We were participating in the shop hop that was in conjunction with the quilt show. Four in our…read moregroup. This was our first stop. It set the mood for a few of us. Two made no purchase, returned to car. I picked out a few pieces. The woman cutting fabric notched the selvage with a v before she tore it. I asked what the purpose was. Her reply was basically that I was still getting my yardage. I was not losing out. Sorry? I have seen fabric torn, my question was why the notch. I did not ask in an accusatory way. I was CURIOUS. My sister in law was at table behind me having fabric cut. We know that some stores have minimum cuts. She asked for 1/3yd. cuts, but they are only cutting 1/2 yds. Okay, that is fine, half yards. Except AFTER the woman cuts her ONE single piece of a particular fabric does she realize she has cut my sil a half yard of the sale fabric, which is only sold by the yard. But apparently that was my sil fault, and well 'I guess you will get away with that one' As if we knew that one was different? Honestly, we did not see one sign that said there was a minimum at all. I will say they also lost some money. My sil loves fabric. She left quite a bit behind. Not the most friendly shop in an area of very friendly shops.

They mostly had tools and items I personal didn't need but I did see a small dvd rack while I waited on my husband. He had wanted to come in here because he had seen them featured on a pawn show. They have a 2nd location in South Bend but I have only been to this location so far. The person manning the counter was friendly enough but not much for chit chat. The only thing in here besides the dvds I wanted was the violin I saw. There were 2 and my husband and I were debating if one was a viola but we never found out because the lady just smiled at us. Might come back but we'll probably check out the other location before coming back to this one.
