Dr. Yuri was able to get us in a few days later after the consultation to remove a few of mom's infected teeth. My mom was the most CALM she's ever been at the dentist. She even gave 2 THUMBS UP after the infected tooth was removed. The whole procedure was painless and Dr. YURI performed a spectacular job from numbing to pulling the tooth out and making sure my mom was comfortable the entire time. Thank YOU Dr. YURI AND Team! My family has been going to this dentist for about four years, and until now, we have always paid…read morethe patient portion we were told was due at every visit. Out of the blue, we received a call from the office telling us that we owe approximately $4,800. We were told that since 2022, insurance apparently has not been paying for or has been denying certain services. The most frustrating part is that no one brought this to our attention for years. There were no warnings, no courtesy calls, no statements explaining there was an ongoing issue, and no indication that our balance was accumulating. When I asked why we had never been notified, I was told they didn't want to simply call us and say we owed almost $5,000. Excuse me, what? Wanting to make that call and needing to make that call are two completely different things. If there is an insurance or billing problem causing a patient's balance to grow into thousands of dollars, they absolutely need to communicate that. Instead, we were suddenly told about this massive balance and that payment was needed immediately or it could be sent to collections. Even a simple heads-up earlier, an explanation of what was happening, or an option to make payments while they continued working with the insurance company would have been far more reasonable. If insurance eventually paid, the account could have been credited appropriately. The staff has generally been friendly, and the dental work has been okay. We have had fillings fall out, but to their credit, they were always willing to fix them. However, business and billing practices matter, and after this experience, I no longer trust this office with my family's finances. I feel we were treated unfairly and put in an extremely stressful financial situation because of a problem that apparently went uncommunicated for years. Four years of being loyal patients and paying what we were told we owed should have earned us better communication and basic courtesy. I strongly encourage anyone considering this office to closely monitor their insurance claims and account balance. Don't assume that because you're paying what they tell you at each visit, there won't be a large surprise balance waiting years down the road.

Premier Dental Care of Eastlake also known as "Family Dentistry by Dr. Maroon" is under the same…read moreoffice as Palomar Dental Care. Also, Steven works at both location (Palomar Dental Care and Premier Dental Care of Eastlake). I am writing this review to warn others about the predatory and unethical practices at Palomar Dental Care. My senior citizen mother, whose first language is not English, went in by herself for a simple filling on May 6, 2025, and was subjected to exaggerated dental cost experience. Instead of addressing just the filling she requested, they pressured her into an extensive and expensive treatment plan that she explicitly stated she couldn't afford. She felt rushed through out the process, from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM, without giving her a day to consider or seek a second opinion. Thus, she end up signing the contract without even knowing full details of the contract specially about the cancellation clause. They completed "Visit 1" and "Visit 2" in one visit without proper explanation or consent known to her. Their clause stating "If treatment commences and is cancelled after commencement, a nonrefundable minimum of 50% charge will be applied" is outrageous and, frankly, doesn't seem legal under California law. My mom stressed out that she could NOT pay the full patient cost. She also told me that she didn't know about this 50% clause when she signed it. She also said Steven even told her that the contract will be finalized on her next visit, supposedly yesterday, May 8. California Civil Code § 1689.3 provides a clear three-business-day right to rescind dental services contracts. Their attempt to enforce this "non-refundable minimum of 50% charge" clause and their refusal to immediately cancel after receiving our formal letter Wednesday, May 7 is a blatant disregard for patient rights under California Civil Code § 1689.3. Despite our legal right to cancel within three business days (which my mom exercised), they are still harassing my mother by calling and trying to schedule a meeting to "talk it over." She received a call yesterday (May 8) and today (May 9). This is unacceptable and shows their intent to bully vulnerable patients! This dental office preys on vulnerable individuals, uses high-pressure sales tactics, and attempts to enforce outrageous contract clauses to trap patients. We are within our legal cancellation period, and their refusal to honor it is appalling. AVOID THIS DENTAL OFFICE AT ALL COSTS! Provider name also known as R I MAROON DENTAL GROUP

They reschedule through text and answer any questions through text. Also last time I checked out, one of the ladies at the front desk (couldn't catch her name) was talking to her coworker in front of me for like a good 3 minutes and it was completely unrelated to my visit. I felt like I was a burden burdening their conversation, and she asked me with the most annoyed tone if I was free a month out after they were done. Not "hi, I can help you right here" or "did you get everything you needed today?" Like I'm burdening you with your 3 minutes of conversation?
