I chose Morpheus8 treatment, which again I was instructed on how to prepare for (diet, supplements, face regiment, etc.) since I have never done it before. My face and neck were numbed for the procedure, which helped a lot, though some discomfort was still there, just like with any procedure. I appreciated that Irene who performed the procedure talked me through her every move and checked with me often throughout the whole process. It was very comforting. She was confident and gentle at the same time. I had enough downtime to recover after the procedure with some miracle mask that helped a lot with redness and heat. I also got detailed post-care instructions as a follow up text, which was helpful and thoughtful, and someone followed up with me on the next day. The office was small, but very clean, organized, and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and professional. I must note competitive pricing - especially for the area. A Facial That Turned Into a High-Pressure Sales Pitch. The offer seemed to demonstrate promising results , especially since my usual laser facials had plateaued, and the spa was conveniently located near my former residence. I was excited to try something new and get to visit the neighborhood again on top of what appeared to be something I'd really like to subscribe to because it was none invasive self care. The Good: * Upon arrival, the exterior of the building appeared dated like it was 30 years ago, with windows that hadn't been cleaned in a long while, bars and old paint. My first impression was this was a dingy back alley. However, the interior was a pleasant surprise--clean and spa-like. I felt really good about this. * Dr. Mark, the owner and a dermatologist, introduced himself and conducted a thorough skin analysis using advanced imaging technology, providing insights into moisture levels, sun damage, and more. * The facial itself, administered by Clair, (who had magic hands), was relaxing and enjoyable. The red light therapy session was particularly soothing. The Not-So-Good: * Post-treatment, the experience took an unexpected turn. It felt like a roller coaster with this place. Dr. Mark introduced a red light therapy machine priced at $6,995.99, suggesting I purchase it for home use. Despite my reservations, he offered a discounted price of $5,000 with 18% interest financing. When I declined, he became passive-aggressive, emphasizing that he usually doesn't come in to his 38 spas and took time with me, and that he wouldn't discuss the offer again and that the price would increase to $15,000 in the future, which he said I likely would not be able to afford. He basically said that regardless of my decision, whatever it was would not make or break him and he did not care. . This was a real up down conversation of sales no-nos , which I could not believe was happening. When I went to pay I felt like I was being dismissed. I felt like Pretty Woman. Seriously? Well we know the ending of that * The high-pressure sales tactics overshadowed my initial negative then positive experience and it felt like the death spiral with the sales pitch. It felt less and less like a spa visit and more like a sales pitch. Why would I want one of these machines at home and what amounts to car payments on something that would be obsolete in 90 days but I had 2 more years and 9 months remaining in payments? This did not make sense to me. Nor did the 18% interest. Final Thoughts: While the facial treatment was satisfactory, except for the white crumbs from the facial paste all over my face falling like dandruff because he interrupted the finish and it was not washed off, the aggressive sales approach was completely off-putting. A spa should be a place of relaxation, not a venue for high-pressure sales. I won't be returning to Bliss Spa or any of its affiliated locations.
