Highly Disappointed in the price I paid for two small bouquets of flowers! I ordered two bouquets to be delivered a short distance from their shop to a restaurant where I was celebrating Valentine's Day with my wife, her sister and husband. Barged $307 for two bouquets. My wife and I travel the country often for work and of all the cities and locations I have ever purchased flowers this is by far the worst value I have ever seen. I will never purchase flowers from this florist again. I have purchased flowers closer to my home in the west suburbs and have gotten bouquets almost two times larger, just as fresh and beautiful for less $$$ than this. In fairness I will say that the bouquets were very nice so if you want nice flowers and are willing to pay far too much compared to others this is your place. $154 for a 10" tall bouquet is ridiculous! read more

She had a lot of beautiful ideas but when we got the predicted invoice it was wayyyy more than any average wedding; with a 1,000 transportation fee. Fabbrini's Flowers and my entire family go way back. Since 1962, our family became one of the early pioneers and bought a home in a new development named, 'Hoffman Estates'. At the time, my little 9-year-old brother (1957 - 1967) and a Fabbrini's family member became classmates and fast friends. When tragedy struck, and my baby brother passed away unexpectedly in a car accident involving a drunk driver that left the scene of the accident, it was the first time death literally came knocking on our door. As my big sister and I were getting ready for our dates with our steady boyfriends, a police officer came knocking at the door that evening and said, "There has been an accident". Devastating words from a somber policeman, sent to deliver the horrible news. My brothers were on their way home from a long, cold day of sledding. The policeman was saying he wanted to escort my parents to the hospital. At that moment we did not know it was a trip to identify my little brother's body. Throughout our grieving and many untimely forced decisions, the entire Fabbrini family was wonderful to us. Not only did they contact my parents with their condolences, they designed so many dozens of beautiful flower arrangements for my brother's wake. The funeral home was filled to capacity with the fantastic beauty and scent of Fabbrini's flowers. Their goodwill gesture has never been forgotten. Fabbrini's florist has the freshest and most lovely and unusual flowers to choose from. The last time I ordered a bouquet for my Mom was Mother's Day, 2000. Of course, as always, it was lovely. I ordered a $100.00 plant arrangement with a few flowers to be added with a ribbon stating "Brother" for his funeral. When I saw it I couldn't believe how small the basket was. I was embarrassed to even ask the siblings to pitch in for it. An additional $25.00 for tax and delivery. I called to express my disappointment and they basically said that the price of plants have really gone up. Wouldn't budge to even take some money off. However, when I placed my order on the website, I did not receive an email confirmation, as one would expect, so I had to call the store to make sure they got my order. I live out of state. I ordered flowers to be delivered to my MIL's gravesite for Mother's Day. I asked to be sent a photo of the bouquet placed at her grave. $85 later for no photo...called and they had many excuses...too busy...whoever took my order wrote my instructions in the wrong spot...too busy to look for the gravesite, so they left them at the cemetery office. I choose this place randomly to order flowers for my cousin in Schaumburg. I called after they closed on Saturday. I sent an email and they called me on Sunday even though they were closed and took my flower order to be delivered the same day. Jim the owner said they couldn't make any arrangement but I can take something they already have made. He asked me what I was looking for and I said I wanted tulips. He said he had an arrangement of all tulips and I asked if he can add a few more flowers to it. He said sure. The arrangement my cousin received had only 4 tulips and a mixture of other flowers. I needed a pick me up for a colleague but first found Berthold's in Elk Grove Village. It was a little confusing because Berthold's had permanently closed but had forwarded their number and business to Fabbrini's. This was easily resolved over the phone and they routed me to their correct location. The shop is wonderfully decorated and I was greeted by several employees. They helped me pick out a ready made arrangement that was exactly what I wanted. They carefully wrapped it in a paper package that allowed me to transport it safely to the recipient's destination. Neither my husband or I know much about flowers but Bryan took the time to explain the various options and offer several suggestions to stay within our budget. He even painted a mailbox we used as a wedding card holder!
