This is a good place to go to find good cheap fabric. It is not organized just piles of rolls of fabric on top of one another. Mind you some of these are defective rolls or sample rolls which means some of them are pre-cut or have small blemishes. But this can be worked around easily. And sometimes you'll get a discount if you ask. The staff is casual & friendly. Almost everyone who shops there is a working seamstress so if the ladies behind the counter can't help you someone shopping there will. Most of the ladies behind the counter also know about fabric. BTW none of the rolls are labelled except for the price. But if you are slightly familiar with fabric you'll find what you need. Also the ladies at the counter, the owner or someone shopping there can tell you with certainty if you found the right fabric. They'll accept credit cards for purchases above $10 & absolutely no returns. So you better be sure before you buy. read more

A bit disorganized, but if you want to save money and and need fabrics, this is a good place to go to. They have nice products. I just don't see how I may find something I like and I go back next time and find the one I liked because those rolls of fabrics are just piled up on top of each other.... The best prices in town. Mr. Arnold is the owner and has a great staff working with him. They have a nice system in place for helping customers. Sadly, the clientele is a bit inconsistent. You get rude people who go in there and make a mess and leave ... Kind of treat it like a Walmart or goodwill. Hard not to notice those people because it's a pretty peaceful environment. Otherwise they have a great selection, some vintage prints, new stuff and random stuff you just might be into. Arnold's is my go to place for when I need large amounts of fabric for curtains, furniture, pillows, table cloths, etc. I try to find fabrics in the $ 1- $ 2/yard range, if possible. Sometimes the selection is kind of hit or miss, but usually you can find something nice for a good price. Since this store is located a little far from me, I tried to find some fabric on the south side of Miami-Dade to make some drapes and pillows out of. I pretty much knew what I wanted, but couldn't find anything I remotely liked in the area and I went to quite a few nice stores. The fabrics that came close to what I was hoping for were about $ 32/yard or more. When I went to Arnold's, I found some fabric that I really loved, in the right weight, colors, was buttery soft and very easy to care for. It was $ 1/yard, so I bought more than I needed to be safe, but even if you're talking about a couple of extra yards, you're still only talking about a couple of extra dollars. I also wanted to buy some contrasting fabric for additional pillows. I was able to buy some faux suede in a perfect color for $ 5/yd., a fraction of what I would have had to pay elsewhere and because the fabric was so wide, I was able to make a couple of good size pillows for about a yard of fabric. Another time I bought some velour like microfiber fabric to reupholster my dining room chairs for about $ 2/yard, while everywhere else was selling similar fabric for over $ 30 a yard! All of these fabrics were also stain resistant, easy to clean, soft, pretty much wrinkle free and a good weight. I've also made table decorations and table cloths from fabric from Arnold's for weddings. I've been able to find the perfect fabric at $ 1/yard. It's nice to be able to save any money you can, when planning a wedding, so I go to Arnolds! It sometimes takes a bit of effort to find what your looking for, but the price makes it worth the effort. I can easily save hundreds of dollars on a single project! They also sell a very nice selection of trims you won't find elsewhere, but they are still well priced. I give one star because last week I went there and I was buying fabric it was white but I saw some dirty marks on it. I touched it to make the lady aware and nkt to cut there hence there were more yards, she became aware and wanted to cut on a different side but this other lady came and started speaking in spanish and the lady nodded and started cutting the dirty marks for me, the wasn't even straight. The place is disorganized piles and piles kf fabrics laying on each other. But you will find your way. Just that the behavior of that lady was uncalled for. Next time I will go in I will get her name to specify who she is. Prices are good and they have great fabrics. read more

This is the perfect place for cheap fabrics and trims. If you have any major projects and needs something simple and easy- come here. There are often beautiful finds if you are willing to dig. Worth the trip. Right off I95 west of the 125th street exit. read more
