F45 West San Marcos has been such a great addition to my fitness routine. The workouts are always well-structured, challenging, and efficient, which is perfect for working mom's busy schedule. Efficiency is key! The coaches are motivating, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about helping members improve their form and push themselves safely. The community vibe is also amazing--everyone is supportive and welcoming, no matter your fitness level. I always leave class feeling stronger and energized. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun, effective workout with great coaching. read more

Everybody here is great. Good vibes and laughs all the time. It's the positive and motivating atmosphere that keeps me coming back.

I really love F45. The workouts are challenging, but you can always go at your own pace, which makes it feel doable while still pushing you. I like that they switch things up throughout the week, some days are all about strength, and other days are more cardio-focused with a good mix of weights. I never feel like I'm doing the same thing over and over, and I always leave knowing I got a great workout. I've noticed my body getting stronger, firmer, and overall more fit, which has been such a great feeling. It's been a massive blessing for me, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants real results, a healthy and strong lifestyle, and a community that keeps you motivated! All the coaches are great! Love Taryn, Rachel and Jay! read more

Moved to San Marcos for a summer internship and decided to try this F45 location, and I'm SO HAPPY I did!! The owner & coaches are super friendly and welcoming. I started going to classes everyday and quickly felt like I belonged to the F45 community. I really enjoyed how the workouts were different every day. With F45, you get a wide variety of exercises within a smaller time frame. I think that these workouts are perfect for beginners or to incorporate into your weekly workout routine! Overall, F45 is great if you're looking to build a sense of community and improve your athleticism. The owner, coaches, and members are great people!! I always looked forward to coming into the studio and highly recommend this location to anyone who's considering F45! I will definitely miss the awesome people here and will be back when I visit the area. read more

Attended a hyrox simulation at this gym and while the event was hard, I am very impressed with the trainers. It was run by Taryn and Jay and they are really great. Not only are they encouraging, but they give positive feedback and help you know when to adjust so you listen to your body and pull back if needed. Many places have trainers that push you too hard or not enough and these trainers had the right balance. Highly recommend this place, can't wait to go back! read more

The staff is incredibly friendly and want you to hit YOUR goals. They're very empowering and supportive throughout the whole workout. They're personable and make you feel part of the team. Also the workouts kick your butt!! Taryn and Weston made me feel like family from the get-- would 10/10 recommend. read more

I used to attend another local gym but it just wasn't cutting it anymore. From the day I started F45 I felt welcomed and like part of a family. The trainers all consistently push me to show up and give it my all. I like the versatility of the workouts (some days being just lifting and some days mixed with cardio) and the time of the workouts. The trainers make an extra effort to get to know you as a person not just as a client. So glad I found my home! read more

It took me a while to convince myself to try F45 and happy to report it's been the best decision by far. I just passed my 100th class and I have never felt stronger, fitter and more confident that I can do the hard stuff. The studio is clean, and well- organized, the coaches are engaged, attentive and supportive throughout the sessions. They have fun social activities to build community. If you have been thinking about it, I highly recommend to try it out for free for two weeks at F45 West San Marcos! read more

I've been a member of various gyms, including Orange Theory, CrossFit, and traditional gyms, and I've found that F45 strikes a great balance between weights and cardio. It allows you to work at your own pace, making it adaptable to your fitness level. I genuinely enjoy going to this gym--the coaches are great, and the members are typically friendly and welcoming. There's a supportive, nonjudgmental atmosphere with people of all fitness levels. I've been a member since the gym opened and have always been treated with respect. The coaches are consistently excellent, and the management is approachable, always willing to discuss membership questions. The month-to-month membership with no long-term commitment is a plus, but the fun environment and noticeable improvements in my physique make it easy to stay committed. read more

Fraudulent charges at $2,400 -- had to cancel my credit card. I've reached out to F45 several times on this matter, both to the local owner, Sarah, and to the main F45 legal team to report what I initially thought were accidental charges. Sarah promised to call me to resolve, then simply stopped responding. I received no response from their legal team. After more than a month of several unanswered emails, I told them if they did not respond by December 1 I would file a complaint with the BBB (done) and start posting publicly about my negative experience. So, here we go. It came to my attention that I have been billed recurring payments of $200 every two weeks since May 2023, for gym memberships we did not sign up for. My husband and I participated in the two-week "Founding" pre-opening sales for the West San Marcos branch of the F45 gym at $50 per person. We were charged on May 3 as expected, we attended two weeks' worth of classes, and then decided not to continue. At no point were we notified that this would be an ongoing subscription or recurring payment. It was simply supposed to be a two-week drop-in bundle. The paper flyer that conveniently no longer exists clearly marketed it this way. That's what we understood we were signing up for, and I didn't appreciate the surprise charge. There's also no way to cancel, which I don't understand. Further, Sarah entered our information into her system for us, since it wasn't working through the app for me -- we bought this $50 promotion prior to the gym officially opening, so not everything was functional. This means that she signed us up, she must have clicked through any terms and conditions on my behalf, or at least that part was skipped, and no terms of a membership or subscription were ever shared with me. (I know this because I'm one of the few who actually read them.) Since then, we were somehow subscribed for multiple overlapping, recurring memberships through the F45 app, which we did not sign up for and I don't see a way to cancel. I see one called "F45 Limited | 2x Weekly" and one called "F45 Foundation | Tier 2 | Biweekly Autopay" -- I assume the same show up on my husband's account, and I am being charged for both. How is this possible? This was all done without my consent, and there is no way to opt out, either in the app or online. So, don't test this gym out unless you're ready to subscribe for life. read more

I love f45 so much! But this location is the best. I've been to a few others and none quite have the same feel as West San Marcos. Before coming here I was having such a hard time staying consistent with exercise and was intimidated my cliquey workout classes and gyms. But once I came here I was hooked! I'm recommending it to all my friends. Quick.. efficient.. friendly and tough!! But not too tough that I won't come back ;) it's been two months and I've seen such a change in my body which is a plus but my energy levels have gone a 180. read more

Before the pandemic I used to live elsewhere and had an Orange Theory membership which I loved. Fast forward after pandemic I moved back SoCal. I hadn't worked out in a couple of years and was on a wellness journey. Initially I got an Orange Theory membership and it was the worst experience ever! I almost feel obligated to warn people not to go to that San Marcos studio. Anyway I decided to try F45. Classes at F45 are definitely more challenging and I feel like I'm getting more of a workout. Also we are not packed like sardines! One of the trainers is also the studio manager and she is awesome! She has high energy and really pumps up the class. She is also very helpful on the floor and will correct my form or offer assistance when doing the exercises. I have no coordination and I have ADHD so her assistance is very much appreciated. At other studios the instructors mainly just walk around not really offering much advice or help. There are closer studios but I specifically go to this one solely on that fact. read more

As a Doctor of Physical Therapy I am pretty picky on my exercise programs and classes. After my first week at F45 West San Marcos I was pleasantly surprised with the exercises. They incorporate a ton of movement variability, different planes of motion, single arm/leg exercises, and functional movement patterns that I preach with my patients! The workouts are intense, but only last 45 minutes, so I am able to get back in time for my busy work schedule. I appreciate the energy and fun of the classes too. The music, atmosphere, awesome coaches, and great community is what sets this gym apart. They've changed my mind about group classes. Whether you are a high level athlete or just a beginner, I highly recommend you try F45 West San Marcos out! read more
