    My little breakfast at Fabrique.
    Goetz B.

The Fabrique branch in Rosenlundsgatan is a relaxed and kind of large bakery with a nice selection of delicious sandwiches and sweet delights in combination with good coffee, just what I was looking for to start my day. Recently I was in Stockholm again, and since I visited a Fabrique branch in London, I thought next time when I'm in Stockholm, I should check out their local shops there, that's where they started after all. It is now quite few years ago since I lived in Stockholm and ever since I moved away, I always enjoy going back and visit the city for a few days every now and then. When I last visited the city in September 2015, it seemed as if Fabrique branches had opened at almost every corner. With currently 13 shops, it looks like they are becoming a major force in Stockholm. As I was living in Södermalm, I started one day with a breakfast at the nearby shop in Rosenlundsgatan. The place is beautiful, and as I noticed when walking around the streets of Stockholm during my short stay, this location is also bigger than most of the other Fabrique branches I had seen. They use Johan & Nyström coffee and made a reasonably nice flat white. I had a very tasty savoury sandwich and a very delicious blueberry roll. Fabrique is becoming a bit of a chain these days, perhaps like GAIL's in London. As long as the breads and buns continue to taste as flavoursome and lovely as they do now, they should expand as much as they like. If you are in Södermalm in need of a coffee break, the Fabrique branch in Rosenlundsgatan would definitely be a good choice - friendly staff, good food and a great atmosphere.

We had breakfast here and I love their bread. Coffee was nice and the cardamom snail was special. I would recommend this place.

Per the website recently undergoing a change in ownership, the Café and Tea Room previously praised by some for offering one of Sweden's best White Lady Cakes and seasonal Semla featuring only half-stocked shelves at 09h30 on a Monday, it was with just one other man sipping Coffee on the patio that questions were abruptly answered and four items gathered for Cash-only, the clerk's surprisingly limited English fluency perhaps playing part in the situation. Sitting down with one plate and a bag outdoors, Bananza's Budapest Cake replacing Berries offered elsewhere with Orange Slices that were matched to Milk Chocolate and Vanilla Cream, it was from here that two of three items ordered repeatedly at other Bakeries fell flat, the Tosca dry and gritty beneath Nuts and a Chocolate Ball flavored more like Oats than Cocoa or Coconut while the Katalan thankfully propped up everything else by way of its buttery center surrounded by a double-layer of Jam.

The White Lady Cake is my go-to birthday cake, and we even ordered it for our wedding cake. High quality and great prices keep us coming back. I wish they had vegetarian/vegan options for their lunch specials, but I don't really go there for lunch. I go for the treats! What they do well, they do VERY well. Unfortunately the only indoor seating is on the 2nd floor, so keep that in mid if you are taking grandma or a sleeping baby out to fika. Their semlor are top-notch -- don't miss out!

I can't tell if the multitude of American reviews are because 1) Petrus has managed to attract tourists; 2) these particular Americans have taste; 3) Swedish people don't really use Yelp; or 4) some combination thereof. Needless to say, Petrus was recommended by some other friends who had previously visited Stockholm as the go-to for buns. It is well worth the trip. As many have noted, the storefront is small and tucked away off of a fairly high traffic pedestrian thorough fare. Given how many people are obsessed with staring into their phones, surely following google maps to the address won't be tough, but I've learned to lower my expectations of people over time. ANYWAY, I was pleased to stop into a coffee shop that wasn't Espresso House or Fabrique, the latter of which I'm lucky enough to enjoy at home. I was able to grab a seat by the door which gave an interior view (through a window) to their bakery which occupies the other space on the first floor of their building. Despite the baking appearing done for the day at that time, it was neat to see the machinery behind the delectable treats we were having. Coffee was straightforward and lacking in pretension, as you served yourself from the drip coffee thermos in the restaurant. As many have suggested, I'm sure the kanelbulle would have been as tasty as the kardamummabulle and "breakfast bun" (a slightly sweet combo of various nuts and seeds) I had. Everything was quick, pleasant, and tasty, just as a coffee shop / fika place should be; in a quiet, residential area which was relaxing; and a perfect beginning to get the day jump started.
