Great Coaches, very supportive Staff overall. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Very clean gym &…read moreequipment. I honestly hate working out, and I've tried so many gyms, but I've been able to stick with this one because of the encouraging, boutique atmosphere. I love having the BeatBurn monitor to track my heart rate & workout progress. I also love being able to use my membership anywhere in the world when I'm travelling. Highly recommend if you're trying to get in shape, or are already fit and love a challenge. Bonus: Validated (free!) parking at the Parklawn location (and other locations I've been to in Montreal & London). All body types and (adult) age ranges are welcomed.

In the beginning, they would tell you that you can cancel your class anytime. If you do get ready to pay 16$ for it, even after paying 200+ for membership. It is scary to give them your card details. The classes are so congested, no space to work out. Even during COVID-19 they are crowded. Tom, the manager of studio never would reply to your emails. They are just finding different ways to earn money. Also, no human values, if you forget your water bottle by any chance. You can faint but they won't give you a water bottle they have. They don't even have a disposal glass to drink water. Just think once before joining OTF park lawn.

I have started training here since 15 days, it maybe too early to write a review but I have already…read moreattended about 11 sessions in the past 2 weeks or so - but I decided to review anyway. I have given up my regular membership after moving to this area, though I have a small gym at my place - it needs a lot of motivation for one to get out of the house and get things done, but at the same time you don't know if you are doing things right - unless you are monitored by someone who knows the stuff. They had a promo in the boxing week of 2019, so I signed up for the one month - $99 membership (unlimited classes). there were many first timers in my first class (held Jan 2, 2020). the first 3-4 sessions were very painful - at one point i couldn't walk/sit, but that is expected if you are training/moving your whole body after a long time at every level. each session was about 45 mins High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) as it stands. I still went and every time i did a class, i felt more confident - I would book more sessions and try to challenge myself, if you still think you won't be able to make it to the class - you have up to 3 hours or before to cancel so you don't get charged a fee ($15). I think that's very feasible as sometimes they even have wait list and if that amount is not charged, one takes it for granted. also, I love the trainers here, they may not get to see your every moment - but they are definitely going to catch hold of you if you are not doing it right, and correct you - y even sometimes taking photos/videos that actually helps you in correcting yourself. I will definitely comeback here and update at a later time but for now I do enjoy going here!

I've been training here now for about 6 months. I gave up on my traditional gym membership in…read morefavour of trying something different. After being introduced to F45 by a colleague from San Diego I thought I would see if there were any near by and would give them a try. F45 is a 45 min HIIT based exercise program where you're targeting all parts of your body fast and hard over the duration of the work out. It's not a drop in set up, you need to book in for one of the 5-7 class openings they offer each day. I tend to be an early bird so I get in for the 5:45am or 6:30am class each day. The price here is not cheap. I had just gotten my other gym membership down to about $40 a month flat and F45 is a weekly fee of about $54. However, the rationale for the lofty prices is that they claim you're receiving the benefit of having trainers pushing you throughout your class. That made sense to me, having paid $60/hr for 4 personal training sessions in a month and a membership came to about $280, so there is a savings. That being said, I would argue it's not what it's billed as, yes the trainers are friendly, and motivating, which I guess is the main basis for personal training but having experienced both I'd argue you're paying for the encouraging words rather than actual training. So I don't know if it's necessarily worth what they charge. You should take a trial class and be the judge. So where do I stand on this place? I really do love it. Despite my questions regarding the cost of membership, it is comparable with other studio type memberships, so I think it's just a shift in my thinking that needs to happen although I would like to see more hands on work with the trainers. The main differentiator for F45 is their 8-week challenge. Which happens once a quarter 4-5 times a year depending on how the calendar falls. It's free for members to participate in and at the end results are compared (biggest loser style) and you have the chance to win a prize. They give you every tool to be successful including a challenge app that forces you to track water and vitamin in-take, sleep, exercise and even provides a weekly meal plan for each stage of the challenge. I jumped into the first challenge that came up after I joined and followed it religiously, I saw losses in fat and gains in muscle that I'd never experienced before in such a short time. Many of the meal were great but a near equal amount were terrible, especially during the cleansing and cutting phases of the challenge (I now gag at the thought of Tumeric on anything - you would too after force feeding yourself Tumeric Oatmeal in the morning) but all of them took an insane amount of time to prepare - I don't know how people with office jobs even make this work. Aside from the hit or miss meals following the meal plan is VERY expensive (to the tune of an extra $200/week over what we normally spend) so it's not sustainable or realistic. That said The challenge is the best self motivating tool I've ever seen and I ended up winning the challenge I participated in for having the best overall results in the studio! I feel like a review should be fair so despite my couple of items I listed as needing improvement, overall I feel like this training program is effective and the Humber Bay location is quite good. Looking forward to participating in the next challenge but perhaps not following their meal plans so closely.

There are different routines each time you go with a different theme such as strength or endurance. You spend a certain amount of time on the rower, treadmill and doing floor exercises. So there's a great variety and all the coaches are really experienced (they're almost too by the script sometimes). The music is always high energy and the Orangetheory screen which shows your heart rate/calories burnt/splat points is really handy to keep you motivated (provided you have one of their heart rate monitors). This particular studio does get a bit crammed when the class is more than half full (12+ people, which is often) as there isn't a lot of room in the waiting area. But it's not an issue when you're working out. It does get fairly busy as there's only one studio in the city. So you should book your spot in advance through their app at least a day earlier. Parking is generally easy to find although workday evenings you might have to park a bit further away. Everyone is friendly and the exercises are easy to tailor to your abilities. I'd recommend this gym and location.
