there's more! When the contractor actually went to put the window in, he discovered that the hole wasn't the correct size. A different crew showed up the next day unannounced at 7am and just started cutting to fix it. I had no idea when they were coming and I'm sure all the neighbors were thrilled to hear concrete sawing that early in the morning. On top of all of this, the work was poor. If you look closely at the windows, the cuts aren't even close to level or straight. The contractor had to compensate in the framing for the crooked cuts. We'll also have to compensate in our finishing for the poor cuts. In the end, there's a bunch of guys in Denver with concrete saws. I can't think of any reason to choose Hawley Coring over any of the others.

I hired this company for a concrete project. After the concrete was poured, I discovered that the…read moreslab at my garage side door was essentially level with the threshold, which allows water to enter the garage during rain. This was not the outcome I expected. The contractor maintains that I approved every aspect of the project before the pour. I disagree. While we discussed and approved other aspects of the work, I do not believe we ever discussed the change in elevation at this location. Whether that was a misunderstanding or a communication failure, the result is a slab that does not meet my expectations. My biggest disappointment has been how the issue has been handled. Rather than scheduling the agreed upon second phase to correct the problem, the contractor has repeatedly focused on assigning blame and insisting that I approved every detail. The conversations have become argumentative instead of solution oriented, and at times have felt personal rather than professional. I understand that construction projects can involve misunderstandings. What matters most is how a company responds when a customer raises a legitimate concern. I was looking for cooperation and a clear plan to resolve the issue. Instead, I have experienced delays, poor communication, and a reluctance to move forward with the corrective work.

My day was wasted waiting for them and now I have to miss another day of work, my emotional support animal has to be at doggy day care another day and the manager, Dave Fleck, is a liar and was caught lying in a call that was recorded. I also recommend never buying Dream Finders Homes as they deal with the bottom of the barrel of trades and when they sent someone to inspect a leaky roof in September, they only saw one of multiple leaks and this is my second time dealing with needing to uproot my schedule to deal with all these companies that require to be here and apparently I'm being blamed for needing to be at work and scheduling on a day far enough out that I could be gone without missing work or my required office times. Is this what being a working woman is? Getting blamed for picking one day that actually works and then getting blamed when the trade doesn't show up?!?!
