I lost ZERO pounds and ZERO inches with cool sculpting. Huge waste of money. Please note: The cool sculpting process came with 4 additional things you could try for free and I tried all but 1 because my last one I asked to rebook as I had a meeting come up at work, called and left 2 messages and never got a return phone call to reschedule. Dr. Szabo saved my life…read more After seeing a different derm at a different practice over the course of a few months and three appointments regarding a mole on the sole of my foot, I was told each time it was "normal." Although, I had not been seen at Alta Vista in a few years, the staff worked me in. I returned to Dr. Szabo. She took my concerns seriously and immediately biopsied it and called me a few days later with results after hours with concerning news. It was a very serious acral melanoma. She urged me have a oncological surgeon remove it asap, which I did. And luckily, my sentinel lymph biopsy showed the cancer did not spread to my lymphatic system. She and her staff have been following me closely and gone above and beyond to make sure I have routine skin check appointments. This practice and the entire staff have gone above and beyond for myself & my family! While I did see results from this procedure, it was on the low side. I had saw a deal on either…read moreGroupon or Living Social, and when I called Laser Magic, they said they would honor the deal directly. I ended up buying a nine visit treatment plan which took three weeks to complete. When you are undergoing treatment, you are directed to take Flush Free Niacin and L-Carnatin; after my 12 treatments (more on why 12 in a bit) were completed, I watched a Dr. Oz episode that recommended a person not take Niacin without a doctor's supervision because it can cause problems in one of your major organs (I can't remember which one). I was advised to walk for 30 minutes a day or to do some type of exercise for 30 minutes a day while I was being treated. I had to drink 1/2 ounce of water per one pound of body weigh per day to help flush my system, with a minimum of 64 ounces per day. I was advised to wear a compression garment for at least 2-8 hours a day at a minimum and to massage the targeted areas. I also was advised to avoid alcohol (which was hard to do, but I did it!) and to eat sensibly. I religiously followed all the instructions, even wearing a compression garment for more like 16-24 hours a day. Prior to starting the treatment, the technician told me they would be asking me about my bowel movements, although no explanation was given why they were asking about BMs. I was not asked about my BMs until the third treatment, and then it was only after I brought it up. At the time, I had not seen an increase or decrease in BMs, so when asked, "How are your BMs?" I replied, "They are fine." This business loses a start for not explaining why they would be asking about BMs, since that is an integral part of the treatment plan. On treatment five, it was finally explained to me that the BMs should have increased and should have the consistency of baby food (gross, I know), because that is how the fat is being processed out of your system. Since I had not been seeing an increase or that type of consistency, I was advised to up my L-Carnatin intake and to start taking fiber supplements. It was at this point that I mentioned to the technician that I didn't feel like I was seeing the type of results I was hoping for. She said she would speak with the doctor (who I never saw or spoke to) about this and possibly getting some comp treatments. At treatment nine, my body was re-measured and I don't think I had even lost the advertised 3.5 minimum inch lost. The technician then comped me with three more treatments, with a one week break between treatment nine and ten. At the end of treatment 12, my measurements were not taken again, so I do not have an accurate measurement of how exactly how many inches I lost in the targeted area. I can see that the targeted area has decreased, however, it has not decreased in the extent I thought it would. Keep in mind that the inch loss is a cumulative total of several different areas on the body, not just the targeted area. Some may say I got what I deserved, as this type of procedure is just a pipe dream. Dr. Oz had an episode where he featured these treatments and he recommended it. I would recommend this place only if you have a Living Social or Groupon deal; don't pay full price and don't expect big results.
