Dear Hubby wanted to stop at the antique places in town. I reminded him that the previous shop at this location had closed. I was very happy to see this new entity in the same space. The address is the same, but the interior has been remodeled and modernized. It's much more open, with fresh paint and a different vibe. It's still a vintage mall kind of arrangement, with vendors having spaces for their own unique finds. They feature a full line of Dixie Bell paints and accessories for those ready to refinish furniture. This is something we're starting to pursue, and I picked up a few supplies. It was also fun to browse through the shop and see the treasures that dealers have brought in for sale. Prices are mostly fair. The woman minding the shop was very friendly and helpful. Her sunny attitude complimented the new venue. We always enjoyed browsing the previous owner's shop, and now there's a different experience to be had with the new ownership at this location.

In store I saw one dress listed for 295 and on depop it was 131 + tax. That felt absolutely awful seeing especially because its scamming people in person.

This particular shop, not crazy big but does pack a whole lot of punch to it. Right when you walk in, it's two stories. Majority of the retail is downstairs. There's loads of home decors as one would imagine with a place like this. The selections of dish ware, beautiful glassware, amazing hat sections as well as a wide array of jewelry. There's so much to look at. In the back of the store was also another little shop that's a florist with both some fresh cut flowers and dried flowers. Loads of little trinkets, a whole displays of candles as well as some stationary. Not sure if the furniture is part of the display or if they're retail. Either or, another cute spot.

I wasn't planning to buy anything, but I found a dish of cool rings fashioned from vintage spoons, made by a woman in Ojai. One of them fit just right, and I liked that it was one of a kind. My husband bought it for me for the reasonable price of $37. I gather Tala offers interior design services, and the shop serves as a showroom as well as a retail store.
