Fresh baked breads were being pulled from the oven and placed on the counter while we stood there deciding what to order. The sandwiches listed on the chalk boards all sounded good and the lady working there was very friendly and happily translated and described the choices in English for us. I ordered a sandwich with avocado, onion, cottage cheese, arugula, and lettuce and since you are given a choice of any bread they have available I chose a pumpkin seed bread. The bread itself was very delicious and fresh as were all the ingredients and this was the perfect healthy lunch. My wife enjoyed her open face sandwich consisting of Serrano ham, arugula, lettuce, cucumber, pickle, and mozzarella cheese. There are a selection of beverages in the display case and I chose a can of flavored sparkling water and my wife had a bottled smoothie. There is also water available for free behind the counter. The atmosphere here was friendly, comforting, and inviting. The food was delicious, fresh, and healthy. If I had spent more time in Stockholm I would have certainly returned to Bulleboden.

It's also about slowing down and savoring the moment rather than rushing off with a to-go cup. After a long afternoon of walking around and exploring Stockholm, I was grateful for an opportunity to sit back and relax. It was clear from the first moment we entered that this wasn't your fast-paced type coffee shop. There was only one person making the beverages and taking payments at the register. He skillfully crafted each beverage with a design on top while each person on the line waited patiently for their turn to order. The restaurant is pretty narrow and the order counter is by the door, so the order line quickly snaked outside the restaurant. The counter is on the right side of the restaurant, surrounded by a case of pastries and a wall-mounted blackboard with a list of beverages. There was a small seating area directly across from the register and a few more tables in the back. My friends and I ordered lattes and cinnamon pastries and squeezed into the high-top seats at one of the tables to enjoy them. My pastry was light and sweet and the latte was decent. We took advantage of the free WiFi to send some emails and texts, but for the most part enjoyed our conversations with each other.

The cinnamon buns in Sweden are obviously exceptional as they originated from there- crunchy on the outside and warm, melted, soft cinnamon goodness on the inside. The waffles are delicious as well, regardless of which waffle you get. All in all, this is a great place to go to if you're visiting Stockholm!

The waffle was perfectly crispy and the jam was delicious, but it wasn't a particularly filling for the price, really just a treat. They had fancier offerings as well, for a bit more money, as well as savory combinations. I overheard from a neighboring table that you can order a waffle with both whipped cream and ice cream. Where was this information when I was ordering? Oh well, next time. I would visit Älskade Traditioner again, but perhaps only for dessert. I wanted a sandwich that they did not have any more of but someone in the back overheard that and came out and offered to make one for me. Very simple gesture but it ended up being one of the best sandwiches of the trip. Love the atmosphere, staff and food. And all the other customers who came in seemed equally laid back. Lots of locals starting their morning here, some working remotely, some just reading, and others catching up with friends. The people who work here are the absolute nicest people. Coffee is delicious. They have fresh squeezed orange juice in the mornings, as well as some green juice and ginger shots which will get you going. There's nothing more satisfying than starting your morning sipping on a latte while nibbling on a cardamom or cinnamon bun. Swedish coffee culture is absolutely elite, and is what I'll miss most now that I'm back in the states. Can't wait to go back to Stockholm and drop by Lilla Caféet på Söder again!

Originally founded in 1920 by Helga Södermark, another Konditori like Vete-Katten built by a female that has grown into an institution with time, Tössebageriet resides at Karlavägen 77 where it has served locals for nearly one hundred years, the menu rare to change save for seasonal items such as the supposed best-in-Stockholm Semla served during the holidays. Open weekdays at 7am and two hours later Saturday or Sunday, seating areas inside and out rarely with an open space during early hours and around lunch, it was shortly after entry that a two-top against the far wall became free, six items plated by a young lady at costs lower than Mr. Cake joined by freely-refillable Coffee and tasting started off by a Cardamom Bun indistinguishable from the one Ljungberg offers at his newer Bakery. Further showing evidence of connections to Mr. Cake with a Doughnut served upright, the name Manadens Bulle used to describe Dough centered by Strawberry Jam, it was only in Tössebageriet's Katalan that quality dropped off, the base too dense and dry beneath only a bit of Raspberries and Frosting. Returning to form with a traditional Tosca, Sugar- shellacked Almonds sliced thin atop buttery Cake, it was in a Budapest Cake packed with Raspberries that Tössebageriet shined brightest, each bite of airy Cream and Meringue slightly different from the one prior while a round Chokladboll was equally heterogenous but densely packed in Oats and Coconut Flakes.

This is a great addition to the coffee shop jungle that is Stockholm.
