I wanted to post a review when I saw the rating! I think this store is much better than most ratings from 2018 are saying. I am writing this in Nov of 2024 and I think it is a great store. Yes, the fabrics are expensive. That's because this is where you go to buy expensive fabric. The signage is excellent, and they have a sale section in the very back with tonnes of choices! I was able to buy fabric for my project for just a few dollars. They have a lot of notions that were all priced very reasonably. It was clean, there was no foul smell (which can not be said of most fabric stores) and the staff were perfectly polite and helpful. If you're looking to save, take advantage of seasonal sales! I hope this review encourages you to give it a try. They have upholstery, quilting, and garment fabrics. Very diverse stock! Side note, but there is lots of good parking here too! read more

This Fabricland is pretty standard. It's got a good selection of fabrics, tons of notions and probably everything you need to complete both basic and complex projects. Staff are generally pretty friendly, but move at their own pace. (Read: slow as molasses). I'm not complaining, just noticing. Overall, the space is large, but limiting- you can tell it's organized, but they could probably use a bigger location. read more

The larger Fabricland is much more spacious and organized than the old one. Staff are generally helpful and courteous. Sadly, Fabricland is starting to get too expensive with some of their fabric and will eventually price themselves out of business. I recently went to purchase fabric for the back of a baby quilt and was shocked at the price of 32.00 dollars a metre I have been told that the increase in the price of some fabric is to be competitive with the online market. Unfortunately it is going to have the direct opposite effect. I love being able to touch and feel the fabric before I buy it, but I am not willing to be taken advantage of under the pre-text of "competitive pricing". Sorry, but I will be doing MORE online and less in store shopping till they adjust their pricing. read more

This store serves Kingston well enough, but that's the extent of it. I'm finding that it seems to have a lot of the same fabric and notions for long periods of time...sometimes years. Its left me wanting to find time to explore options. read more

Fabricland used to be the place to go, now that its really overpriced I won't ever go back there. They put high price on fabric to make you think that the 50% discount is worth it. At the end you did not saved as the price you paid for was the original price. they taking advantage of people. The staff are rude. read more

Staff are not very friendly, they talk down to you. Very unorganized and messy the laddies in there were not helpful at all. Everything seemed more expensive the other stores in other areas. Will not be going back there any time soon. read more

Hate having to go to this store, but unfortunately is the only one in Kingston. As soon as you get to the door it is plastered with "rules", no beverages, food, watch your children......and if you do bring your child, prepare to be "reminded" to watch them in the store!! Once I was there, a staff person told a grown man he wasn't allowed to have his coffee in the store. When he said he didn't realize, she told him there was a notice on the door....like seriously?? Now the best part, you have to ask for a key to the washroom, where AGAIN signage of rules is on the walls including it will be inspected after each use!! So folks if you already didn't feel like you were comfortably welcomed after viewing and accepting the rules into the store, where BTW the staff NEVER greets people, you can expect to feel like a child after you use their washroom. I will not be giving them my business anymore. This is ridiculous whoever is running things over there, and will instead drive the 45 mins to Belleville where the staff are phenomenal and you truly feel welcome in THEIR store. read more

During Saturday Sale, one cash was open and line-up was to the back wall. Stock was very limited and heaped on a small number of tables with zero organization. Perhaps it would have been beneficial to close the store earlier for posted renovations instead of losing customers! read more
